Chapter Two

“Hie, my name is Caspian, and nice to finally meet the beautiful woman that my grandfather has been raving about and the Doctor who saved his life.” As he finally spoke after a moment of us just staring at each other, his voice sounded like drizzled sweet nectar. I wanted to hear it forever.  And he called me beautiful!

As he walked towards me, my heartbeat increased more as I was frozen on the spot. I did not even know why my body was reacting like that and being out of control. As he extended his hand to shake mine, I could swear butterflies fluttered and sparks exploded as we touched skin to skin.

A sexy smile immediately appeared on his face after we touched too, as if he had felt the same as me. I had no idea why I was feeling like this.

“My Soulmate.” I could swear I heard him whisper lowly, but maybe it was just my now lovesick imagination.

We first continued staring at each other again, with our hands still clasped in each other’s, both of us not wanting to let go.

It was only when we heard the clearing of a throat that we finally let go. A blush staining my cheeks as I looked to see Lazarus the old man giving me a knowing look.

“Um well, my name is Amelia, nice to meet you too Caspian,” I said in reply, realizing that he was waiting for my reply.

“Amelia, such a beautiful name too.” He said and I knew my face was totally red by now. This was the second time he was saying beautiful. And had he looked at himself? he looked much better than me, like some male super model from another world.

“It would warm my old heart if you two would become friends, so Caspian get this young lady`s number.” As Lazarus the old man said this, I could not help but turn and give him an eyebrow raised look. At how he was so obviously trying to hook me up with his handsome and sexy looking grandson.

“Sure,” Caspian replied while giving his grandfather an amused look too.

He handed me his phone, and I put my number and then called mine so I could have his too.

“Done,” I said while handing it back to him.

“I sadly have to go,” I said while looking at my phone as I saw a message from Reed with the address and him asking when I was coming for he was waiting.

“And take good care of your grandfather for me, make sure he eats right and takes his medicine,” I added back to being in Doctor mode, I was still at work. But I still walked over a placed a kiss on his old cheek as goodbye.

“Don’t be a stranger, visit me too okay.” The old man said to me after I did that. I nodded that I would.

“Take care Amelia,” Caspian also said to me with an intense look in those beautiful eyes, as if he did not want me to go.

“Sure, you too,” After saying that I quickly rushed out. I found myself breathless in the elevator with my heart still beating fast as I thought about my encounter with Caspian just now. I even used my hand to fan myself feeling hot and bothered in a good way.

As I left the hospital building, I took off my white coat and was left in my casual clothes. I headed to my car and placed Reed`s address into the GPS.

Once done, I started the journey there. Luckily, he lived nearby around town.

I quickly stopped once I reached this row of apartments. I parked my car in the parking lot and finally reached the right door to Reed`s studio apartment.

“Glad to see you came Amelia,” Reed quickly said after opening the door as soon as he heard my knock.

I gave him a look at the way he was dressed as if he was ready for a date.

“So where is everyone,” I asked after entering the studio and seeing it was empty and with only two plates on the dinner table.

“They all cancelled, work stuff and others sick,” He replied nonchantly and I quickly glared at him just for only a minute.

I now knew that he had lied to me about there being other people. I almost wanted to turn around and leave but with a sigh I did not. This was while looking at all the effort he had put into cooking the food. Which was layered nicely on the table.

“Fine,” I replied and sat on the chair after he pulled it for me.

He then opened a bottle of wine and started pouring it into his glass

I tried to refuse the wine, but he insisted so much that I ended up just letting him pour for me too. I felt awkward, not wanting this to turn into a date for I was really not into him.

I only took a small sip and that was it.

“You know I have liked you ever since I saw you right?” Reed then said after seeing that I had drunk the wine,

“But you keep resisting and rejecting ME!” He then shouted angrily shocking me as his hands slammed on to the table too.

“You are CRAZY. I am LEAVING!” I shouted while quickly getting off the chair and wanting to escape. I should have known that this was a bad idea, coming to his house. But I had trusted him as he was my coworker.

“You are not going anywhere for tonight; I will be taking what I want from you by FORCE!” He then growled, and by now I was scared as he was looking inhumaine. His eyes fiery and animal like too.

As I tried to run and head for the door, he quickly grabbed my hand by force and slammed me painfully against a wall causing me to release a small scream.

As he tried to place his disgusting lips on mine I quickly acted, kicking him right between the legs. As he kneeled to hold them, I quickly pushed him away and ran for the bathroom which was nearby instead. Once inside I locked the door, and put the bolt.

By now my heart was beating rapidly and scared.

I started trying to decide what I could shift into, with my shapeshifting powers so that I could face him head-on if he managed to come inside.

“I spiked your drink, very soon you shall drop down and sleep,” Reed shouted while now slamming menacingly against the door.

And he was right for I started feeling the effects. Losing my energy bit by bit.

I instead quickly took out my phone and dialed the first number on the dial list.

I was scared, I did not want to be raped by Reed!

“Hello,” A deep voice replied.

“Help…me, he wants…to…hurt…me,” I weakly said as I was losing my voice with each minute.

“Amelia, where are you! Tell me where!” Caspian shouted back on the phone, amid all that Reed was still angrily slamming against the door wanting to make it fall and get to me.

“I am at-“ I only managed to say not before my eyes drooped and I dropped unconsciously to the floor right as Reed succeeded in getting in.
