"Being called here was the last thing on my mind" Geran said on entering Kal's quarters looking around with a cool aura around him at all the people already surrounding Kal on all sides.

"The more time passes by, the more I realize that war isn't actually for me," Geran continued talking with a small smile on his face as he dropped into the closest chair he could find in the room, to the shock of the nobles, knights, and councilors gathered in the room.

The fact that they were all gathered there, showed that they had already decided to support Kal, which meant that they all saw him as the future king.

So the fact that Geran, simply entered, and sat down without so much as acknowledging anyone shocked, alarmed, and annoyed them all at the same time.

"It's fine. We've waited long enough. We'll start," Kal said, feeling the silence return to his environment the second he spoke to them.

"The main issue we'll be discussing is how to kill my father," Kal directly said not seeing a reason why

"For me?" He asked in a low but teasing tone, watching Darun instantly scramble for his shirt the next instant without looking back.Darun didn't have to turn around to recognize the voice that tormented him both at night and even during the day."WH…what are you doing back so soon? Weren't you going to a war meeting? Isn't it supposed to go on for a long time?" Darun asked question after question even as he jerked the blanket off the bed and used it to cover himself when he could not easily grab the clothes he had tossed to the other side of the bed in his hurry."Kal can't hold the meeting for too long or it would attract unwanted attention. Moreover, I missed you enough to rush back," Geran replied, smiling at him with a sincere smile on his face, one Darun would have found endearing if he didn't know what usually came next.True to his word, Geran actually did everything he could to make him comfortable and they snuck out many times, both during the day and night, even more, so tha

  • The Vampire Prince and the Werewolf Princess   A Little Impatience

Adequate tension was in the air, in all individual three kingdoms, as no one knew who would be the first to fire the first arrow, and how bad the damage would be.Even the kings held their breath knowing that a wrong move and they would have to battle on two fronts.Still, the first person to show his impatience was King Horansi, who had a little confidence that regardless of what happened, Fera couldn't yet be considered a thorn in his flesh. For this reason, early the next morning, he marched out, the moment the skies were bright enough, with all his men having gotten confirmation the night before from the Kingdom of Elfina, that they would heavily support him.A route had been mapped out for where they would meet before they wouldn't in front of the Blodinek kingdom which was why King Horansi didn't have an iota of fear on his face as he confidently led his army forward.Fera had not only been unable to sleep but had been tightly watching her father's movements from the day before.

But unknown to them, Yoret had not only spoken to all the council members but also the junior council members too going ahead to show them evidence she had recorded of the high council members blurring into a high elf, something has had shocked them to the bone, so much so that all of them stared at the high council members with more attention than usual, something the high council members didn't think was suspicious, especially since they were all about to go to war."Her Highness sends her blessings," Carinte said speaking up after delivering the instructions she needed to,.with a gentle smile and aura on her face.At this point, Yoret who stood beside her couldn't help but wonder how she had been too blind to see the contrast between the Carinte beside her and the one she was actually familiar with.Magic. They probably used magic on us all, Yoret thought, while sending a bland gaze around. She was confident that Tefani was constantly casting mental protection magic on them, even th

Does power really make people this stupid? Geran thought to himself, slightly shaking his head as he did so.Geran said nothing to the king as he sat quietly by his side in his own horse only to suddenly speak going according to the plan he and Kal had arranged, they needed to act and act fast."When you attack King Horansi, I'll attack Kal. You must have noticed that he's amassing supporters," Geran whispered to King Locan in such a low voice that it was almost as if he was merely moving his lips, having picked s time when King Locan looked over at his side.King Locan looked slightly surprised since he hadn't been expecting it and had already given the command for a few of his most trusted knights to attack Kal, ignoring the fact that it was broad daylight and everyone would be able to clearly see what was happening."Do what you want," He responded with a calm and neutral expression on his face, almost like he didn't really care what the outcome was. Still he signaled to his knights

The realer it is, the better, Kal thought to himself knowing that all the people around him had to see Geran use an underhanded trick for him to be truly bested. The fight began and it was almost as fierce as the one happening between the kings as both the werewolves and Vampires around them gave them adequate space, even though everyone couldn't help but wonder why both princesses would pick that moment to fight to the death. It wasn't long before Hurai and Fera also heard the news of the fight, something that slightly worried Hurai but wasn't something she was terrified about, trusting Kal's strength enough to not worry that he would be killed by Geran.A few moments went by, as they both paused with Kal yelling as loud as he could for everyone around to hear."I've allowed this to continue for too long. You might as well die now! Kal yelled, prepared for the final showdown when Geran also brought out a small pouch from his pocket with a huge smirk on his face, staring devilishly at

Yoret was in charge of taking down one of them, while Tefani was in charge of taking down the other. The other two high elves posing as high council women were to be taken down by the remaining council members altogether. With a small dagger under the edge of her sleeve, she moved closer to the one right beside her.“Hey, I just wanted to ask you what exactly we’re going do when one of the kings wins,” she said watching the councilwoman lift her head to look directly at her with a smile on her face.“Oh, it’s simple. The moment one…” but she had barely begun to respond when suddenly felt a sharp pain in her chest only to look down and see a long dagger digging into her chest with blood dripping down the sides of it.“We know who you are…” Yoret said with a blank expression on her face as she went ahead to twist the knife in even deeper than before, with hopes that the high elf in front of her died quickly.“You think you know, but you have no idea…” the high elf who was slowly transfor

“Give up. Even the little rat that you asked for help has abandoned you,” one of them cackled at Yoret watching the look of dismay that appeared on her face when she realized that it was mostly her against them, since almost all the council members were injured. The transformed elf was about to continue speaking as she opened her mouth to continue when she suddenly choked on her own saliva, and continued to do so, coughing heavily like she was about to cough up her lungs.“Wha…what…urge,” she struggled to speak, only for her to begin to seriously clutch at her neck, scratching and clawing but nothing seemed to change as her other elf who still had Caringe’s image on, moved to help her, only for her to also begin to heavily cough, with a look of horror on her face as she watched Tefani appear back in their midst with a huge smirk on his face.“Did you miss me?” He asked turning to look at Yoret who breathed a sigh of relief as they watched the two elves claw heavily at their neck, with

“You don’t trust him?” Fera fired back with a shocked expression on her face.“I just don’t think we should take unnecessary chances that could in any way negatively impact the kingdom,”“If we don’t take this chance, I don’t think there’ll be another,” Fera replied, no longer saying anything regarding the matter, even as Hurai looked at her with an anxious expression on her face that showed she would like to say more, only to also decide to keep quiet.I can't defeat him and even with Hurai's help we still would never defeat him in battle and it's obvious that even with the battle with King Locan, he's still in perfect shape, Fera thought to herself while dipping her hand into her pockets to touch the bottle of wolfsbane she had placed there.I have to get this on him no matter what, Fera decided in her mind as she continued to ride alongside Hurai on their respective horses back to the kingdom.Fera was away that the moment she got back to the Kingdom of Lunera she would have to find

Just because he could no longer transform in the meantime, didn't mean he was completely helpless, even though being in wolf form was more advantageous."Talking about killing me right to my face," Horansi fiercely glared at them all as he spoke."Then you should all continue the conversation in the afterlife,"The moment Horansi was done talking and no longer saw any reason to continue, he gripped his sword as hard as he could and he attacked.Without hesitating or showing a trace of fear on his face. He picked up one of the two swords on the ground and Instantly moved toward Horansi as he attacked.Hurai was still pissed off at Allen's actions of hurting Fera, but she was also thankful for his presence. Without him, both of them would surely have been dead.As quickly as she could, Hurai dressed up Fera's wounds by merely wrapping a piece of cloth around her wounds, which was the best she could do for her at that moment."We can't allow Allen to kill the King," Fera whispered into Hu

Yes, her wolf was almost as big as her father's own but he also had way more experience than her in fighting in wolf form.Hurai also didn't just stay at the side watching the fight, the moment she saw Horansi attack, and the fact that Fera was immediately in danger, she instantly ran to help.Still, Hurai's presence didn't make much of a difference as he easily overpowered the two of them, biting and clawing at them both until their furs were covered in blood. He would have surely continued if he didn't suddenly notice that something was off, which was why he suddenly backed off.Fera’s wolf was a mess. Hurai was also slightly injured, but Fera got the brunt of it.Horansi couldn't outright communicate in his wolf form using words but when he growled at them as loudly as he could with a vicious sneer, Fera knew he already noticed what she had used on him."Wolf's bane," Horansi thought, getting more furious with each second that passed, as he felt his connection to his wolf slightly w

Kal expression instantly changed to a largely pissed-off one, as he finally realized what the burning spin he felt in his shoulder meant.Losing his arm wasn't a big deal and he felt that as long as he drank enough blood, he would be able to regrow it, only to find out that because of Locan's actions he would never be able to.Still deeply angered in his heart, but with a mildly calm expression on his face, Kal slowly walked forward coming to a stop right in front of Locan, gripping Locan's sword in his hand."Don't worry, I'm sure…" Locan began talking, but even before he was halfway done, Kal moved his hand, slashing his head cleanly off his neck in one big movement, watching him plop heavily the ground as his blood littered the floor. The silence in the room was palpable. Geran would have made one of his many jokes, but he knew that the atmosphere wasn't right for it, especially since the king just died, and the new king, was truly going to be a one-armed one.Geran could only sigh

"Clang…" their swords met again and Kal couldn't help but grit his teeth in pain and alarm, shocked and trying to comprehend where King Locsn got the strength he had suddenly used on him."You look surprised," King Locan said with a big smirk on his face as he instantly attacked Kal with the same strength as the one he used before, not surprised to see Kal barely defend it as his sword arm got a deep dash for his incompetence.Watching on the sidelines, even Geran was shocked since he couldn't understand what was suddenly happening to Kal, who suddenly seemed much weaker than King Locan compared to before."Swish…swish…slash," Blood splintered out of the gaping hole in Kal's left arm where it was supposed to be, with King Locan making a show of wiping his face that had been coated with elven blood on his sword with relish."I'm going to enjoy watching you die," Locan said to Kal with a big smile on his face, digging his hands into his shirt and bringing out the necklace underneath it,

King Locan yelled in anger shocked at the stickiness of whatever was on his face, only managing to wipe off enough of the burning substance from his face in a way that wouldn't obstruct his vision as he quickly looked around to see his attacker, confident that Geran who he had been on the verge of killing couldn't have been the one by attacking him in such a manner."WHO IS IT?" A few seconds of silence passed by, when King Locan finally noticed Geran's strange manner of not responding to any of what he said."What's…." He opened his mouth to speak, while lifting his head up from what he had been staring at on the table when he suddenly saw a dagger flying straight at him, aimed at his head."That counts as an attack right," Geran thought to himself, even as he watched King Locan fly into a rage the next moment. He pushed his table aside, and grabbed his sword beside him with lightning speed as he glared heavily at Geran with eyes that showed their intention to kill."You attacked me…" King Locan stated in a calm and reserved manner, one Geran was sure was simply a mask for the boiling anger he currently felt as he slid his sword out of its sheathe.Geran said nothing and simply counted down the seconds to when Kal was supposed to appear, even as he gripped his sword tightly in his arm, while giving King Locan his entire attention, knowing that a simple mistak

You know it has to belong to at least a high elf right and they hide like their lives depend on it," Geran said to Kal, even as he continued to stare at him with a disbelieving expression on his face."Show me…""Really?" Kal asked with both his eyebrows raised, clearly surprised at Geran's requests especially since the elven blood was deadly to vampires even on sight."At least tell me how you got it," Geran said with a clearly dissatisfied expression on his face."Let's just say that the kingdom of Elfina has a slight Elven trouble," Kal instantly replied, before making it known that he no longer wanted to discuss it, as he went ahead to move the topic of discussion somewhere else."We need to do it as soon as
