Chapter 35 : Second Chances

Hearing birds chirping outside her window with rays of sunlight almost blinding her eyes made Rosa awake. She looks up, blinking a couple of times to make sure her vision was clear. She felt heaviness when she tries to open her eyes wider and her hands were achy. She got up, sagging her shoulder as she leans back on the bedpost. Her eyes were looking around the room which looks pristine with nothing out of place. Something made her turn her gaze to her bedroom door and it was also in a good condition.

She frowns. She didn’t know why she has so many questions about the place she was in. So far, she knows that she was kidnapped and brought to Vadim’s mansion.

Finally, it hits her.

The wrist she was gently caressing since she had woken up was covered with bruised. Dark almost purple mark circled her wrist. It didn’t hurt anymore but she still remember the sensation of being held roughly and forcefully.

Tears prick her eyes and she became extremely upset.
