“What do you need to apologize for?” The shock in Lawler’s voice makes me laugh. “I shouldn’t have said what I did. Or maybe I should have, with a different tone. It wasn’t very polite of me to drop all of that on the three of you. You are all trying to help me learn everything that I need to know. I just feel bad that I said it the way that I did. I could have used a bit more tact.”
Apologizing was easy enough for me. I am used to saying sorry to something that I shouldn’t need to apologize for, a gift given from a crap marriage.
