Chapter 125: Irene

Isabel rang the doorbell to Ezekiel's home. Wasn't it pitiful? He had been trying so hard to get her to open her heart to him and just when she decided to do just that, he shut down. She wouldn't let herself be used in such a manner.

The front door opened slowly.

"Hey," she greeted, smiling foolishly. All the scolding she planned vanished from her head.

He smiled cutely, "you must be cold. Come in."

She raised a brow but followed him in.

"Are you kidding me?" She blurted out to his blushing face when she saw his living room. It was all a mess.

"I have not really been... well, you know..." he stuttered, looking anywhere but at her.

"You would have just asked," she scoffed, eyeing him up, "with my case being taken up, I don't think I'll end up paying any compensation which means I won't need your help any longer but that doesn't mean, I won't be a friend. After all, I was the one who caused this. Why have you been avoiding me?"

He blinked and turned away from her.

"Ezekiel," she called
