Much more confused

The more Xylah walked, the more lost and confused she became. Everything looked the same as she walked,hiding whenever she heard a sound and running again when the coast was clear. There wasn't much to hide from though, as this part of the palace was extremely empty — quiet and dark.

What sort of place was this quiet? It seemed abnormal. Were they really planning to kill her or something? Otherwise, why would she be brought to such a place?

The thought of it made her shudder. She needed to escape this place at all costs, but how? Xylah sighed and stopped to catch her breath.
