Olivia's pov

“We can't trust him to be left alone with her.” Allen's voice became louder and more desperate as Victor, Alexander, and Allen spoke about what needed to be done to keep me healthy. “This was a peaceful kingdom before he came along.”

I could feel the tension in the room as Allen voiced her concerns about Alexander being near me. I knew he was just trying to protect me like he has always done.

Victor tried to calm Allen down, reminding him that Alexander being close to me was only temporary and as soon as they could work out what was wrong and how to stop my pain.

I could sense Alexander's frustration as he stood silently, his jaw clenched tight. I reached out for his hand, needing the comfort of his touch to soothe my aching head.

I watched as Allen paced back and forth, his fists clenched in frustration. Victor stood up from his chair and placed a calming hand on Allen's shoulder.

"Listen, I understand your concerns," Victor said soothingly. "But we have to trust Alexan

The only thing that has helped with my pain has been being close to Alexander. As much as I hate it, I am thankful to him for staying by my side all the time. We walked through the palace halls, Alexander walking a few steps behind me as we made our way to the front of the palace, where Victor and the others were waiting for us so we could go to the funeral for the murdered maid. Victor had told me that he didn't think it was a good idea for me to go, but I had convinced him that it would be worse if I didn't. As we approach the spot where I was attacked, a sudden scent hits my nose. Rosemary. I stopped dead in my tracks, and I closed my eyes, letting my mind go back to that day.I heard footsteps approaching from behind, and Aura growled, telling me she sensed danger. I turn around just as someone lunges at me. I fight back with all I have. Something falls to the ground, making my attacker try to grab whatever it is as they do. I reach for the mask that they are wearing to rip it f

Olivia's POVAll the pack members had come to the funeral to pay their respects. We took our seats at the front of the ceremony. As the service continued, I started to feel a wave of dizziness wash over me. I tried to ignore it at first, but it only grew worse as time went on. Alexander must have noticed my discomfort because he leaned in and whispered, "Are you feeling okay, Fay?"I shook my head slightly, trying to brush off his concern. "I'm fine," I murmured back, forcing a weak smile. I didn't want the poor maid's funeral to be turned into something about me, even if she did have something to do with the attempted poisoning of Lidia. Something told me that there was something more to it.But as the dizziness continued to get worse, I knew I needed to get out of there and get some fresh air. I stood up, causing a few heads to turn in my direction. Alexander quickly followed suit and guided me outside. As we stepped out of the building, the cool night air hit me like a refreshing w

I stepped down from the carriage, rushing towards the man, ignoring Alexander's calls from behind me. "Move! Get out of the way!" I shouted at the pack members blocking my path, pushing past them with determination. I could feel Alexander's presence behind me, trying to catch up and stop me, but I couldn't let anything stand in my way of helping this man.As I knelt down next to him, I could see the fear and pain in his eyes. His breathing was laboured, and his hands were trembling. I reached out a hand to gently touch his shoulder, offering what little comfort I could in that moment."Stay with me," I whispered softly, trying to reassure him.Victor's voice echoed through the town centre. "Fay, what are you doing?"I glanced over my shoulder briefly, meeting Alexander's worried eyes, before turning my attention back to the man in front of me. "He needs help," I said simply, my focus unwavering. With gentle hands, I inspected the wound on his head, assessing the severity of his injuri

Alexander's POVI followed behind Fay, something I had gotten used to doing lately, as we made our way to her room. She was tense, her body language rigid as she walked ahead of me. When we reached her room, she didn't even spare me a glance before storming off into the bathroom and slamming the door behind her. I understood why she was mad because what Victor had said to her was out of line, but he also made a point that she shouldn't have rushed off to help that man like she did. A smile played on my lips as I thought back to how amazing she was today helping that man. It reminded me so much of something Olivia would have done.I stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do next. Eventually, curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to take in my surroundings. Fay's room was cosy and inviting, with soft colours and warm lighting. It was strange how much she reminded me of Olivia. Even the scent in her room reminded me of her.I wandered over to her bed and sat down, running a

Olivia's povI stayed in my room, not wanting to go out and face anyone, my head throbbing with pain, but I did my best to ignore it because I didn't want to be around Alexander. But as I was reading a book about healing, trying to distract myself from the chaos going on inside my head, there was a knock on my door.I hesitated for a moment before getting up to answer it, not wanting to see who it was. But when I opened the door, I saw one of the pack guards standing there, his expression grave. Behind him, leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed, was Alexander."What is it?" I asked the guard, trying to keep my voice steady. The guard cleared his throat nervously before speaking. "Princess Fay, it's Alpha Victor. He was injured when rogues came onto our land."My heart clenched at the news of my brother being hurt. Panic surged through me. “Take me to him”, I ordered. The guard nodded and motioned for me to follow him. I didn't spare a glance at Alexander as I hurried out

Alexanders povStanding back in the village, I watched as Fay greeted everyone with a smile, her kind eyes showing genuine concern for each pack member. They all thanked her profusely for helping the man the other day, and she took her time listening to their worries and offering comforting words. It reminded me so much of how Olivia used to be as my Luna.As I observed from a distance, Fay made her way over to me with a strawberry in hand. She popped it into her mouth and let out a contented sigh before saying, "God, these strawberries are the best I have ever eaten. And I've eaten a lot of them because they're my favourite."I couldn't help but smile at her. She always found pleasure in the simple things. My wolf nudged at me in my mind, reminding me that Olivia's favourite fruit had always been strawberries. As we walked along the street, I couldn't shake the feeling that Fay and Olivia were so similar in their love for strawberries. It was uncanny.Suddenly, a pack member came rus

Olivia POVI stood there looking at the man sitting in front of us, my heart pounding with feral, but before I could do anything, the guards came rushing around the corner. "Princess Fay, are you okay?" one of them asked me. I nodded my head, just watching them as they grabbed the man and dragged him away.We rushed back to the palace. Not wanting to waste any time, I wanted answers from this man for many reasons. It wasn't just the smell of rosemary that made me think he was the person that attacked me. It was also his voice. I remembered his voice from the night I escaped death. As we entered the palace, Allen rushed to my side and asked me if I was okay. I assured him that I was fine, but he turned to Alexander with anger radiating from his every pore."Are you behind all of this?" Allen growled at Alexander, his eyes blazing with fury.Alexander's expression softened as he shook his head in disbelief. "No, Allen. I had no idea that one of my guards was here in the kingdom. I demanded, my voice filled with anger and frustration. The guard's eyes widened in terror as he spoke, "Please, Alpha, have mercy. I-I was just following orders.""Whose orders?" I growled, leaning closer to the guard. "Who sent you here?"The guard swallowed nervously before finally speaking up. "Please, if I tell you, they will kill my whole family".I scoffed at his weak attempt to plead for mercy. "Do you think I care about your family? You have one last chance to tell me the truth, or I swear, what I will do to you will be worse than anything anyone else could ever do."The guard's eyes filled with tears as he begged, "Please, Alpha, have mercy on me."I clenched my jaw in frustration and turned around to see Fay standing behind me. Olivia's POVA month had passed since Reed’s death, and today was a day of celebration, joy, and new beginnings. I sat in front of Lidia, watching as she gazed at herself in the mirror. She was breathtaking, wearing a beautiful white dress that made her look like a vision of grace. The dress shimmered in the light, the delicate lace and satin fitting her perfectly, reflecting every bit of joy she held within. Her eyes sparkled with excitement, but there was a certain peace about her now, a calm that I hadn’t seen before."You’re beautiful," I said, my voice full of pride and affection as I took in the sight of her. "Are you ready?"Lidia turned to me, her smile wide. "I was ready for this day years ago."Her words hit me right in the heart. Lidia had been through so much, yet here she was, standing on the verge of her greatest happiness. My heart swelled with joy for her.The music began to play softly, a sweet melody that filled the room. The carriage doors opened, and the twins were

The long night of searching had yielded nothing—no sign of Reed, no trail to follow. My muscles ached, exhaustion creeping into every inch of my body, but the rage inside me burned hotter than ever. He had gotten away again. It felt like I would never catch him. I could feel the frustration tightening in my chest, my teeth grinding together in a low growl. As I stepped through the gates, Olivia came rushing toward me, her face full of concern. Her eyes were wide, but there was a calm in her that I couldn’t quite understand. When she reached me, I didn’t have time for pleasantries. The anger inside me needed an outlet.“He got away again,” I snarled, my voice low and heavy with frustration. "I couldn’t find him. I searched every inch of the kingdom."She reached out to me, her hands gently cupping my face, grounding me with her touch. The softness of her skin against my face

  • The Unwanted Sister's Alpha King    Chapter 375

Olivia's POVThe kingdom felt eerily quiet as I stood guard over it. Alexander and the others had gone after Reed, and it was my job to make sure the kingdom remained safe in their absence. The night stretched on, filled with an unsettling stillness, but I knew I had to stay strong. The twins were my priority now.I made my way up to their room. My footsteps light on the stone floor. I could hear the soft murmur of voices as I approached the door. When I pushed it open, Ethan held his finger up to his lips, signalling for me to be quiet. I nodded, my gaze drifting toward the twins, peacefully sleeping in their bed.The sight of them, their little faces serene in the moonlight, brought a sense of calm over me. But my eyes didn’t stay on them for long. I turned my attention to Lidia, who was sitting on the edge of the bed, her hand resting lightly on one of the twins. And then, I saw it—the ring on her finger. A rush of happiness filled me, and it took every ounce of restraint not to sc

Reed’s POVMy heart was a frantic drumbeat in my chest, each desperate breath pushing me further into the abyss of terror. I couldn't outrun this. I couldn’t escape whatever hunted me in this cursed forest. The air was thick with an overwhelming presence as if I were being suffocated and cornered by some unseen beast.Every noise around me felt amplified, every shadow threatening to swallow me whole. The dry leaves scattered on the forest floor crunched louder than they should have, and every snap of a twig seemed like a warning. I dragged myself forward, my one good leg buckling with every movement, my body weak, exhausted, and broken. The growl echoed through the trees again, sending waves of ice through my veins. My mind raced, trying to make sense of the madness around me, but my thoughts were jumbled, a mix of dread and confusion. The cold air cut through me like a blade, making it harder to breathe. There was no escape from this thing. Then, the voice came again—soft at first, a

Reed’s POVRage filled my body as I rode through the dark, the stolen horse galloping hard beneath me. Nearly losing my balance with every stride, but it didn’t matter. I couldn’t stop. I had to get away, had to get out of this cursed kingdom before they could find me. If I hadn’t been crippled, if I had both of my legs, I would have succeeded. I would have gotten close to the twins while everyone else celebrated their false victory. But now... now I was weak. And that weakness had cost me everything.I gritted my teeth and pushed the horse harder, the wind whipping past my face, the trees rushing by. I knew they would be coming after me soon. Alexander, that damn Alpha, would never let this go. He would hunt me down, and in my weakened state, there was no way I could protect myself.I could feel the panic rising in my chest as I rode deeper into the forest. Ethan's POVI rushed the twins to their room, heart pounding in my chest. Protecting them was the most important job right now. I had to make sure they were safe, but every instinct inside me wanted to be out there with my Alpha, hunting Reed down. I couldn’t stand the thought of him being out there, a threat to everything we had fought for.But for now, the twins were my responsibility. As they sat on the floor, playing with their toys, I glanced at Lidia, who was sitting next to them. She was watching them intently, but I could see it in her eyes—the worry. She was trying to hide it, but it was impossible to mask. She was strong, stronger than anyone had ever given her credit for, but I could feel the unease radiating off of her.She looked over at me, and for a moment, everything else faded away. Her beauty overwhelmed me. In that instant, I realised just how much I had come to love her. How had I not seen it sooner? The nervousness I had felt before, the uncertainty about asking h
