Alex

I leaned against the wall,my entire focus on my brother. Every time his fist met the concrete,I flinched. Blood stains were visible on his knuckles.

The door to the top floor opened.

"How long has he been on it?" Mesta asked his eyes fixed on Mecael.

I lifted my shirt and looked at my watch. "Forty two minutes. Make that forty three."

She sighed deeply. "Twenty seven more.'

I exhaled. Both of us knew better than to try and stop him.

One hour. One hour breakdown for him to come back to earth and function well.

Mesta stepped closer to me. I gave her a frown.

"We need to talk." Her voice gave nothing away and that was worse than holding anger.

"Now?" I squeaked because the thought of having any kind of talk always had a way of freaking me out.

"It won't take long." She held my hand and looked at the watch. "We have enough time."

I swallowed. "Um…a lot has happened since we…" I cleared my throat. "I don't think this is a good time. Let's talk after two…year?"
