Three weeks ago...
"Serena! Serenaaaa!" the girl in a red dress started to scream from across the room, forcing Serena to look at her.
"Oh great, here comes Becky," she scoffed.
"You are so mean. She is not that bad!" her cousin Ariana remarked.
"She can talk non stop. The other day I put my phone on the bed and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water in the middle of our conversation. And when I came back, she was still talking!" Serena exclaimed. Ariana's twin sister Ally laughed out loud then stopped as Becky was getting closer.
Serena loved Ariana and Ally like they were her own sisters. Being the only child, it was hard not to get lonely but they filled the void beautifully.
They have been inseparable since they were children. They might as well be triplets.
All three of them were gorgeous. Ariana and Ally with their long brown hair and deep brown eyes and slender bodies and Serena with her head full of long and wavy blonde hair and pale green eyes which she inherited from her mother. They turned heads everywhere they went. Although no one dared approach them as they were surrounded by bodyguards dressed in black suits, courtesy of Serena's father Alexander Wolf. No matter how many times she begged him not to have his men follow her around, he still insisted on sending them.
"Should we sneak out the back door?" Serena said lazily as she watched Becky push her way through the crowd.
"Be nice," Ally scolded her.
But Serena didn't want to. Being nice wasn't her forte. She was known as a cold bitch throughout high school and college but she didn't give a flying fuck about it.
"I made it!" Becky chirped.
"So you did," Serena said and looked at her with a bored expression. Serena didn't like Becky at all. She found her loud and annoying but she was Ally and Ariana's friend so she was willing to tolerate her.
"I want to dance," Serena announced.
"Me too!" Becky said excitedly.
"Who should I dance with?" Serena looked at Ariana and smirked. They played this game where they'd pick out a random guy at the club for each other. To dance and eventually something more.
Ariana looked around the club. There were plenty of guys to choose from. Some of them weren't half bad. Her wandering eyes stopped when she spotted a man sitting at the bar. He looked like he was about their age with shoulder-length black hair. She couldn't see his face clearly as the VIP lounge was a bit far from the bar but he looked interesting.
"How about that one right there?" she pointed at him and looked at Serena.
Serena followed Ariana's finger and looked at the man who was leisurely sipping on his drink, talking to no one. A loner huh?
"Good choice. I am a sucker for guys with long black hair," she grinned.
"Yes we know," Ally and Ariana said at the same time and giggled.
"Bye ladies. This could be his lucky night tonight," Serena remarked seductively and headed towards him.
"Or unlucky," Ally smirked. "I already feel bad for the guy. I hope she goes easy on him," she said, making Ariana and Becky laugh.
Serena stood next to the man and observed him intently. He was well built with a strong, defined jaw and a pair of piercing grey eyes that complemented his tanned skin. Just her type. Ariana chose well, she thought.
"Hey," she said quietly.
Noah Smith looked up as he heard a melodious voice and found himself staring at a gorgeous blonde that stood in front of him. She was wearing a silver mini sequined dress with lacy high heels. Normally he didn't like women who dressed this flashy but the dress complimented her figure perfectly as she had curves in all the right places. But why was she talking to him?
"Hey," he said and looked at her questioningly. Was she lost and needed his help for some reason?
"I am Serena and you are?" she asked.
"Noah," he said.
"Would you like to dance with me?" she walked closer and gave me a sultry smile.
Wait...she is asking me to dance with her? he thought to himself. He couldn't believe his luck.
"You want to dance with me? But why?" he asked.
"I want to dance with you and I don't need to give you an explanation as to why," she said. Her tone sounded demanding which turned him on a little.
Noah wasn't much of a dancer. But even so, he couldn't refuse the woman in front of him. She had a certain allure about her and it wasn't just because she was beautiful. Her dark and mysterious demeanor was what attracted him the most. And those sparkling green eyes were so intense that he couldn't take his eyes off of them. There was no way he could refuse her. Not after what he had been through tonight.
"I would love to," he smiled and took her hand.
Serena smiled when she heard Noah's racing heart as she pressed against him. She loved the effect she had on men. They can be quite pathetic sometimes. But Noah kept his composure, for the most part, his eyes fixated on hers. Her eyes, not her body. A true gentleman, she thought."You are very beautiful," he chuckled nervously as he attempted a conversation. "But I'm sure you heard that million times before," he said.
Serena made an impulsive decision, inviting this stranger into a hotel room.Mom would be disappointed, she thought, and grinned as she pushed Noah against the wall and ripped his shirt open.Oh...
Back to the present..."Um...sir?" Noah raised his hand in a true college student fashion. "I think there has been a mistake. Did you say I was engaged? I don't remember proposing." he let out a nervous chuckle."There's no mistake, you heard me. You are marrying my daughter Serena and that's final," Alex said grimly.
"Don't bother calling the police. The rumors you heard about me are all true," Alex's cold blue eyes pierced through Noah's heart."If I hear that you said anything to anyone, everyone you love will slowly disappear, one by one," he added.Noah gulped and nodded. He had no intention of calling the police. It didn't take a genius to know that this man was not joking.
"Hey baby," Kelly smiled brightly and gave Noah a small peck. She had been waiting by the door for a while now. What took him so long?"Hey," Noah smiled nervously."Are you okay? Why do you look all nervous?" Kelly asked. She looked at him curiously.
Saoirse observed her daughter quietly. Serena was sitting on the table quietly and playing with her food."Are you okay sweetie?" she asked."Huh? Oh yeah...I'm fine," Serena said and chewed on the fork absentmindedly.Saoirse didn't believ
"WHAT!" Kelly screamed. "Are you out of your mind?""Shh...do you want your parents to hear us?" Noah warned her."Maybe they should hear this because you are being ridiculous," Kelly said. She was fuming."You don't understand Kelly, this
Serena tried to stifle her giggles as she watched her dad staring at Noah, practically glaring. Leave it to him for stressing Noah out even more.Saoirse sat in front of them, smiling as if it was just a pleasant family dinner. They were sitting at the dinner table while planning the wedding. Well...not so much planning as it was mostly her dad telling Noah what to do so he doesn't end his life. And Noah of course talked back t
3 and a half years later..."Logan, for fuck's sake, slow down!" Serena cried out as Logan continued to terrorize both Noah and her at his birthday party. "Go get him! He is getting cake all over his new shirt!" She looked at Noah.Serena was four months pregnant with their daughter Mia, so she had no patience to deal with this cute little demon child of hers.
This time, it wasn't a big wedding. Serena and Noah had a small, private ceremony on the island alongside both of their parents. After it was over, they all decided to have lunch together."I guess we are in-laws for the second time," Ares said and smirked. Alex didn't scowl at him this time."And soon we are going to be grandfathers, so you better get your shit together, you psychotic killer," Alex declared.
Noah stayed glued to her side the entire party. Serena tried to push him away and urged him to mingle somewhere else, but he insisted on staying with her. His hand holding hers tightly."I don't feel safe with you walking around at this party by yourself. What if someone kidnaps you? Or worse, flirts with you!" he said."How is flirting with me worse than kidnapping?" Serena said irritably.
"Is that right?" Melody challenged Noah.As if she had a chance, Noah thought. He would never let some random chick take Serena away from him. She was carrying his child, for god's sake."What do you think?" Noah asked firmly.Serena cleare
"You can't go see her. She could be dangerous," Noah said."Don't be silly. You know who I am. Do you really think she can do anything to me?" Serena scoffed."I get it, but still," Noah said."Awe! You're worried about me. How sweet," she
"What do you mean no rough sex for the first few weeks?" Noah glared at the woman in front of him."I mean, the first two trimesters are an extremely crucial stage of the pregnancy, so be extra careful," the gynecologist said. "In fact, I recommend not having sex for the first two weeks.""I OBJECT!" Noah declared.
At dinner, Serena felt her father's piercing blue eyes boring into her soul. Why was he looking at her so intensely?"Why are you looking at me like that, dad?" she asked. She couldn't take it anymore."If there's something you need to tell me, you need to say it. You know I don't like secrets.
Alex decided to arrange another dinner with the family. He knew he had to tread carefully when he has to confront Serena about Shane. Serena was emotional and stubborn. If he asked her the wrong questions at the wrong time, she would shut herself off and won't speak to him again. He knew his daughter all too well."Are you sure she had anything to do with Shane's disappearance? What if you are wrong? What if it makes her mad that you suspect her?" Saoirse asked. She was concerned about her daughter's well being. She had a feel
"Excuse me, what? I think I misheard you. Did you just say you were pregnant?" Noah turned the shower off and looked at her with shock."You heard it correctly. I took four tests, and they were all positive," Serena said."How is that possible? Aren't you taking birth control?" Noah demanded to know.
