Chapter 19

Finn took a deep breath and began to explain things slowly.

"I have a friend. Five years ago, he made a horrible mistake—the kind that no one on earth should commit. However, he had his reasons. He was poisoned and could not control himself. That was how he ended up doing something he regretted for life.

"He left Draconia after that, but he had no idea he had hurt the woman who helped him. He focused on building his career and finally made a name for himself. During this time, he kept searching for that woman. He wanted to repay her, but he came up with nothing after searching for five years.

"It was only recently that he found out that she had returned to Creek Valley. He felt that it was time to repay his debt to her. That was also when he found out that he had a daughter. Which is why he wants…"

Finn told this story from a third party's point of view, but the more he talked about it, the guiltier he felt. He got emotional and had flashes of tears in his eyes.
