Dimitri ate in silence. Though the food was delicious, he couldn’t enjoy it. His mind was in turmoil. Several questions bombarded his brain which vanquished the little hunger he had for food. He mulled over the events that led to this day.

Giselle would understand her son’s choice. Their parents loved each other to this day and their romance was something both Giselle and Dimitri envied. They wanted something like that for themselves, but Giselle ended up with Antonio.

The siblings could do nothing to stop the arranged mating. He still remembered the day their mating was arranged. The war had done so much damage to their Kingdom and many Elves went into hiding. Elves were stronger and had good combat skills. However, their chances were slim against the combined forces of the Vampires and witches.

The magic of Elves was entwined with nature and they used it only for good. The damage they could do to their enemies was much less when compared to the dar

“Dimitri…” his sister sighed in relief when she saw his face.“Did you find them?” She whispered and Dimitri believed his sister well knew of the girl Lucian was with.“You knew, didn’t you?” He questioned with a slight anger lacing his voice. They have spoken almost every day, and she did not even mention a word about this except for saying Lucian was protected by an unknown magic.“I am sorry, brother. I wasn’t sure. I had a doubt when I lost the bond with Lucian on his sixteenth birthday, and then I didn’t want Antonio to find out. You know how he is.” His sister sighed.“What is she? I witnessed and felt so much power radiating from her and she could read my mind clear as day,” Dimitri asked narrowing his eyes at his sister. He was sure that Giselle knew more about the girl. Mirunalini had the gift of vision and she could see anything through that cauldron she keeps i

A hooded figure limped through the dark forest weaving its way through the thick vegetation. The dark robe it wore looked tattered and swept the forest floor disgracefully. The small animals scurried fast into their safe haven as it walked past them. The figure huffed and puffed as it climbed the slope, which leads to a hidden cave. The cave entrance was hidden from any mortal or immortal eyes by magic, fallen rocks and tree vines covering the entire rocky base. It produced a crooked stick from underneath its robe and drew a symbol in the air as its lips chanted an inaudible ancient spell. The symbol lit up like fire depicting a crooked version of ‘P’ and there appeared an entrance which was dark just like its heart. It sauntered inside the cave as had done this for a million times before. Its vision or posture not wavering once as it advanced the cave further.Multiple tunnels branched two different directions and one wrong step could lead to the in

The Lycan’s castle was deathly calm except for the roar of the raging beast. The throne room was destroyed with splinters of wood littering the red carpeted floor. The once elegant throne room now looked like it was swallowed and spat out by a tornado.King Antonio sat on the half-destroyed throne in his beast form, his chest rumbling violently and his eyes challenging anyone who dare cross the threshold. Giselle perched on the floor shaking like a leaf, her head bowed with eyes cast down. Raymond knelt down with his neck in submission.“Bee-tt—aa, w-wee-e go-o to-o Loo-ci-an. Kee-ll i-ss maa-te,” Antonio’s beast growled.Raymond gave a curt nod in agreement and left the throne room with a determined look. Raymond couldn’t believe what he was witnessing. Humans were weird. He had earlier heard few guards talking about the human realm in the castle. His eyes followed their every move. While the Lycans stood with extreme tension this side, on the other side Alexa and her human family sat comfortably on the picnic chairs. The boys had brought something in big bowls, inside was white sand rock kind of things found on the shore side of Qlors Slopes back in the supernatural realm. Raymond wondered if they were eating sand rocks. He frowned when Quentin excitedly picked up a hand full off those white things and put it in his mouth chewing it noisily. The humans should cower at the sight of a deadly beast, especially someone like Antonio. Instead, they sat as if they were waiting to watch an entertainment. None showed even a hint of fear. Raymond had sniffed the air several times still nothing. As expected, Giselle had embraced her son the moment Mirunalini drew the

Lucian gazed at the oncoming attack with no interest in indulging with him. He was tired of these Lycans who dare show up at his home and their constant need for showing power only annoyed him. Their aggression may work well in their Kingdom, but this right here was his territory and he would never tolerate someone who triedto rip the peaceful life he had here.He did not shift as he couldn’t risk hurting his father, even by accident. Lucianwanted to show him that his son was not weaker like he thought. He could choose his own mate. The love he developed for Alexa was not forced by anyone. He doesn’t remember when exactly that happened.Maybe it happened when he first met her, or maybe when she stood up for him, or because she was always there for him when he was ugly and unworthy. Her emotions for him never changed, not when he was that thin skinny boy, or not when he filled out and became stronger, or not when he changed into a terrifying beas

Gretchen Wraith, the most feared witch in the supernatural realm watched the fight between Lucian and his father with a malicious glint on her face. The dark cauldron bubbled with a popping sound now and then, letting out dark smokes which swirled around her.She appeared more vicious than ever. The attack on the fire demon was unexpected. The knowledge of a Qistina being already mated to Lucian did not bode well for her. The reason she couldn’t find Lucian all this time became clear. He was being protected by a Qistina all this time and she had claimed him for herself. Her heart, soul, and body already belonged to Lucian. No wonder his beast was so strong when compared to that of his father or any Lycan. She must have an alternative plan. Giselle stared at the ceiling as she lay on the fur-covered cave ground. Sorrow and pain weighed down on her. The severed bond throbbed painfully. She still loved Antonio, no matter how cold he was towards her. They had their sweet moments though they both disagreed on several matters. For one, Giselle was against the Lycan’s law of separating the children from their parents at such young age. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t change his viewpoint that matter. She was forced to watch the mothers being detached from their beloved children. When Lucian fought for his mate and won, she believed Antonio would accept his son’s decision and she was wrong. He went behind her back and severed their bond, sending Lucian to a dream filled sleep. There was no telling what awaits their son when he wakes up from the severed bond with no memory of his mate.Giselle thought Antonio was changing.
