I held my breath as I walked back to my friends, away from Cameron's mom's scrutinizing gaze. When someone doesn't like you, it's as clear as day, especially for someone like me who can read people.

Maybe she could tell I was a witch. Even now, as I stood with Mia, I could still see Cameron's mother's distaste for me written all over her face.

And it stung.
