Chapter 5679

As she spoke, Heather passed Ambrose a cup of tea.

Ambrose took it from her, taking a deep breath. "Veron treated you awfully, and almost got the both of us killed, Heather. Are you really still trying to speak up for her?"

Heather let out a soft sigh in response. "I know you're still angry over what she did, but nobody's perfect, right? Who doesn't make mistakes? Besides, she only did all of that because she liked you so much."

Heather sat next to Ambrose, putting her hands below her chin to gaze out of the window. "My parents taught me from a young age to try to see the best in people, and have a generous heart. That's the easiest way for someone to be happy."

Ambrose fell into thought at the words briefly, flashing a pained smile. "You're far too kind for your own good, Heather. Alright, I'll let the past go."

"Wonderful!"

Seeing as he was finally calming down, Heather was nothing but joyous as she beamed, "That's my Brother Ambrose."
