"Why didn't you come sooner!" A youth shouted at Alexis who was taken aback. His body was only barely smaller than hers and those familiar red eyes that she couldn't place anywhere unsettled her.
"What do you mean?" Her voice seemed to echo in the strange place she was in. It wasn't a room, but a space her brain had made for this dream.
The youth didn't hear her at all and continued to glare at her until his eyes glistened and his face dropped slowly to his fisted hands.
"You already sorted out all the work places and scholarships?" Alexis' brows rose well beyond her forehead as she stared at Agathus in shock. "But, why? Aren't you busy?"She full well knew that the amount of work she had to do would take at least half a day and waiting on letters of admissions would leave a longer waiting time. She shuddered at the thought.Agathus gave a smile, one that for once, wasn't tired or bothered looking. He looked... happy.
When Alexis next woke up she couldn't see anything. But a nasty musty smell met her nose, and she crinkled it as she looked around. She was on a cold stone ground, it was chilly and the sounds of a draft travelling through pipes rumbled all around her.Her eyes adjusted to her surroundings eventually and she realised there was a very faint light above her. Thanks to the light she could make out the iron gates surrounding her and behind her where there was a stone wall. But nothing el
"What's this I hear about Alexis being in the dungeons?" Hector spoke as he burst into Alastair's office with an angry expression.Alastair who had been grimly looking through documents lifted his head with a glare, it wasn't as bad as his one before, in fact, this one was slightly guilty."She broke our contract". He icily replied.
"Hector, can't you teach me some actual magic now? Haven't I meditated enough!" Alexis gave out a exasperated outburst as she flopped back onto the comfy grass. The sun beamed on her face, and despite the sunshine, rainbows and kittens, she wasn't at all in a good mood."Not until you can control your magic, I heard the prince slapped himself across the face, twice might I add, because of you and if that doesn't show much proof I don't know what will", he had a strong argument so Alexis didn't counter it, instead she chortled as she remembered the princes dumb face.
Alexis felt her heart palpitations quicken as they neared the dinner room. She was walking alongside Dwayne hoping to maybe rush away at any chance, but whenever she thought to, she recalled Hectors glare and held back. They came to the room and the two soldiers who stood at the doors gave her a familiar glance. They didn't stop her this time. They just politely opened the door and she and Dwayne stepped into the strained atmosphere. There was the old pervert, the fancy old lady, the
Daron grit his teeth, a prominent glare on his face. So sharp Lilianna, the first queen, was reminded of him in his younger days, when he was much crueller and still as shallow. She knew the expression well, as it was his face when his pride was injured and that happened so many times to the extremely prideful man. She had once tried to count, but that ended up in him having the same expression when he found out and as a result married the second queen, Elizabeth. He stopped walking
"What? You want me to kiss you?" He asked breaking off her train of thought with a sneer and she frowned in return."Of course not, i was just wonder"-"And yet your cheeks are so red", he scoffed at her and her temper ticked."No- that's because I was surprised. I'd never want to kiss you!" She felt a strange offe
Joshua was smart enough to know what the emperor was playing at. And so he smiled, mischievously."I see. Then let me refresh your memory with Miss Mage", that did it."No!- ahem, we needn't get dirt involved in this", Alastair replied, forcing himself to calm down and not get caught in Joshua's game."Are you sure
“Are you sure about this?” Emilia asked one final time. She held a book, large and heavy, full of flying specks of dust that would’ve had a human coughing fits. It was a spell book. Full of ancient spells that were pretty forbidden… and also illegal. But what greater hypocrites are there than the ones wh
The bill passed sooner than most would have thought. The aristocratic’s did ask for a few other conditions which were thoroughly reviewed, but other than that things sailed smoothly. All there was left was for Alastair to finalise a contract with a recovering Shane. And so he was invited to the palace. Something no vampire had ever had the displeasure of. He looked to every corner of the palace in caution, expecting an assassination any moment. Of course, nothing happened.
“So, I take I he wasn’t too pleased with our proceedings?” Hector was perched up on the chrysanthemum tree, idly reading a book when Alexis had sat down to pour her troubles to him. His reading would have to wait.Alexis gave a dry laugh, “I’m not entirely sure. Why do you t
The secret garden was the same as ever. In all honesty, Alexis hadn’t visited it after Alastair had showed it to her. She was always busy. Busy and scared. She wasn’t sure why. But, the place seemed sacred. It was almost as if she didn’t belong there. In its majestic beauty she felt like dirt. Ironically…
The appearance of vampires dates back to as far as 1700, a far cry from the current 3562 century, back then they had a population of a billion and come the current years have dwindled down to only a handful. Their existence is currently on the brink of extinction. This was because of the stigma they carried. Shadow magic was already an isolated form of magic, and with vampires being natural users they were also isolated.
“Oh my head. Oh god my head is splitting” groaned Alexis.“It doesn’t get easier” Alastair agreed through pained groans.“This is a familiar situation, isn’t it?” The gender less voice made Alexis perk up.
It was almost comical when the three sat on Alexis’ dinner table. Glaring at each other. The aroma of fresh bread and pepperoni taunted the serious expressions on their faces. They deeply inhaled it, unable to stop their hands from inching towards the box.It was only a matter of seconds before Ale
It was only minutes after when Alastair’s stomach rumbled. It was the first time Alexis had seen him so embarrassed.“Haha, let’s get you something to eat” she helped him up, not noticing the looks of interest he threw the bathroom. He touched the shower head, flinching when a droplet of water fell on his hand.&l
“-Lexis. Alexis!”The said girl jumped in alarm, barely knocking over her soda as she turned to her friend Blair.“What?” She asked, after forcefully swallowing the chunk of bread she hadn’t chewed for the past five minutes.
