Apart from other days, Sabrina didn't wake me up in the morning, instead left me sleepingwhich was strange, later I came to know that Sabrina sneak out early in the morning; I assumed she had business to attend to. I could have never imagined that it was the beginning of one of the worst days in my life.

I waited for Sabrina to return but she never did. Hour went, by and evening arrived but there was no sign of Sabrina and I was beginning to get worried. She shouldn't have sneaked out like that. I tried to reach her through the phone, I even called her severally but it went straight to the voice mail. This dread began to gnaw at me in my chest. Something was wrong.

“Pierre, you stay with Nanny Maria,” I said, my voice barely correcting itself from becoming a quiver. “I have to go look for Mommy. ”
