Maya gulped hard as she sat down. The hairdressers started prepping her hair, and she was quickly surrounded.
They muttered, “OMG! This will take a while. Madam Oli, you should come back after two hours.”
Another one added as she brushed Maya’s hair, but the comb was stuck, “Make that four.”
Sally and Oli looked at each other. They stared at Maya with a questioning gaze that made her face red with embarrassment.
She was annoying Pedro, okay? The more she would not look pleasing to his eyes, the more he should have avoided her. That’s the reason for her not really brushing her hair.
But she did take a bath a lot.
Oli patted Maya’s shoulder and nodded with an understanding smile. She said, “Good luck Maya. Enjoy.”
