Chapter 61

Third Person's POV

Tate went through the motions of his day. His body was there, but his head was elsewhere. It was still back home with Chloe. He didn't notice the Omega on his way back from training. He was too lost in his thoughts and his pain.

The Omega perked up at the sight of Tate but frowned when he walked right past him and inside the pack house. He immediately noticed something different about the Alpha. He seemed sad and never once looked up from the ground. It seemed like he was staring at his feet as he walked, which was unusual for an alpha. They usually walked with her head held high.

Tate didn't bother with lunch; he didn't have an appetite, so he walked past the dining room and headed upstairs. The quiet room was too quiet, and her scent was everywhere.

The Alpha felt like he was losing himself. He growled in frustration, grabbed his pillow, and pressed it over his face as he yelled into it.
