Third Person's POV

Joey sat in the backseat, both nervous and excited. He looks down at the gift that is wrapped so carefully, and the Omega smiles as he runs his fingers along the edges. The Omega worked so hard on his gift. His mother bought him a new set of colors so he could get Tate's bear just right. Once the drawing was complete, his mother took him to a store so he could pick out the perfect picture frame. The picture of Tate's bear looked so good against the natural dark stained wooden frame. It was so beautiful that the Omega was tempted to keep it so he could see Tate's bear every day… ‘Maybe I'll make another one for myself,’ Joey thought, smiling as he gently ran his fingers along the wrapping paper.

His heart beats faster at the thought of giving it to Tate. He couldn't wait to see him smile; he hopes he does.

He feels a rush of excitement bubbling up and begins squirming in his seat. Luke chuckles as he reaches over to rub Joey's arm.

“Antsy pants,” Luke teased.

“Do

Tate is probably very confused. I mean he and Chloe were so sure they were each other's mates.

Third Person's POV Joey was beyond excited that Tate accepted his gift. He squealed as he ran into Luke's arms. “He accepted it! Do you think he'll like it? I hope he likes it,” Joey said. His hands rapidly moved, and his smile stretched from ear to ear. His eyes sparkled, and Luke couldn't stop himself from pulling Joey into a hug again. “He's going to love it!” Luke said.Joey's bright smile was contagious. His eyes sparkled as he looked around and rubbed his hands on his pants. “Let's grab something to eat,” Luke said, pulling his antsy friend to his feet. “I have to go to the bathroom first,” Joey signed before disappearing inside. All of his fears seemed to have disappeared, covered up by the excitement pouring out of him. His smile never left his face, not even as he entered a pack house that he was unfamiliar with. He slowly pushed open one door after another, peeking in to see if it was a bathroom. Footsteps approaching had Joey pulling his head out of the room he was pee

Third Person's POV Coal came home from training to find his little elf fast asleep. Since he had moved into his own apartment, he had forgotten how frequently Omega napped. Even though Nathan is an elf/ Vampire hybrid and not a werewolf, he naps just as frequently as an Omega wolf does. After his shower, the Alpha was going to get dressed and finish his report in his office, but the sight of the Omega’s exposed back and delicate leg had the Alpha crawling into bed with him. The Alpha’s strong scent had the Omega's nose flaring, and he began to move in search of Coal’s scent. His nose nuzzled the Alpha's neck as Coal tilted his head. Tingles dance under the Alpha's fingertips as he lightly trails them along Nathan's back. Coal smiled when he watched goosebumps spread along the Omega's body. His hand glides over the roundness of his ass, slowly pulling the sheet back and exposing his plump cheeks. More goosebumps seem to explode along his body, and Nathan hums against Coal’s neck as

Third Person's POV Tate went through the motions of his day. His body was there, but his head was elsewhere. It was still back home with Chloe. He didn't notice the Omega on his way back from training. He was too lost in his thoughts and his pain. The Omega perked up at the sight of Tate but frowned when he walked right past him and inside the pack house. He immediately noticed something different about the Alpha. He seemed sad and never once looked up from the ground. It seemed like he was staring at his feet as he walked, which was unusual for an alpha. They usually walked with her head held high.Tate didn't bother with lunch; he didn't have an appetite, so he walked past the dining room and headed upstairs. The quiet room was too quiet, and her scent was everywhere. The Alpha felt like he was losing himself. He growled in frustration, grabbed his pillow, and pressed it over his face as he yelled into it. After only half an hour in his room, Tate's eyes glaze over as he pushes o

Third Person's POVLexon and Aero finish looking over Vincent's report, and Lexon sighs as he sits back in his chair. “Well, it looks like our people aren't the only ones running underground illegal operations,” Aero said as he stood and walked toward the liquor cabinet.“We're going to have to take this to Reid. This isn't our jurisdiction,” Lexon said, then looked at his brother when he groaned. “You drank the last of the blood,” Aero said in frustration. “Yeah, sorry about that. I can't drink from Jace in the mornings because of his supplements. Just go to the feeding room. There's tons of humans in there,” Lexon said sarcastically as he wiggled his eyebrows at his brother.Aero glared at his brother and was tempted to bite his smart ass. “Listen, I told you I'm sorry! Keep rubbing it in, and I'm going to bite your ass,” “Only if you can catch me, little brother,” Lexon teased, his black mist dancing around him, ready to disappear if his brother lunged for him. “Go get some bl

Third Person's POV Naham's eyes slowly closed when he felt his mate's tongue against his neck. The Omega released a shaky breath as Aero laid an open mouth kiss on his neck. The Omega was shocked, but he wasn't afraid. In fact, it was quite the opposite. He felt excitement rolling through him and anticipation, waiting for the moment he feels Aero's fangs pierce his skin. A shiver ran down his spine when he felt his vampire's tongue against his neck and his mouth sucking at the tender flesh. He bit his lip, and his chest rapidly rose and fell as he gripped Aero. “Naham,” Aero whispered, causing the Omega's heart to skip a beat at the sound of his name.Aero's hand gripping and caressing his back so intimately, it made Naham melt against his mate. He felt Aero's fangs pierce his skin, his eyes shot open, and his mouth opened as he sucked a breath in. He immediately noticed it felt much different than any other time. It didn't hurt nearly as bad; in fact, it almost felt good. He felt

Third Person's POV Aero was on cloud nine. His little Omega didn't want to let him go. It was a strange feeling, but one he loved. The Elder went from never letting anyone get too close, to not wanting to let the Omega go. His presence was comforting and soothing. It calmed something deep inside, something he didn't know needed to be soothed, and he made him happy in a way he never knew was possible. The Elder had already fallen deeply for the Omega. He just didn't realize he was already in love. When the Omega lifted his head and looked at him lovingly, the Elder felt giddy and almost squirmed. He felt like a young vampire again, but different. Naham looked at Aero in a new light. He no longer feared him or considered him a monster. Even though he was the very being that terrified him and brought him misery, he trusted Aero and found himself falling for the vampire. Aero reached up and caressed the Omega's cheek. “Do you want to go for a walk? Aside from the balcony, I know it's

Third Person's POV “Tate, you can't hide behind your work. I know you're hurting, but drowning yourself in work won’t make it go away,” Noah said as he walked around the desk. The Omega came onto his toes, trying to sit on the desk, and then he frowned when it wasn't working. Tate raised an eyebrow as he watched the little Omega desperately try to sit on the desk in front of him. He bit his cheek, trying not to laugh.“Why do they make these damn things so tall?!” Noah growled in frustration and then yelped when Tate plucked him off his feet and sat him on the desk. “There you go, short stuff,” Tate said, and Noah's face lit up. “Hey, there you go! Hang around with me long enough; everyone you know will have a nickname!” Noah said happily, and Tate groaned as he shook his head. “And how is that supposed to help me?” “It'll help you by giving you a sense of humor instead of walking around with a stick up your ass like you normally do!” Noah said, and Tate rolled his eyes. “Anyway

Third Person's POV “Damn it, why didn't you tell me this earlier!” Aero said in frustration as he raked his fingers through his hair. “I'm sorry, I didn't think to tell you about it. I was too focused on my little dragon to think of yours,” Ezra said as he shrugged his shoulders. “Well shit, watch our mates!” Aero said as his black mist began forming around him. Adonis was mid-sentence when the Elder suddenly appeared, and Lana shrieked. “I'm sorry! I need you to help me get my Omega gold for his ritual,” Aero said with a look of desperation. Lana held her hand over her chest as she awed, and the commander laughed while grabbing the Elder. “You know the pastry shop next to that vegetarian dump, right?” Adonis asked, and Aero cringed, remembering the time the stupid fluffy white-haired Omega took him there and tried to get him to eat that nasty plant-based shit. His black mist danced around them before the ground under their feet disappeared. ~Aero

Third Person's POV Darien stood in the closet, buttoning his shirt. His mind raced with all the different scenarios of things that could go wrong. He tried not to think of it but couldn't stop his thoughts from racing. What if they didn't like him? What if they hated the fact he was a submissive Alpha and thought he wasn't good enough for their brother? His thoughts spiraled out of control. He had just finished buttoning the last one and gasped when Wyatt suddenly appeared behind him. His strong chest crashed against his back as his arms quickly wrapped around him. Darien smiled as he tilted his head, giving his Alpha access to his neck, which he quickly accepted. Wyatt buried his face against his skin, nuzzling and kissing him.“You're right, maybe we shouldn't go. Maybe we should just lay in bed and snuggle all night. I'm having withdrawals; I need to drown myself in you,” Wyatt's voice was muffled with his lips pressed against his mate's neck. Darien's heart fluttered when the Al

Third Person's POV Grayson's laptop was long forgotten on the little table next to him. The Alpha lies on his side in the daybed, staring at his mate. He loves the Delta's smooth, pale skin and the way his dark, straight hair lies against his forehead. He loves how he chews on his lip while he reads and tilts his head when he doesn't understand something. He loves the time they are spending together, quietly sitting beside each other outside on the balcony, sharing the silence. “So… My job wouldn't be to fight for our people?” Sebastian's soft voice broke the silence. Grayson's heart swelled when he called them “our” people.“No. Your job as Luna is to make sure everyone who cannot fight gets to safety in the event of an attack. We have several bunkers. Normally, we use the two bunkers in the basement of the pack house. In extreme cases, we use the large one under the field beside the pack house, but we haven't used it in a long time. That one is big enough that everyone in the pack

Third Person's POV “I can't be a Luna; I'm just a Delta 3. All I know is how to be a pet. I don't even know how to be your mate,” Sebastian told Grayson before Ezra went to take down Luther. The book Sebastian was reading suddenly goes flying as Grayson grabs him from the sofa chair and falls back against the couch, wrapping him tightly in his arms. Sebastian laughs as Grayson buries his face in his neck, and his light stubble tickles his sensitive skin.Grayson's heart swells; Sebastian's laughter is music to his ears. He takes a deep breath in of the Delta 3's incredibly sweet scent, and his chest rumbles in satisfaction. The sound coming from his Alpha sends a shiver down Sebastian's spine. “I was studying,” Sebastian said, biting his lip when he felt Grayson's warm breath fan his neck. “It was taking too long! I feel neglected,” Grayson mumbled against his neck, and Sebastian's stomach fluttered. The Delta 3 pulled his head back and looked at Grayson. “I didn't mean to negl

Third Person's POV Ezra has been standing outside Lexon's door for several minutes, trying to get the courage to go in. He reaches up to knock on the door but pulls his hand back and exhales, letting his hand drop to his side. Ezra hangs his head as he turns to walk away, but the door suddenly opens. “Leaving so soon?” Lexon said, and Ezra slowly turned to face him. When Ezra looked at Lexon, he was relieved to see how well he looked. His skin looked completely normal, and his hair was just past his ears. “You look good,” Ezra said as he moved closer. He reached for Lexon's hair but paused when he saw Aero standing a few feet behind Lexon. “Come on in,” Lexon said as he stepped aside. Ezra swallowed before entering Lexon's room. When he entered the foyer, Aero turned and walked back into his brother's bedroom. Lexon nudged his head for Ezra to follow, and he did. As he entered the Elder’s bedroom, he found Jace sitting on the bed, watching a movie while crocheting. Jace looked

Third Person's POV Jace was concerned when Lexon slept the rest of the day, through the night, and into the following day.He was relieved when his brother-in-law knocked on the door late afternoon. Jace grabbed Aero's hand and quickly dragged him to their bed, where Lexon lay asleep. “Should I wake him? He hasn't woken up since he came home. I tried to give him blood, but he said he was too tired and needed a nap. That was yesterday! He hasn't woken up yet! Should I wake him?” Jace said as he tugged at his fingers, looking between his mate and brother-in-law. Aero wrapped his right arm around Jace and ruffled his hair.“He's okay. He was just exhausted. His body is working overtime to heal his body. Your skin is the largest organ in your body. He was burned from head to toe. 100% of his skin was burned off. I can tell the difference already. His skin is no longer transparent, and his hair is beginning to grow. See, look,” Aero said as he pointed to the stubble growing on Lexon's he

Third Person's POV Darien was excited but nervous. It was not only the first time he'd cooked in two years but also the first time he'd cooked for Wyatt. Wyatt's nose immediately flared as he entered the apartment. His eyes darted around as he closed the door and didn't stop until they landed on Darien. His eyes moved from Darien to the kitchen table, and his lips parted. For a moment, Wyatt is unable to move or speak. His lack of movement makes Darien even more nervous, and realizes he made a mistake. “I, I can make something else if you don't like spaghetti and meatballs. I, I should have asked you first if you liked it. I can whip something else up,” Darien said as he picked up his plate and Wyatt's. Wyatt was beside him instantly and took the plates from his hands. He set them down before grabbing Darien's waist with his left hand and pulling the smaller Alpha toward him. “I love spaghetti! I was just surprised that you did this for me. I wasn't expecting it,” Wyatt said soft

Third Person's POV Darien had a hard time falling asleep. He kept staring at the door and wishing Wyatt would walk through it. The minutes ticked by, and sleep refused to come. Darian glanced at the clock and decided maybe just a little peek would do. As quietly as he can, Darien pulls the blankets back and climbs out of bed. His sleep pants hang low on his waist, and his bare feet are silent against the wood floor as he walks down the hall. He pauses when he realizes the TV is on in the living room. But after a moment, he wonders if Wyatt fell asleep with it on. He didn't think he was watching TV; the sound was off. As quietly as he could, Darien walked into the living room. His heart raced, afraid of getting caught. He was relieved to find the Alpha fast asleep. His eyes were closed, and his lips were parted. He looked so peaceful, Darien thought as he stepped closer. He let out a quiet breath as he sat on the chair beside the couch. He put his elbows on his knees and rested his

The way he opens the door for him, keeping his body between him and the road, showing chivalry, and making him feel special. It's something he never thought he would feel after what happened to him. He never thought anyone could possibly accept someone like him, but this man does. Wyatt does it so effortlessly.
