Chapter 10

Third Person's POV

Time seems to stand still in the blinding pitch-black darkness where you can't even see your hand in front of your face.

Nadja has no idea how many hours have passed or how many times the sun has risen and set since they took Roman. This is the longest he's ever been gone, and the elder is becoming scared he may never see the little Omega that he promised one day he would save

The Elder squeezes his eyes closed, and his shoulders shake as he cries. For the first time, his tears have finally run dry. Nothing rolls down his cheeks as he cries. He barely remembers what it feels like to drink water or even a piece of bread. Nadja no longer has the strength to lift his head. It's been so long since he's even had the urge to pee.

The Elders's heart leaps in his chest at the sound of loud metal locks clicking, echoing through the cells. He squeezes his eyes closed when the bright, blinding lights flash on.

The Elder is eager to see. He forces his eyes open, squinting,
