Chapter 102

Third Person's POV

The foyer of the coven appeared under their feet. Ezra grabbed onto Lexon to steady himself as he became dizzy.

“Here, let me help you to the feeding room,” Lexon said, knowing how desperately his king needed blood. Normally, he would care about bringing Ezra into the feeding room, but at this point, he didn't. His King needed blood, and he needed it now.

“No! I'll be fine.”

“No, you won't! When is the last time you've had blood?” Lexon asked.

Ezra was pale going into the fight. The poison should not have affected him, but it did. It was a clear indication that he had not fed in a while. The Vampire King was so weak his powers barely worked. They barely escaped.

“I'm, I'm, fi-”

Lexon caught Ezra as he passed out. The Vampire King didn't realize that he used the last of his strength to burn that facility to the ground. The King turned even paler before Lexon's eyes, and he quickly gathered Ezra in his arms.

And he pretty much gives no warning to poor Lexon. I get why, but I just need Ezra to do a little more planning

Ezra needs to stop going in these situations without feeding first. Roma, on the other hand, is becoming more comfortable with Ezra. Their relationship is progressing nicely...
