"Hello," she said with a frown but before the other person on the other side of the call could respond Ruth screamed.The phone slipped from her hand and fell on the bed. She climbed the bed and tapped her mother on the side. She was very weak and bleeding from her ears. "Mum, Mum, please wake up," she cried She opened her eyes briefly and closed it again.
