Chapter 61: Dangerous Disclosures

RUTHIE DROVE ME HOME in silence. It was her way of acknowledging that I was miserable and needed space. After the epic argument at lunch, she had to know my mood had something to do with Zander. But it was also everything I couldn't tell her.

She didn't know what Dante had done to Zander and me, or how close the experience had made us. At least, I thought we'd been close. I choked down a sob.
