Rhiannon

I kept my eyes closed tightly as I slowly came to. The only sounds I heard were the wind blowing and water splashing in the distance. I thought it was odd that Gram opened my bedroom windows, but I honestly didn't think anything of it. I wasn't in the mood to think much thanks to the pressure in my head. I placed the palm of my hand on my forehead and started rubbing in small circular motions, hoping to somehow force away the feeling.

That bitch ..... that bitch fucking drugged me

Rieka Seth and I put on comfortable lounging clothes, which consisted of pajama bottoms and T-shirts. If the humans had a problem with it, they shouldn't have come by unexpectedly. We asked Manny to take them to the larger office and stay there with them until we could get downstairs. By now, everyone else was attending to their own nightly tasks and spending quality time with those they loved. You know, like what Seth and I attempted to do. Manny left as soon as Seth and I walked in, and the human couple stood up to greet us. The man was at least six feet tall, but not as tall as Seth. He had a dark complexion and brown eyes, and was honestly pretty hot. The woman was a little shorter than me. She had beige skin, blue eyes, and curly red hair that had blue, green, and purple peekaboo streaks. There was also something familiar about her that I couldn't quite figure out. "Do you smell that?" Lupa asked as Seth and I made our way over to the humans. Something earthy, right?

Isabella Lian, Aiden, Damian, Jay, Mia, and I helped ourselves to pizza and sides as we waited for Cole and Harlee. Once Jay told us what happened, we decided ordering out would be easier than worrying about cooking on top of everything else that was going on. Sometimes I missed living at the pack house and having an actual cook, but that's just the way it is. Our main problem was the Harris family. Of all the vampires the human had to go all Buffy the Vampire Slayer on, it just had to be Jennifer fucking Harris. We'd heard rumors about her, but they were rich .... rich, smart, and her family was still human. We couldn't touch them because of that fact. We had to stay within vampire jurisdiction, and Jennifer stayed out of everything just enough that we never caught her in an act on her own. Cole shouldn't have broken into the funeral home, but then again, Miss Harlee Danovich wouldn't be breathing if he didn't. Cole carefully placed his hand on the back of the beautiful, volu

Harlee My eyes shot open to see I was lying on my back, slightly propped up with pillows, and Cole was lying next to me with his hand cupping my boob. I really didn't want to get out of bed. I also didn't want to leave the touch of his hand. But damn it, I had to pee. "Go ...." Cole whispered from next to me, and he slowly removed his hold. I swallowed to force the disapproving groan from leaving my mouth. "How long have you been awake?" I asked, making sure not to blow my funky wake-up breath into his face. I seriously needed to brush my teeth. "Long enough to know that you squirm in your sleep when you have to pee ....and you snore a little bit, too," he said casually as I felt my cheeks flush. No .... fuck no! I don't blush! I scoffed as I grabbed my slightly bent glasses off of the nightstand and put them on my face. Because that was obviously the only reply that I had. The stiffness and pain in my body reminded me that I was still alive, and as I got out of

  • The True Elemental Luna   Chapter 11 - Inappropriate Moment

Rieka I stood underneath the hot water, letting it rinse away the stress of another day. When the woman who you thought was your grandmother ends up being a lying, manipulative witch (literally), and calls you a Great Patroness .... Doyenne .... whatever .... you'd think that might be a good thing, right? Yeah, no. Being the most influential woman of my species when I'm obviously a rookie wasn't on my fucking BINGO card. Every day I learn something new, usually by screwing up, but I'm learning all the same. Gram has always been a sink-or-swim type of woman, so of course she decided to leave me high and dry. Instead of sticking around to help me, she's who knows where, probably getting shagged by the wolf God she's mated to, while I've been trying to figure out my role in the life that was literally twisted for me. No council means summit meetings are now non-existent. It's not like the last one was all that great anyway, so I won't be crying myself to sleep over it. One of the

CordeliaI asked Micah to take me straight home instead of wasting time getting my car from work. The silence between us was almost deafening as I stared out of the passenger window. "What's going on in that mind of yours?" Micah finally asked, breaking my train of thought. I continued to watch as building after building flew by. "Micah -"Tones started going off on Micah's pager, but before the dispatcher said anything, he turned the volume down."Why do you refuse to call me Lorne?" he asked, but he didn't give me a chance to answer. "Do you know why my parents named me Micah? It's because my dad wanted to name me Michael, and my mom wanted to name me Nicola, so they picked a name that was kind of a combination of the two. It's like, I don't know, Brangelina, or Bennifer, or Shefani, or .... something fucking humorous to break the tension that's in this car right now."I turned to look at him with a raised brow as a tiny smirk formed on my face. "Lorne, it is," I said softly as I

  • The True Elemental Luna   Chapter 9 - Painful Comfort

Harlee Once Cole and I were left alone, my eyes focused on the long stairway. Please tell me my room isn't up those awful stairs," I mumbled. Cole shook his head as he turned to lead me down the hallway to our right. "My room is far away from the others." I raised a brow in confusion. "I didn't ask where your ...... " I trailed off as my eyes went wide, realizing what he was saying. No. Fucking. Way. "It's not like that," Cole said quietly, seeming to understand what I was thinking. "I just .... I don't know. I want to keep an eye on you while you're here. You're hurt. The Harris family will be looking for you. Plus you and my sister clearly don't get along. I don't want her giving you any shit." "It's just work drama between her and I," I said as I waved a hand dismissively, while still letting him continue to lead me to his bedroom, might I add. "She's just a stuck-up ex-co-worker that happened to be screwing the boss and was placed on a pedestal ...." Cole's deep chuck

Maeve I was on my way to hang out with the others in the living room when my mom asked me to go to the meeting room. At first, I thought I would be blamed for what happened on the training field this morning, but then I was sworn to secrecy and I knew something else was going on. "The dreams st

Rieka I found myself in a dark, quiet void. The only sound I heard was Maeve breathing, and if it weren't for that, I would have sworn that I was alone. Even my wolf was quiet. Muffled voices could be heard in the distance, starting as a faint whisper, slowly growing louder. "Aunt Rhi?" Mae
