Dis

The shades that the burning glow of the lower mantel created were breathtakingly beautiful, like autumn on fire. The view was my reward for keeping watch over the hundreds of thousands of evil souls that aimlessly walked around, each one awaiting their turn to move closer to the Earth's core.

My job is to make sure that the number of souls stays in check to keep the Earth going. Let me backtrack..... When the essence of evil leaves the living surface it is sucked through the Earth's layers until it reaches me. Here, at the lower mantel, it continuously walks around with all of the other souls as it awaits its turn to go to the core to heat the Earth. If too many souls go to the core at once, the earth gets too hot. Too few and there will be another ice age.

Who exactly am I? Depends on the location and point of time that you ask. It also depends on who is telling the story and how much they exaggerate for attention. Some call me The Devil, Lucifer, Dis, Hades, Pluto, or Orc

Isabella I sat on the hard, wooden floor with my eyes closed tightly as I bit my lips together, wishing that my captors would just hurry up and kill me. "Do we really have to go through this every day? You NEED to drink. You don't understand how important it is," Peter grumbled as he continued to hold the bag of blood up to my lips. I finally opened my eyes and stared into his teal orbs. "Need to? No, I don't. I'll just become a fucking mummy if I don't eat. And the last bag tasted like shit. Knowing you and your partner, it's probably sepsis. " Peter squinted his eyes and dropped the bag in my lap as he stood up. "One would think you'd be appreciative of the fact that I'm offering you substance .... and that your hands are no longer behind your back. If I wanted to hurt you, I would have fucking done it by now, not made you more comfortable," he snapped before leaving me alone in the old, dimly lit, one-room building, locking the door behind him. As he opened the door, I

Rieka As I unwillingly sat in the meeting room next to Seth, I anxiously played with the nonexistent ring that hadn't been on my finger for months. A habit that I'm sure will be impossible for me to break. It didn't matter how big the meeting room was, I still felt uncomfortable surrounded by 13 strangers. We could have been in the large banquet hall used to hold summits and other large events, and it wouldn't have mattered. I still would have felt claustrophobic. It didn't help that I had no desire to be here. Future Luna or not, I should be out there with the others looking for Izzy, not sitting here next to Seth with a group of Alphas and Lunas that I didn't know. "Long story short, Luna, we're here because Jo forgot to hang up the phone," Alice Starfield explained. "I heard everything and immediately called my sister. Before you knew it, we were all on our way here." Alice was a beautiful young woman with skin that was the color of hot chocolate on a cold winter's day. She

Rieka "Rhi? We seriously need to get up," Lupa's voice echoed in my mind, waking me from my deep slumber. With my eyes still closed, I yawned and stretched, and as my hands moved across the familiar fabric, I realized that I was lying in my own bed. Before my thoughts could go any further, a set of dog legs was on top of my right arm, holding me in place. I slowly opened my eyes, thankful that the lights were dim, and saw Amar staring at me with his right eye while wagging his tail excitedly. A smile crossed my face as I reached over with my free hand to scratch Amar behind his ear. "What the hell happened?" I asked the gray dog, knowing damn well he couldn't answer. "That was all you. We started to pass out after the stunt with the dragon, but in the process, you somehow did some weird evanesce-teleportation thing. We got home in one leap, and everything went dark," Lupa explained as I sat up. I let out a sigh as I scanned the room for Seth, only to see that he was nowh

Isabella "Wake up, you fucking, dumb bitch," a familiar female voice whispered into my ear. I cringed at the sound of the voice as I tried to force my eyes open, but my eyelids were still too heavy from the juniper. SMACK A crisp slap landed across the side of my face, and I winced from the shock more than the pain as I tried to bring my hands up to defend myself. Only I couldn't. I tried again before realizing that my hands were restrained to the wall behind me. My ass was numb from sitting on the hard floor, and I tried to reposition myself .... just to find out that my feet were restrained as well. SMACK A second slap went across my face, this time a little harder than the first. "I'm awake, you fucking cunt," I mumbled as my eyes slowly opened, though my vision was blurry. Red hair. The only thing I could easily make out was red hair. "I know. I've just been wanting to do that since I saw you," the woman's voice said as she roughly took hold of my chin, tilting

Damian I knew that something was seriously wrong as soon as I saw the look on Seth's face. Without bothering to get any details, I evanesced home, hoping to make it back as quickly as Rhi did. Only I quickly realized that I was nothing like her. Rhi had to have done some evanesce teleportation combo thing. Despite taking multiple leaps, I returned home much faster than I would have by driving or even letting Ace take over and run home. But it still took a lot of energy and was longer than I had anticipated. When I finally arrived in the entrance area of the pack house, I immediately collapsed to my knees. "BELLA?!" I yelled out as loudly as I could. "Will you fucking let me take over?!" Ace growled as he continued to fight for control. Really?! With what fucking energy?! Fix that, first! Ace let out an angry scoff before going quiet. "Damian?!?" Mia's voice called my name from the top of the stairs as she and Jay hurried towards me. "Are you OK? Where is everyone else?"

  • The True Elemental Luna   Chapter 59 - Found and Lost

Laramie I had NO desire to have anything to do with the meeting. It's not like I was familiar enough with werewolves to say who should be bunking where. But, I didn't want to go fishing with the guys either, and Izzy was busy working. So I did what any logical vampire my age would do and went shopping. Izzy made my day when she asked about going riding. I got home as quickly as possible, hurried up the front stairs, ran to my room, and tossed my bags on the bed as I went to the closet to grab my riding boots. After switching shoes, I hid the bag I bought at the adult store and evanesced to the back porch. I knew better than to evanesce to the barn & risk freaking the horses out. As soon as I landed on the porch and took a step, something caught the tip of my riding boot, causing me to stumble toward the stairs. Luckily, I caught myself on the railing, and when I turned around to see what I tripped over, I realized it was a shoe .... a shoe attached to ... "Rhi?!?" I hurried t
