47 - The Show Must Go On

Now that we had a better handle on my father, I felt a lot more confident. If Katrina hadn’t worked so quickly, he could have blocked her from spelling him. I was desperate to grow my magic capabilities with their family, but that would all have to wait for another day.

“You’ve been so damn flighty I went ahead and picked the dress for you to wear before the wedding,” Carrisa says, handing me a hanger.

“What’s wrong with what I have on,” I frown.

“Livvie come on, I have been very patient with you this week but today is about more than just you, we have the entire community watching,” mother says.

She immediately turn to begin barking orders at the hair and make-up people and maids to bring drinks.

“Yes, surely MY wedding day is all about you, and everyone else,” I say, matter of fact. It takes me a bit, but I manage to get on the dress.

Carrisa snorts and holds up two different pairs of shoes. I point at the ones I like.
