~Godrey’s Point of View~My sweet Sunny came to me, she wanted to talk to me. My dead heart couldn’t take it. Hearing her voice, that’s not really her voice, just kills me. But I was desperate and grateful to have her willing, trying to even look at me. I’d never felt more pathetic. But I had to put that aside, she was trying. If I could at least get her to not fear me, that would be a positive thing. I had to try, but I was terrified I’d push her too far.I assured her that I would never hurt her, and the woman in my office was my sister. She didn’t believe me since by human standards Diana looks half my age and nothing like me, but I couldn’t very well let her think I had a female caller in there. These weeks without my Sunny, without loving her were torture. A few nights ago I had a moment of weakness and almost thought about walking into the sun and ending it all. I can’t live without her, knowing she’s right there and I can’t have her. Knowing that we had only two short years of b
~Tyson’s Point Of View~Susie and I were in the woods, meeting up with our Shadow contact for an update but they were well over half an hour late and we weren’t sure how much longer we could wait.“We need to just go back, they’ll only buy that we took a run for so long,” she said.Just then, a woman appeared and walked toward us. I instantly recognized her as the Greek witch Katrina, and cocked my head to the side. She wasn’t a Shadow, why was she here?“What are you doing here,” I asked.“Godfrey has declared war on Sage Coven and on Fiona, my family is helping as are dozens of vampires. We need you to get me close to the witches here. I’m going to try and spell them so they can’t leave unless we want them to. As soon as Fiona thinks she’s being threatened or needs help, she’ll recall all of her minions. This is just going to buy them time to make a plan. I’m going to block my scent and my mind waves, and cloak myself in an invisible spell. I need you to show me who they are though,
~Godfrey’s Point of View~ “I went to the wolf pack to spy on two witches and instead found seven total, where are the demon’s drawings,” Katrina demanded. She was angry, it radiated from her. Mateo ran forward with some crumpled papers and spread them on a table in my office. “These three, they were there,” Katrina said, matter of fact. “Fiona is trying to get several together in one spot, why? Just so she knows where they are,” I questioned. “Possibly. Dad go fetch the Russian witches,” Katrina commanded Ben, flicking her head toward the door. He glared at her, as if she should be making demands of him but she met his face with a smirk and he turned to leave, giving her a look of approval. These Greeks were all too weird. Diana stared at Ben’s every movement and I was ready to slap her into the wall just to get the look off her face. Like she doesn't get enough sex, it's disgusting! “This is Sofia and Natalya,” Ben said, a moment later after returning with the witches. I eyed
~Tyson’s Point of View~“Ohh yeah, just like that, ohh, ohh,” I moaned. I hissed my breath through my teeth at the sensation and looked down at the cute set of braided blonde pigtails bobbing in my lap. I threw my head against the wall and gripped the bedsheet, trying to hold out. She's just way to damn good at this. Unreal.“Ohhh fuck,” I moaned as I felt her sucking my balls. Damn this girl was a professional. Not that I had much to compare it to, but still. Her little hands stroked me firmly and the way her tongue moved, yeah she definitely wasn’t human. She was just completely everywhere at once.I thrust my hips into her mouth and she moaned, making me vibrate. Whatever I did to her, she wanted more, she begged for it. I wasn't sure all females were like that but clearly she could handle more.“Ohh yeah! Yeah baby I’m coming ohhhh,” I moaned, as I began to convulse. She sucked me even harder, milking every drop from me. How she did it, I have no idea but damn I hoped she wasn’t s
~Godfrey’s Point of View~It absolutely appalled me to have all these damn witches in my quarters. But I needed to know, I needed to see it, be faced with it. I hadn’t slept in days, but I was going to feed on two willing packhouse shifters before this picnic. It would have to be enough energy to sustain me. I ordered all the vampires to ground for the day and to feed only in the woods prior to our departure. They weren’t happy about it but I needed the humans to have their strength. As the witches began chanting, the light left the room despite it still being daytime. Could the witches block out the sun? I had to tuck that question away for later indeed.Suddenly there was a weird filter over everything, as if I were watching an old black and white television. Sunny came bursting into the room, angry and yelling. I quickly looked to the real Sunny, who was sleeping peacefully in our bed.“Damn it they just want to keep me locked in here, it might as well be a jail! I need some freak
~Tyson’s Point of View~We were gathered to leave for the cook-out and Susie and I were totally on edge. Unfortunately, when you’re freaking out internally it’s damn hard not to show it on the outside. That was part of being a Shadow though and I needed to master my poker face. Never let the enemy see you sweat, Chance always says. Man I was quickly realizing how homesick I was … I truly considered the Shadows and everyone there to be my people. I did everything to push away the horrible memories of my life before, and it meant everything to me that I could reinvent myself, have this chance. So whatever the hell was going to happen tonight, I was putting in 110%.Susie and I stood, hand in hand, waiting for the witches to show up. Everyone seemed relaxed and legitimately excited to be going out for the night. I looked around to see a few odd pairings like my “mate” and I, as well as some random shifters. I counted a couple panthers, foxes and even a lion. Damn, how have I not seen him
~Godfrey’s Point of View~During Sunny’s very quick shower I gave her the hurried version of events, and just as I knew … she refused to sit on the bench for the war. Luckily, Daisy had taken some videos of her running the yard and doing other things so we played them for her to learn the mannerisms and voice. She was of course, absolutely appalled at herself, but it just stoked her fury over the situation. I also had to promise that once this was over she would get treated to a full spa day. That little minx, always wanting to look perfect for me. Her nails weren’t done, her dark tan was fading, her hair roots were showing, her eyebrows were overgrown, the list went on and on but it was sweet music to my ears. I would gladly listen to her complain for the rest of my days.I laid in wait for the signal that the party was going down. As a council member I could certainly attend, and attend I would. It would seem a bit off certainly if there were a bunch of other vampires there so I did
~Tyson’s Point of View~We got most of the pack to the teleportation witch, and Susie disappeared with them but I refused to go. Always better to beg for forgiveness right?I was far closer to becoming a Shadow and even still, I wouldn't leave my people. Especially not when they needed me, orders or not.The witch was pissed and said if I didn’t go now she’d have to leave me and I told her to go ahead. I turned back toward the house, ready to shift when I saw Godfrey holding a witch by the throat. While he likely had things under control I never wanted to take that for granted. I ripped my shirt off over my head and quickly yanked off my boots.I instinctively ran toward him, and just as he dropped her, I knew something was wrong. I shifted as I ran and jumped on the witch as soon as I got to her, taking her by surprise. I closed my eyes tight, trying not to look at her as electricity from her fingertips zapped me all over. My wolf yelped in response after a few.She also had a silver

Ben and I had talked about doing an actual ceremony, for him it was an important thing. Tradition. He assured me ours would be completely different from anything he’d done before, that the vows he made with other women were somewhat superficial. More of a just a promise they could join his family and that he was willing to have a child with them. More like a guarantee he’d get to sleep with them on demand. I still struggled with that sometimes. How do I just walk around knowing that all these women had shared something so special and intimate with MY mate? It wasn’t like they were one night stands. I knew it would get better, the more distance I could put between them and him, but it still tugged at my self esteem. It was even harder trying to help care for Dorothy and Calista’s children, especially since even now they still asked for their moms. Sometimes they cried out for them at night. A few times we both slept in their rooms with them. Dorothy was banished for five years, then
~Meadow’s Point of View~ “Don’t you just feel like a cow sometimes,” I muttered, staring down at my adorable twin pups that seemed to drink me dry each time they nursed. They were so cute when they weren’t screaming. When they weren’t crapping their pants. When they were just … motionless. *My beautiful babies,* Coral cooed. “Yeah, but it's such an incredible bond,” Lilly said, as I turned to cut my eyes at her. She was four months pregnant with their sixth child and THANKFULLY it was only one baby this time. I thought they were all insane. I nearly said, ditch the crap woman, I’m a freaking milk cow, a spit up rag and yesterday Reed whizzed in my face while I was bathing him! “It gets easier, they’re only six weeks old,” Lilly said, running her finger over Hazel’s cheek. That’s what they ALL keep saying. “It gets easier.” Ah huh. *We have been getting more sleep lately,* Coral protested. Yeah right, like SHE ever gets up. Really, I had no right to complain, since I had mo
~Ben’s Point of View~ I barely had to wait another minute for several vampires to try swarming in. Oftentimes there are some creatures that will take on a not so common alliance for the sake of a power grab. I knew in my bones that’s all this was, unless this sister had taken one as a mate. While you’d expect Godfrey to perhaps have reservations about killing his own kind, he absolutely didn’t. As a councilor, he took that shit pretty seriously. If they wanted to fuck around and be stupid, test the waters well, that was on them. I stood still watching as numerous Shadow vampires, witches and fairies seemed to descend from nowhere, and I also recognized two of Godfrey’s children. He likely called them through their bond, but I was pleased for the support. I bounced around, throwing some fireballs from my fingertips and even conjuring up some various weapons such as shurikens or ninja stars, which were one of Godfrey’s favorite things. Only it was hard for him to touch silver unless
~Ben’s Point of View~ My heart swelled as I watched Daisy doting on Ash. Since their mating bond had been broken, they re-mated and apparently all that entailed. They were both like young teenagers in love all over again, and it was a sight to behold. I couldn’t wait to bring Meadow to see. They had been left alone for a couple of days, much like my little love and I. But now guests and well wishers poured in from all over the place. I could tell he was grateful and overwhelmed but the relief on everyone’s faces seemed to rejuvenate him. Shane and Godfrey had brought him up to speed on all that transpired and he kept insisting he was to blame in some fashion for not having a security detail and allowing himself to be caught. It was all we could do to reassure him that we were all to blame. I felt I was more so than anyone. Apparently this attack had been decades in the making. Ash was just an innocent bystander, but as not only a Shadow but also a councilor he knew the risks. Doe
~Meadow’s Point of View~ *Are you happy now,* I whined, scolding Coral. She didn’t answer, but instead played like she was asleep. Jerk! This was now the third night I’d been in the mountains with my mate, and while I’d felt the heat mostly subside a few hours ago we still couldn’t keep our hands off each other. I was beyond exhausted and not at all sure my legs would work. “And that position was called the hill but since I can levitate us I can actually hit you from underneath with a bit of acrobatics,” Ben said, running his fingers over my butt. I laid breathless, my head in a pillow, totally spent. I just wanted to sleep for a couple days, how the hell did he have this kind of stamina?? I mean he practically died just a few days ago! *Males always make an effort when it comes to their release,* Coral said, yawning. I had no doubt that was the absolute truth. When I had said I wanted to spend time in the coven’s library learning, I hadn’t realized I already had my own personal
~Ben’s Point of View~ It was obvious my little love wasn’t yet capable or able to express herself in words when it came to sex, but her body told a different story. The fact that Meadow was still so shy, so bashful could not have possibly been a bigger turn on. If I could get her to the point where she talked dirty to me, I’d be coming in my pants just by her words. All the women in my life had always been so daring, so sure of themselves. Her sweet innocence, her timid nature and her untouched body was all too much. I felt as though I had split personalities … on the one hand I wanted to be her fierce protector, the macho male who puffs out his chest and kills a spider in the bathroom just to be her hero. Then fuck her relentlessly to further stake my claim and beat my chest. On the other hand, I wanted to sing the songs of love and make sweet love to her for hours on end. I’d serenade her in Greek, as the words of love just sounded better than in English… I’d make her dinner and t
~Meadow’s Point of View~ “She must die, she’s lied to us all for decades. She’s kept you from Georgia, and Little Ben was just…” Sebastian trailed off. Coral shivered, remembering our brief time with the boy. He was so hopeful, curious. Yet he knew his days were numbered, how depressing. There was too much having us all on edge, especially since we were waiting for word about my father. Clearly I didn’t have the same attachment to Athena as everyone else, as her own son would. But if this was how he felt about it… Our eyes darted to Ben. “Fifty years of banishment, then we reconsider. Give her the same courtesy she gave to me,” he finally said. Numerous others murmured in agreement. “On the matter of Georgia I’m not as easily able to decide. We’re going to give her a chance to prove herself. I believe we define ourselves on the decisions we make and while some … have to be made in the blink of an eye, they can still very much have very real consequences. Georgia has lost, she ha
~Ben’s Point of View~ I was certain I’d missed a hell of a lot while I was knocked out, but there was no time for trips down memory lane. No time to address the pain that still wracked my body. The reek of the venom that was still radiating from my pores. The fact that my mate smells of pure arousal, and was laying on top of me in her panties with my blood on her hands. Definitely need more of an explaination on that. Everyone is depending on me, I have to do this. It has to work. I briefly said a prayer to the Goddess that we often ask her to pass on to through our ancestors. To draw on their power when we need it. Then I began the spell as I recalled it, hoping like hell it worked. Katrina and Cleo came to either side of me, and we locked arms. Sebastian should be here, even Athena’s strength would be good. But no time now. Just as I had that thought Georgia appeared in front of me and got between Katrina and I. Her scent immediately calmed me, it was what helped my younger self
