I was very disappointed to have to send Hunter to meet with Katerina instead of myself. I didn’t expect to find rogues so close to home and I knew I couldn’t leave without taking care of the problem first. We finally have the rogues retreating and my warriors are cleaning up the dead bodies. I look at my watch and didn’t realize it was already nine.
“Joy have you seen Hunter,” I ask our pack doctor as she tends to the wounded.
“No I haven’t Alpha.”
“Everything alright darling,” asks my mother.
“I’m not sure, Hunter hasn’t returned.”
“I’ll keep things in order here honey. Go find him.”
“Okay mom,” I reply as I kiss her cheek and head towards Winter’s Moon.

Katerina Normally I hate when someone calls me angel, but when he does it feels right. I head back home and sneak back through my bedroom window. I can see Katerina’s anger grow as we arrive back at the back house where Katerina is led to the Alpha’s chambers where a badly beaten young man is tied to a sliver chair with silver chains and what looks like a drip with what is probably wolfsbane.
