"I need to pee," Esme says, tugging at Mason's hand. He stands up, giving her a playful smack on the ass. "Come on, then," he teases. "Let's see how good I am at eating you out."

Hannah gets up just as her phone rings, quickly answering and walking off.

Leaving Jace and me alone.

"Come, bean," Jace whispers in my ear. His hands find my waist, and I slowly get up, feeling a bit tipsy. He guides me over to his car. As we approach, he unlocks it. "What do you think?" he asks. I look up at him, confused. "About?" I reply. He points at his car. "The car," he proudly states.

I take in the dark green exterior. It’s sleek, powerful, undeniably beautiful. "It’s gorgeous," I admit, my eyes tracing its lines.

"It's yours," Jace says.

I keep looking at the car until his words finally register.

"What?" I question, unsure if I heard him right.

"It’s yours. Consider it the first step to… everything." His voice is smooth, as if this is the most normal thing in the world. I gape at him, then b

"He's just so hot. I can't concentrate when he talks to me," Lina whispers next to me.I roll my eyes. I really wish they’d stop talking about my brother. Mason had walked past us a few minutes ago, sternly telling us to be quiet while we waited for our next class. Or as everyone else knows him, Mr. Jackson. No one knows he’s my brother, except a few teachers and my best friend, Hannah—who also happened to have a secret crush on him. She is cured, thankfully. Mason teaches Business English and is in a loving relationship with my other best friend, Esme."You think so? He's got nothing on Mr. Adkins. I’d eat him for breakfast," Charlotte chimes in.Okay. I’d rather hear about my brother than Mr. Adkins. And speak of the devil—here he comes.Mr. Adkins, the teacher who hates me the most. I honestly have no idea why. Sure, I’m failing his class, and maybe I don’t cower under his death glare, but other than that, I’m clueless. Still, I can’t stand his voice, and I’m sure the feeling is mu

  • The Teacher's Obsession   Chapter 2: Wednesday

He ignores my comment and turns his attention back to the class. Without explaining the answer, he carries on as if nothing happened. Another hour passes, and I rest my head on my hand, barely holding myself up, eyes fixed on Mr. Adkins as he talks. He might be an asshole, but at least he's a good-looking one. I wouldn’t call him hot, like my classmates do—his awful personality drops his attractiveness by about 80%. But that remaining 20%... His dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and sharp features are reminiscent of Peter Badenhop and Sahib Faber. He’s always in a black business attire, hiding his build but not the fact that he’s athletic. His muscles flex whenever he writes, and the stubble on his jaw is always perfectly trimmed. The worst part? He knows he’s attractive. That just makes him more unbearable. When the bell rings, the whole class stays seated. They always do with him. He gives an order, and everyone follows. He turns to face us, scanning the room with a sharp gaze. Lina sits

  • The Teacher's Obsession   Chapter 3: Tutoring

"Take your time; only twenty people are waiting," someone snaps from behind me. I immediately pull away from Hannah’s arms. Even she seems surprised by the interruption from Mr. Adkins. But then I notice we are standing against the door, and everybody is actually waiting for us. "Sorry, sir," I mumble, avoiding his gaze. Trying to be nice to him is going to be harder than I thought. I quickly move to the back of the class and sit down, pulling out my phone before Mr. Adkins calls for silence. -Nora: Hey, Con. Can you help me with math? Exams are coming up, and I'm failing. My phone buzzes almost instantly. -Connor: I'm failing math too. I can help you though. -Connor: This weekend? Fuck sake. Of course. With a sigh, I open my textbook and actually attempt to pay attention. The first thirty minutes go okay, but soon enough, the numbers on the board start blending together. I peek at Hannah’s notes, noticing numbers that aren't even on the board. I frown, completely lost. It

  • The Teacher's Obsession   Chapter 4: The Book

"Wait, you will be tutoring me?" I ask, eyes widening. "Is that a problem?" he replies, walking back to his desk. I hesitate for a moment, trying to gather my thoughts. It absolutely fucking is. "Uhh... no, of course not. When are we starting?" I ask after a brief pause. "That keen, are we?" I hear the humor in his tone, his back still turned to me as he gathers his things. "Keen as a bean," I mutter sarcastically. I had hoped someone else would be tutoring me. He turns around and gives me a piercing look, his eyes flicking to my stuff. "Well, bean, hurry up. You've got a book to read." Right. I hurry to the back of the class, gathering my things in a rush. The book is too big to fit in my bag, so I hold it against my chest and walk toward him. He's already waiting by the door. "So... when do we start, exactly?" I ask again for clarification. "I told you. Once you've read the entire book," he says nonchalantly. "The book is, like, 500 pages. That'll take me ages. By the tim

  • The Teacher's Obsession   Chapter 5: Homework

We live in a semi-big house with a nice garden, plenty of space for just Mason and me. There are four bedrooms, so we always have room for guests. Ramon, Mason’s best friend, practically lives here, so one of those rooms is basically his. Esme, Mason’s girlfriend, is over a lot too, although she sleeps in Mason’s bed, along with the occasional... unfortunate noises. Esme recently graduated from law school and works at a small firm nearby. She's still in her party phase and makes sure I get to experience some semblance of a "student life." She even tags along to parties thrown by my friends, keeping my brother's teacher status under wraps like a pro.“A Porsche Cayenne,” Mason says, interrupting my thoughts. “But apparently, he’s got another car too.”"Ah, right," I reply with a bored tone.A dickhead car.Mason turns on The Office as we dig into dinner. We laugh at the show, and by dessert, he’s already in teacher mode. “I need to grade some papers. Want to help?”“What’s in it for me

  • The Teacher's Obsession   Chapter 6: Work, work, work

On Thursday, I made it through another half of the math book. The numbers were starting to blur together, and after a while, I wasn’t even sure what I was reading anymore, but I pushed on. The sooner I finish, the sooner I can start tutoring. When Friday arrives, the day of our trip to Mr. Adkins' other workplace, I almost consider skipping it. Do I really want to endure more of his torture? "What if I just told him I died or something?" I sigh to Hannah during our break. "Yeah, that’ll work. He’ll totally buy it," she smirks as she gathers her stuff. I still can't shake the memory of his hand gripping my arm and tightening when I dropped his book. The book now has a permanent crease as a reminder. Sure, he saved me from falling, but only after causing the near-disaster in the first place. And yes, he stood way too close to me... but maybe that was because I refused to give his stuff back. "Girls! Hurry up, or we’ll be late!" Lina shouts, heading over with Charlotte. I let out a

"I'm Richard, by the way," he says as he leads me into an office in the corner. "What's your name?" he asks, turning to me."Norali," I reply softly. He opens the door, and I'm immediately drawn to the wall filled with photos."Beautiful," I hear him murmur. The first few are typical group shots, people posing for the camera. As I walk past them, my eyes scanning for a particular person, I freeze. My eyes snap to him in the next picture. He's off to the side, holding a drink, surrounded by three women. He's not smiling, but they are. I've never seen him smile. "That was last month," Richard says. I move to the next photo. There he is again, more disheveled this time, his blazer gone, the top buttons of his shirt open. He looks much more drunk. A woman with black hair is laughing next to him, her hand resting on his knee. He’s not looking at the camera but off to the side, his grip tight on the back of a couch. What was he looking at? "You know... you're literally one of the most

With a caramel macchiato in hand, I feel instantly better. The rich scent of coffee and caramel soothes me as I step out of the car, greeted by Connor’s smiling face, who's leaning against his own car elegantly. "Hey, Nora," he says with a nod, his eyes roaming over me. "You’re looking fucking hot today, jeez." His compliment makes my cheeks warm. Before I can respond, Ryker's voice booms across the parking lot. "Still up for partying tonight?!" he yells, drawing attention from the students nearby, some of whom can’t help but glance at Connor. "Definitely," I laugh. We all walk into the school together, a big group of friends. As we near the teacher’s room, Connor and Ryker trail alongside us. Just then, Mr. Smith, one of the older teachers, spots us. He's struggling with a pile of boxes. "Perfect timing, guys. Can I borrow some muscle?" he asks. Connor and Ryker immediately dash forward, competing to carry the heaviest box. I give Mr. Smith a smile and accept a small box with o

"You and Ryker, Han? Is that serious now?” Mason asks suspiciously. “You could do so much better,” he mumbles. Jace fills our glasses with wine again. I take a sip, and he immediately pours more into my glass. “Thank you,” I say, smiling softly, and Jace fills it even more. “It’s not that serious, no. The plan is for Nora to date Connor so we can go on double dates,” Hannah replies, bobbing along to “For You” by Liam Payne (ft. Rita Ora). Some of the wine sloshes onto the table as Jace pours, but he quickly recovers. Esme bites her lip, looking at Hannah with glee. Mason rolls his eyes, and Jace sits down next to me, now a bit closer. “To be fair,” Esme says, taking a sip of her wine, “you and Connor would have beautiful children.” Suddenly, a hand grabs my bare knee under the table. I almost flinch, but the grip is firm. "Esme," Mason warns. "I don't want to hear about that dickhead." Esme feeds him a piece of sushi. "What? Come on, even you can’t deny that. What do you think,

The closer I get to the table, the more impressed I am. There is just so much food. The whole table looks incredible. “Do you come here often?” I ask, genuinely curious. “No, this is my first time here,” Jace replies softly. “A friend of mine owns the restaurant, and every woman I know wants to eat here. So, I called him and made sure the place is all ours today.” I glance at Jace with scanning eyes. “It’s amazing,” I say sincerely. I notice that Mason is in high spirits, and so is Esme. Even Hannah is laughing loudly with the two of them, catching the attention of one of the waiters. "Well, you haven’t tasted the food yet. I’ll have your judgment after. Sit next to me and keep your hands above the table, bean," Jace instructs, right before tapping my ass softly. Did he just touch my ass? He walks off before I can give any reaction. “Hans, I’ll take over,” Jace announces, grabbing the bottle of white wine from Hans and pouring glasses for everyone. “Wow, Jace, it’s almost like y

  • The Teacher's Obsession   Chapter 57: Speak

“Speak,” Hannah demands, pulling off her sneakers. “About what?” I ask, feigning innocence as I bend down to unclasp my sandals. “Oh my god, Nora! You sitting on your teacher’s lap, and him holding you like he’s afraid you’ll disappear,” Esme says, giving me a shove that nearly sends me sprawling into the sand. “You hate him, and he hates you!”Hannah throws her hands in the air. I bite my lip, looking down. “We... we’ve been texting,” I admit slowly. Both of them gasp. I finally get my sandals off and glance at the inviting water. “You’ve been texting again? When?” Hannah asks, grabbing my arm and pulling me toward the water. It’s cold and crystal clear, and the soft sand feels good as I dig my toes in. “Last night... and the night before.” "Oh my GOD! Nora!" Hannah practically screams. "Wasn't he with strippers last night?" Esme asks, noting something every important.Hannah’s excitement falters as she turns to Esme in shock. “He was, yeah,” I say carefully. “But he went home.

Miraculously, Mason slows down immediately. The three of us let out deep sighs of relief. Adrenaline still courses through me, making my heart race. “Go left here,” Jace directs Mason, who obeys. I can feel the slight shift in the car as Mason finds a perfectly straight road. Mason's happiness at the straight road is palpable. The gas is pressed again, but this time, it’s smoother. He raises the volume of the music and starts bopping along to the beat, headbanging slightly. As the car settles into a steady pace, my body relaxes, and Jace seems to notice. But I get the sense that he’s aware of the lingering adrenaline. His grip on me loosens, but instead of letting go, his hand lands on the side of my bare leg, caging it between his leg and mine. It’s hidden from Mason’s view, but his touch is fully on my skin. My white dress has ridden up, barely covering my hips. “I didn’t think you’d want to slow down,” I say, trying to make conversation with the man behind me. “It scared you. O

  • The Teacher's Obsession   Chapter 55: Speed

I walk to the car like a robot, hearing the front door slam shut behind me. Jace’s comment about the backseat only fitting two people wasn’t a joke. The doors are still open, and I see Esme and Hannah looking at me with wide, questioning eyes. Did they see what just happened? Mason is busy fiddling with the radio, completely oblivious. "I don't fit," I say, raising my eyebrows. Jace steps up beside me, dressed more casually than usual—just a t-shirt and jeans instead of his usual office attire. "The biggest seat is at the front. Honestly, you could just sit on my—" Jace starts to say, but I move before he can finish. I crawl onto Hannah’s lap, sticking my ass out a little more than necessary. My dress rides up dangerously high, and I feel like my underwear is on the verge of showing. I turn to face Hannah, straddling her legs. We’re nose to nose, and she gives me a look that says she knows exactly what I’m doing. Her eyes flicker to Jace and then back to me, widening slightly. Jac

  • The Teacher's Obsession   Chapter 54: Dress

"So... someone is coming over this morning," I say casually to Hannah as I switch on the coffee machine. She’s lounging on the couch and immediately pauses The Office. "You’re joking," she gasps. Of course, she immediately knows who I’m talking about. I turn around as I hear her get up from the couch. "What do you mean 'coming over'?" she asks, full of intrigue. I sigh, pressing the cappuccino button. "Well... he’s got a day planned with Mason," I reply, trying to figure out how to tell her that he wants us to join. Hannah’s face narrows in suspicion. "Okay... what are you not telling me?" Before I can answer, Mason walks down the stairs with Esme, who showed up early this morning and immediately went to him. I’ve been downstairs avoiding them. "But I thought it was just a day with Jace," Mason complains. "Come on," Esme chimes in, opening the door to the living room. "It’ll be fun!" "Good morning, Hannah," Mason greets, though his eyes are still on Esme. "I wanted a bro day,"

I’m not going to send him a nude, especially since his picture is foggy anyway. Instead, I open the camera and stand in front of the living room mirror. I made sure my phone is in front of my face. It's just my op half on the screen, with maybe my shirt pulled down just a tad to reveal more of my shoulders and collarbones. It's not particularly sexy or anything like that. I could’ve probably done a way better job. -Norali: Picture I hit send and wait for his response, heart pounding. -Mr. Grumpy: Yes, mirror kink added. -Mr. Grumpy: You're stunning. And the nerves come back again. Did he really just call me stunning? My cheeks flush, and I clear my throat, which suddenly feels tight. Does he really mean that? Jace isn’t the type to throw out compliments. How can he even call me stunning when my face isn’t in the picture? -Mr. Grumpy: Your turn. Pressing my lips together, I stand frozen in the living room for a few seconds. What else could be a kink? I glance around the room, t

My heart races as I stare at the messages from Jace, my fingers hovering over the keyboard. He’s online, probably noticing that I am too. Another text pops up. -Mr. Grumpy: Sugar Baby. My belly flutters. -Mr.Grumpy: I want you to tell me one thing. -Mr. Grumpy: If you answer, I won't punish you for ignoring my request in the supermarket. I told you to keep your phone on, you brat. I start typing, then delete it. Type again, delete. A flood of responses rush through my mind. My phone was on all night; I just didn’t have it with me. But I doubt he’d appreciate that answer right now. Also, “brat” sounds... kind of sexy, coming from him. Okay. -Norali: Shoot. -Mr. Grumpy: Tell me what happened last night. Was there someone with you? Aaah. So he is still wondering about last night. Interesting. Well, that is exactly the same for me. I want to know what happened with Charlene. But he isn't going to get my answer that easily. -Norali: What an inappropriate question to ask, Mr. Ad
