Chapter 8

Author's POV

Robert stopped his car in front of Anderson's mansion and sighed in relief. He was looking back continuously while driving the car. He was afraid that Ryan's security would follow them.

Robert gets out of the car and then opens the door for Elena. Elena gets down. Robert holds her hand and then enters the mansion.

When they entered the living room, Robert saw everyone was already there.

"Can I go to my room?" Elena whispered to him.

Robert smiled and nodded at her.

Elena smiled back and then ran from there.

Robert looked at them and forced a smile.

"Robert, I want to say something. Come here" Jack said.

Robert nodded and sat down on a couch.

"The time has come," Jack said and Robert looked at him with confusion.

"What time, you are talking about?" Robert asked him.

"About my daughters' marriage," Jack said.

"I have nothing to do with Linda's marriage. Why you are talking to me about it?" Robert asked him. He has totally ignored the word daughters. He already thought Jack said daughters by mistake.

"I think you did not hear me. I said daughter's marriages. I want both Elena and Linda to get married" Jack said and Robert looked at him with shock.

"Do you even know what you are saying? It is impossible. Elena can not get married" Robert said.

"Why? What is wrong with my daughter?" Nancy asked him

Ebert sighed and spoke up," Mrs. Anderson, you all already know the reason. Do you think after knowing Elena any boy will marry her unless he has some bad intentions?" Robert asked.

"Just because you are a lawyer don't think everyone is criminal, Robert. I know what I am doing and it is best for Elena" Jack said

"Elena is a child in her mind. A small child. She needs someone to take care of her 24 hours. Marrying her means sacrificing himself for her. Do you think anyone can do it? Can he stay with her 24 hours?" Robert asked.

"He will if I give him a big amount," Jack said proudly.

Robert smiled.

"So, basically, you want to sell her. I will not let you do it" Robert said

"And who are you to stop me? We are her family, not you. You are a lawyer just a lawyer. So, stay within your limits" Jack said

"Mr. Anderson, if you think Elena is a burden on you then I will take her with me. To get rid of her you don't need to sell her. Just because she is not your real daughter you can't do anything as you wish" Robert said.

"Dad, don't you think this old man is too much interested in her? Don't tell me you have bad eyes on her. Or did you do some nasty things to her" Linda said with an evil smirk

Hearing this Robert stood up in both shock and disgust.

"From the day I know her I only see her as my daughter. How could you think like this? Your mind is really dirty" Robert said.

"Shut up. My daughter is right. If you haven't any bad relationship with her then why the hell you are poking your nose in it?" Jack shouted.

"Do you think I am not aware of your motivation Mr. Jack Anderson? If you think I am unaware then let me remind you, you are doing this because you want the shares your dad gives her. I know you want to sell to a person who knows nothing about her wealth so you can have the shares after her marriage. But as your dad gave me the power of attorney I have the right to judge the person. If I find him unworthy then I can kick him out. And one more thing kick out the dog from the mansion or put him in a cage or I will request the police to send a lady police here who will stay here 24 hours. I know you guys will not like it. So, mind your tongue and hand around Elena. From now on, I will visit her every day. Stop me if you can" Robert said and left there.

"This bastard has crossed his limits, Dad," Linda said

"You will regret your every single word, Robert. You will pay for it with your life. You will not reach home. This is my promise. Today, I will send you to hell" Jack said with anger and took out his phone and called someone.

"Kill Robert before he reaches home," Jack said and disconnected the call.

"Good. He is the main problem. Our problem will be solved when he will die" Linda said.

"No. It will not. If Robert dies then another layer will take over his responsibilities" Nancy said

"Means?" Linda asked

"All lawyers of you Dad are very loyal. If this Robert dies then another, Robert will come. The main problem is Elena. Nor we can kill her or force her to marry someone. There is only one way" Nancy said

"Which way, mom?" Linda asked her

Nancy looked at Jack.

"What if Robert files a case after this?" Jack asked her. He knew what his wife was trying to say.

"We will go on a long vacation after this until we get confirmed. When we see the symptoms in her we will come back. And when he will ask why we didn't take any step against it then we will say because of our reputation we did not say anything" Nancy said.

"Yes. You are right. Then after this party, we will leave from here for some time. And this time, Lina will stay here only. She will not come with Elena" Linda said.

"No. It is risky. If the man creates a problem after it then. In the crime world, we can never trust anyone. Anyway, you both don't need to think about it. I have the perfect plan. If it does not work then we will use this plan. I have to leave now. I have some work" Jack said and left from there....
