Chapter 14

Author's POV

After a tiring day, Robert was going home in his car. He was sitting in the back seat. He was leaning against the seat. His eyes were closed.

Suddenly, Robert felt the car stop moving.

Robert opened his eyes thinking he had reached home but he saw his car was standing middle of the road. Robert got confused seeing it.

Robert looked at his driver and spoke up, "What happened? Why did you stop the car here middle of the road? It is dangerous"

"Sir, I need to pee. I just come" Saying this the driver gets down from the car and runs towards the forest before Robert says something. The road was beside a deep forest.

"Come soon" Robert shouted and looked around and got confused again. The road was empty. Not even a single vehicle there. And the most important thing is there is no stamp light there. The road is dark and empty.

"Did he take any shortcuts? Is the road

Abandoned or something? I think he took the wrong turn. I need to side the car" Robert said to himself and put his hand on the door to open it but he found the door was locked.

Robert tried to open another door but it was locked also.

"John" Robert shouted but his driver did not show up.

Robert was about to shout again when he heard a car sound coming from the back.

Robert looked back and saw a truck coming his way at full speed.

"John" Robert shouted and tried to open the door but his efforts were in vain.

Robert took out his phone to call his driver when the truck hit the car from the back.

Robert shouted in pain when his head hit hard with the glass. He felt something liquid was rolling down from his head.

Robert touches his head when the truck hits the car again. The car rises and falls in the forest. The door got broken. Robert falls somewhere in the woods. Before falling into the darkness he saw his car get fire. Soon he falls into the darkness.

The driver smiled took out his phone and called Jack.

Jack was lying on his bed with a woman. He was catching his breath after doing nasty things when his phone started ringing. Jack sat down and picked up his phone from the bedside table and picked up the call.

"Is the work done?" Jack asked him

"Yes. He is dead. Now give me the money you promised to give me" The driver said.

"Sure, you will get your price. You have done a great work. I will never forget it. Turn back and you will get your price" Jack said to him with an evil smirk.

The driver got confused but he turned and saw a man standing there wearing the mask.

"So, Jack sends you here to give me the money. Alright, give me my price" The driver said.

"Sure. Here it is" The man said and took out his gun. Before the driver understands something the man shoots the driver several times.

Jack smiled when he heard the gunshot.

"The man who betrayed his boss after working for him for twelve years for money can be truthful. When he able to betray me too" Jack said.

The man who was wearing the mask. He came near the driver and picked up the phone.

"The work is done, boss," The man said.

"Good. Now go from there" Jack said.

"As you say, boss," The man said and disconnected the call then he broke the phone into pieces then he left from there.

"Why are looking so happy? Is there something special?" The woman asked Jack.

"Yes. Something is special" Jack said and got up from bed.

Jack wears his clothes then takes out some money from his wallet and throws them on the girl he just slept with.

"Now go before my wife or daughter come back," Jack said to the woman.

The woman nodded and left from there...

Jack picked up his suit and left the room.

When he came downstairs and saw his lawyer was waiting for him.

"Did you prepare the papers?" Jack asked him

"Yes sir. I have prepared them" The lawyer said and gave him the papers.

Jack took the papers and started reading them.

"Perfect," Jack said after reading the papers.

"Sir, I hope you have closed that Robert's chapter," The lawyer said.

"Oh, yes. His chapter is closed. We don't need to think about him anymore" Jack said.

"Great then. Sir, I have made the papers as we planned" The lawyer said

"I know. I just waiting for the party. After they take her from this country I will declare her dead" Jack said.

"And being her legal guardian you will get her wealth. I just need too two to put everything on your name after you declared her dead" The lawyer said.

"I have been waiting so long for this day. Finally, I am going to get rid of her" Jack said.

"Hope this problem will be solved soon. Sir, I am leaving now" The lawyer said.

When Jack nodded he left from there.

Jack walked towards his study to put the papers in a safe place. He entered his study and put the papers in his locker just then his phone started ringing. Jack took out his phone and saw it was his PA.

Jack picked up the call.

"Is everything ready for the party?" Jack asked him.

"Sir, the party has been canceled," His PA said nervous

"What the hell you are talking about? Are you out of your mind?" Jack asked him with anger.

"Sir, the manager of the hotel just called me and said before of an electricity problem they closed the hotel for tonight. Workers are trying to fix the electricity problem" His PA said.

"This is nonsense. Electricity problem can be solved in few minutes" Jack said.

"Sir, I have told this to the manager but he said the problem is a major problem. It can not be solved in a few minutes" His PA said.

"Hell. Just hell. Now, what should I tell them?" Jack shouted in anger.

"The manager said we can do the party tomorrow," His PA said.

"Hell with this party," Jack said and disconnected the call.

Taking a deep breath, he called one of them.

"Yes"

"Sir, the party has been canceled because there is some problem with the hotel. Can we please do the party tomorrow?" Jack requested him

"Do you think we have enough time to waste, Mr. Anderson? I don't care about this bullshit party. We want the girl tonight itself. Bring her here" He said.

"Okay," Jack said and he disconnected the call.

Jack ran his hand roughly in his hair when his phone started ringing.

Jack looked at his phone and saw it was his wife's ID

Jack picked up the call and spoke up, "Come home. The party has been canceled. I need to hand Elena to them tonight itself"

"Jack, Elena..." Nancy stopped

"Elena what?" Jack asked her

"Elena is missing. She is not here" Nancy said dropping a bomb on Jack's head...
