Chapter 70: Back to him

“Why would I need to come back to you?” Amelia asked once again as she was confused.

She looked around and saw that she was standing in the middle of nowhere. She had a feeling that she had been there for a while but for how long?

‘An hour,’ Amelia muttered to herself. She couldn’t have been here for more than an hour. But what was she doing there?

She felt like she was waiting for someone but the question was who was she waiting for? There was no one in sight at all.

“Did I keep you waiting?” someone suddenly asked from behind her. She turned and found a woman in front of her. Where did she come from? Amelia wondered.

She was about to ask her when she noticed something about the woman. She was dressed in a white flowing gown and her hair was white just like hers when she was in her protector’s form.

The only difference was the fact that her eyes weren't white but it was a normal brown colour.

“You’re a protector?” Amelia asked but it was more of a statement than a question.
