Jade sensed that there was more to his words, so she didn't press him too hard. "Just tell me what's going on."

Speedy swallowed hard before speaking into the phone. "I know who killed Lilith's grandmother."

"What?" Jade tightened her grip on the phone and tensed up. "Who was it?"

"Mac Big told me it was a woman named Neve who hired them to do it. She wanted revenge on Lilith for betraying her."

Jade furrowed her eyebrows. She hadn't expected Neve, who had been missing for days, to still be around, let alone secretly seek revenge on Lilith and cause her grandmother to fall to her death.
