Jade couldn't help but laugh at how indignant Melanie was. "You're saying that now, but I doubt you really mean it."

"Nonsense, that's exactly what I mean. Whether rich or poor, we all live one life—the only difference lies in one's attitude." Melanie surprisingly showed some insight.

It made Jade look at her in a new light. "Well, look at you, all grown up. So, are you willing to break up with Shane?"

Melanie was taken aback, realizing that Jade was setting her up. "You trickster, always trying to trap me. I'm not talking to you anymore."

She briskly walked ahead. Jade followed her and attempted to grab her hand with a playful giggle, only to be gently pushed away.

Suddenly, Melanie halted, and Jade glanced at her, puzzled. Melanie nodded toward the black car ahead and whispered, "Isn't that Caelan's car?"

Jade inspected it and nodded. "What's he doing here?"

The car door swung open, and Samuel approached them, smiling. "Mr. Fitzgerald has been expecting you. Please, come in."
