"You got the money. Now, get lost!" Cooper barked, snapping the two men out of their stupor.

They regained their senses and quickly drove away.

"Dealing with petty people and women is no easy task," Cooper muttered, feeling a sense of relief mixed with lingering fear.

If he had really provoked Jade, his fate would probably have been even more miserable.

"Let me take you home," Cooper offered, still shaken by what had just happened. He didn't dare to let Jade go home alone after all that.

It was getting late, and Jade was tired, so she got onto Cooper's motorcycle without objection.

They sped through the streets until they reached Jade's residence.
