CHAPTER-4 [The Clone]

                             15YRS AGO 

                      LOCATION: ROCHESTER CITY

"Are you sure my son will be alright after the experiment?" Mr Smith, who was a bit scared, asked the other doctors.

Mr Smith had been a doctor right from his youth days. He had been doing some experiments in his lab using the Lysogenic Cycle Virus. He wants to try and see how humans can perform some unimaginable abilities. He had done many for years but all failed. He shared his idea with his friends and they all brought forth their ideas which made them discover Lysogenic Cycle Virus 1 (LCV 1)

"This is my life... So also my son is. I don't want to lose both" Mr Smith said with a concerned countenance and the other doctors laughed.

"Don't worry Smith, nothing will happen to Dave" Mr Brown, who was also one of the doctors said and Mr Smith was a bit relieved.

Mr Smith sacrificed his one and only child for the experiment,  they did it and the little boy never woke up. Mr Smith cried, He almost destroyed all that he had worked for. Little Dave later woke up from the coma after a month and discovered he can replicate himself.

                   BACK TO THE PRESENT 

"Dave. Dave..." his mum Mrs Smith, called him, obstructing his view.

"Yes, mum" he answered, looking at his mum.

" Is there anything bothering you? Have been calling, but you look bothered" his mum said

"Nothing mum, I was just thinking about what happened to me 15yrs ago. You know it kind of sounds weird". Dave said and his mum sighs.

"Dave, I already told you to get over the past." his mum said, sitting beside him with a motherly smile

"Mum, you know, have been consistently having this nightmare of me being in a team with a guy. He looks more powerful and has different kinds of powers" Dave said and his mum gasped out in shock.

"Dave everything happens for a reason. You being able to replicate yourself is for a reason, and your nightmare about a guy you've never met before also has a purpose. Maybe the guy is out there waiting for you" Mrs Smith said but they were interrupted with the breaking news.

"Doctor Smith lab is being invaded right now, we've come to know that those who came to invade the lab are not ordinary humans but some kind of different creatures,  the armed forces have gone there to make sure those deadly creatures do not get to steal something important". The broadcaster said Dave ran out of the building but was astonished to meet Susannah outside.

"Let's go," she said and Dave was surprised. Before he could utter anything, they're already in his father's lab.

"What just happened?" Dave asked her with a confused look on his face while she smiles

"We are going to talk later," Susannah replied, moving an inch away from him.

                LOCATION: NEW ROCHELLE CITY

The news of Mr Smith lab being robbed has gotten to New Rochelle city. Mr Richard and his family were eating their breakfast when they saw the news.

"Dad look, those guys are wolves," Ella said to her dad as they were still eating

"We need to help those people before those wolves hurt them," Carson said, dropping his spoon and Eddie sped in.

"Oh my God, did you just run at the speed of lightning?" Ella and Carson said at once with their mouths opened.

"No need for that now, we need to get down to Rochester before those wolves hurt more innocent people," Eddie said and a smile was embedded on Mr Richard's face.

"How are we going to get there?" Ella asked

"Don't worry, Eddie will get you guys there" Ella's mum replied and the twins fixed their gaze on Eddie with confusion written all over their faces.

"We need to save them," Eddie said

and picked up the twins

"wait.....let's finish our break....." the twins couldn't finish their statement before Eddie sped out with them. Mr Smith and his wife couldn't stop laughing. 

                       LOCATION: ROCHESTER CITY

The Armed forces which the state had sent to fight the wolves had been killed. None was left alive, and the wolves' main aim of robbing the lab was still unknown to the citizens

"Je te maudis de te transformer en pierre." Susannah cast a spell on the two wolves running towards her and they were transformed into small stones.

Dave on the other side has replicated himself into three,  fighting the wolves, the wolves were too much for him, One of the wolves flew from behind, grabbed him and threw him away and he hit Susannah, both of them fell on the ground and his other duplicates merged back with him. The wolves were close enough to devour them when Eddie, Ella, and Carson sped in.  The lightning they brought in blasted the wolves away.

Carson changed into a werewolf immediately while Ella brought out her claws and went after them. Eddie walked up to Dave and Susannah, he took their hands and pulled them up while they both kept staring at him.

"You came just in time," Dave said and Eddie smiled

"Yeah, let's go kick their butts," Eddie said and the three of them went to destroy the wolves.

They defeated the wolves but from the look of the situation,  it seemed like the wolves had succeeded in what they came for because some ran away.

"Wow...what a great fight," Carson said, smiling but Susannah's and Dave's gaze never left Eddie, they kept on looking at him.

"You are the one" Susannah finally said with her gaze still fixed on him. Ella noticed it then placed her hand across Eddie's waist.

"You're the guy who had been invading my night," Dave said and introduced himself to them.

"I'm Susannah by name, A white witch and am on a mission to find you, luckily you're here," Susannah said and bowed her head. They introduced themselves to each other.

"No time guys...we need to start preparing. Our enemies are already ready" 

Eddie said for the first time and removed Ella's hand which was across his waist.

                LOCATION: NEW ROCHELLE CITY

The five of them sat down talking and laughing when Mr Richard came in.

"Look who we have here, Dave is now a big boy." He said which made Dave a bit confused

"Don't worry son, your Dad and I were close friends before I left Rochester." Mr Richard said and Dave sighs.

"I love what you guys did out there. Your journey has just begun. You've all been chosen to bring balance to the world, and you need to work as a team to achieve it. Eddie is your leader, you'll respect him and watch over his back because he's the main target. You also should watch over your team. And always remember, no one can defeat you guys when you work as a team" Mr Richard said with a voice of finality, trying his best to encourage them.

"Thank you, sir," they all replied.

"Can I see you for a minute," Dave said to Eddie and they both went outside.

                  WOLVES CAMP 

"Did you get the device?." Their leader said and they shook their heads in a negative way. 

"What happened?" he asked again.

"We were attacked by some teens at the lab, but we were able to take the device, but were later attacked by some Lycans who took the device from us," One of the wolves said. and their leader became furious to the extent of killing all of them.

                   LYCANS CAMP 

"Let's see who is going to survive this battle, initiate the device," Tony said and the device was initiated.

" The battle has just begun," he said again laughing sarcastically.
