Chapter 4

Savannah's Pov

"Come on already, I'm starving!" Megan groaned in front of my desk, holding her stomach.

It's lunch break, but I have some work to clear up before going for lunch. My laptop being shut out of nowhere got me startled, I looked up to see it was Megan.

"What was that for?"

"You can finish that up once we are back from lunch. Now grab your things, let's go." She stated.

This friend of mine can't live a minute without food.

I had no choice but to pack up the files that looked so messed up on my desk, and place them in order. My phone ringing got my attention, I picked it up to see the caller ID.

My heart skipped when I saw Nolan calling. He's calling! That means he has heard about our wedding and must be so happy about it!

"Why are you blushing instead of picking the call? Who is that?" Megan asked, trying to see who it was.

"Stop being so nosey now." I said, standing up and walking few feets away from her.

Taking a deep breath, I picked the call.

"Sava?"

My heart raced on hearing my name from his mouth. It has this beautiful sensation it sends to me each time he calls my name like that.

"Sava, are you there?" His voice came again, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Ye..Yes, Nolan?" I replied, trying to control my racing heart.

"Where are you?"

"Office, why?"

"Can we meet?" He asked.

He wants to talk, which means he knows about our marriage now!

"Can we?" His voice brought me out of my thoughts again.

"Ye…Yes. But are you back?" I asked.

I do not want him to know that I’m aware that he's around, I plan to make him feel guilty for not informing me that he's around.

"Yes.."

"And you didn't inform me?" I asked, trying to sound upset.

"Let's see and I'll explain everything to you. Meet me up at our usual cafe." He said and ended the call.

I've been dreaming of this day, the day that I'll finally share my feelings with him without holding back. The universe has given me the perfect moment for this, thank you universe!

Coming down from my car, I made my way into the cafe where Nolan is waiting for me. Lucky enough the place wasn't much crowded, so I was able to sight Nolan.

Seeing him just made my face heated up, and my heart raced so much.

Oh God help me and this crazy love of mine.

I made my way towards Nolan, with every step I took made my heart race. Finally getting to his table, I took my seat.

"What took you so long? I thought you wouldn't come." He said with a frown.

He is so cute, even when he's upset.

"Sorry, the traffic was a bit terrible, plus I had to settle a friend of mine. Just forget about it, why didn't you tell me you were in town?" I attacked him.

"I just got in yesterday, and it wasn't by my will that I’m here." He said.

"What do you mean it wasn't by your will to be here?"

"Father called me up, he said he had something important to discuss with me."

Their discussion must be about our wedding.

"What discussion is that? Are you and father finally tagging on well?" I asked, curious.

I know about Nolan and his father's bad chemistry since high school, I hope they could get along some day.

"I wish it was for that reason." He said, rolling his eyes.

"What reason was it then?" I asked, curious.

My heart is pounding so fast to hear what I know he wants to say.

"Marriage. He said he wants us to get married." He said.

He knows!

"You are aware of it, right?" He asked.

"Not really, mother just told me about it last night." I said, looking down at my playing fingers.

I really can't look up at him right now, I know I’m blushing so much. I can't even stop the way my heart's racing.

"And you accepted it?" He asked, sounding curious.

He must think I didn't accept it.

"Yes…I mean, I don't see anything bad in it." I said with a shrug, still not being able to meet his gaze.

"What? You don't see anything wrong with it?" He half yelled.

I looked up at him, wanting to know the reason for this sudden outburst. He doesn't look happy like I expected he would be.

He doesn't want this marriage?

"What do you mean?" I asked, curious.

"Don't take me wrong, but I don't think either of us are ready for that journey. You still have school to run, and I don't want your attention to be divided from that. Plus, I need to establish myself before thinking about anything related to marriage." He explained in one breath.

He is just concerned about me and my studies, how cute! I'll be so lucky to have him as my life partner.

I wonder how he will react when I tell him about my feelings? I think this is my moment, I can't wait any longer.

"I do understand, but I’m rounding up with school. So it won't be much of a problem to me. And about establishing yourself, we can do that together." I said, trying to compose my confession.

"What?" Nolan blurted out.

I think he's surprised about my reply, now I have to confess my feelings.

"Nolan. I've never said this before, but I want to say it now. I am so glad about this alliance, I’ve had countless dreams of wanting to spend the rest of my life by your side and it's coming true.."

"What are you saying?" He asked, looking confused.

He still doesn't get it!

"What I’m trying to say is this, I love you Nolan. I've loved you from the day I got to know what love's all about. I've been scared to say it out all these years, but with what's happening now...I can't hold in this feeling anymore." I said in one breathe, my heart pounding so loud in my chest.

Nolan just stared at me like he has seen a ghost, he didn't even utter a word. Did my confession render him speechless?

Nolan's Pov

"Nolan. I've never said this before, but I want to say it now. I am so glad about this alliance, I have had countless dreams of wanting to spend the rest of my life by your side and it's coming true."

"What are you saying?" I asked, confused.

What in heaven's name is she blabbing about?

"What I’m trying to say is this. I love you Nolan, I've loved you from the day I got to know what love's all about. I've been scared to say it all these years, but with what's happening now...I can't hold in this feeling anymore." She said in one breathe.

I stared at her in complete shock. She's in love with me? Always have? How can she be in love with a player like me? Is she crazy?

Obviously!

Now I’m stucked. Since she's clearly in love with me, i can't change her mind about this marriage. What should I do now? I don't even feel the same way for her.

I can't even tell her that I don't feel the same way, she would be heartbroken and I can't see her heartbroken because of me.

What should I do?

I am really fucked!

What do Sava see in me that she had to fall in love with me?

I know she can be foolish at times, but I didn't know she could actually be more foolish than I expected.

Who falls in love with a player like me?

I didn't even know what to say, I just had to lie to her that Nate was calling me.

Oh dear God, save me and solve this situation.

I got into my bed and under the duvet, maybe a good night's sleep will help me come up with a great idea by morning.

Savannah's Pov

I came out of my bathroom, wiping my wet hair with my towel. I couldn't help but smile like some idiot whenever I recall my love confession to Nolan. After all these years, I finally confessed my love to him today!

But it was quite strange that he didn't say anything about it, or confessed his to me. Maybe he was just so surprised. Well, it will give him all the courage he needs to go on with this marriage!

I am so happy!

I need to tell Paisley about everything, I know she’ll be so happy too!

Jumping into my bed and grabbing my laptop, I opened it and quickly logged into Skype. I called her, it rang a few times but she didn't pick up. I tried it a couple of times but there was still no response from her, I guess she's busy.

Oh well, I can tell her some other time. I’m just so happy that my dreams are finally coming true! Now I can sleep peacefully. I can also see our wedding ceremony in my dreams this time.

I’m so crazy!

I love you Nolan, and I'll keep loving you forever..

Nathan's Pov

Nolan didn't come over to my room last night to tell me about the outcome of his meeting with Savannah. Did it go well?

I guess it went well, that's why he didn't bother seeing me last night. Whenever he's in trouble he comes running to me, but once it's solved for him. He totally forgets about me.

Typical Nolan.

It's actually a relief if all went well. But I'm a bit curious about what Nolan discussed with Savannah. Should I call her and ask her about it?

Nah. That won't settle well.

Knock!

Who could that be so early in the morning?

Knock!

"Come in!" I yelled, putting on my shirt for my morning jog.

The door went open and Nolan walked in, looking all sad. It's quite unlike him to knock before entering my room. Usually he just barges into my room like it's his, which is his in a way.

Twinny stuff.

"What's up with you and your mood today?" I asked.

He sat on my bed with his head bowed, he must be really sad.

"Didn't you and Savannah solve the problem?" I asked, making my way to him.

"I wish." He said sadly.

Which means it didn't go well?

"What happened?" I asked, sitting beside him.

"I spoke to Sava and tried to talk her out of the marriage thing, she then picks the perfect moment to pour out her feelings to me." Nolan said, sounding a bit pissed.

Feelings?

Did she do what I think she did?

"What do you mean about Savannah and her feelings?" I asked, wanting to know more.

"She said she's in love with me." Nolan blurted out in irritation.

So she finally had the courage to confess her long time love to him, but he didn't seem to accept her love. I wonder what he told her.

"You don't seem surprised." Nolan asked, taking me by surprise.

I can't let him find out I knew about her feelings for him before now.

"Me? No, I’m totally surprised."

"No you're not! You knew she had feelings for me and you didn't tell me?" He asked, sounding pissed.

"It wasn't in my position to tell you that." I said with a shrug.

"But you should have warned her that I’m not the type that believes in something as stupid as love." He said in clear irritation.

Yeah, I forgot that Nolan and love ain't compatible.

"Love isn't stupid, Nolan. It's beautiful, amazing and breathtaking…"

"...which I don't care about!"

Sometimes I wonder why God made us twins and made our point of views different?
