Three Months Later… It was one of those weekends where both enjoyed each other's company, Stefan worked really hard at whatever he sets his heart to and his business was at the receiving end of it all. Stefan was dedicated and Rella loved that about him and respected him for it. He reminded her of herself when she was volunteering at an orphanage before the heartbreak that brought her home she was dedicated to her work and all those children brightened up her life, she never left a stone unturned to see that everything went smoothly. Even though Stefan and his grandfather don't quite see eye to eye he still has immense respect for the old man and if not for him he never would've met Rella. Never would've crossed paths with her and he never would've married her and even dreamed that such happiness was possible. Rella made him a better person. She made him see that happy ever after wasn't just in fairytales and that one could attain it with the right person. The
Rella's laughter filled the air with her hair flying in the wind. It was exhilarating, riding out here with the weather that was just perfect. It’s been a long time since she'd felt this free. The vast field was stunning to look at with lush green grass spanning the landscape; there was a lake just up ahead glittering in the sunlight it'd be nice to just lie out here on the grass and feel the sun on her skin. She quickly dismounted. "You're really good," Stefan commented as he equally dismounted. "Where did you learn to ride like that?" "I learned to ride when I was seven and I joined the equestrian club in high school." "Come, you must be hungry let's have something to eat." He took her hand and led her to the lake where a blue checked table cloth was spread out on the grass and a picnic basket sat on it.Rella turned to him surprised. "When did you prepare all this?" "Well actually all I did was pack everything into the basket." He told her honestly
"I guess I'll have to say goodbye to my job cause now I'm about to lose it for good." Van muttered as she sat in the car that came to pick them up at the private airstrip. "What was that?" Jake asked as soon as he joined her.She sighed but Jake smiled and took her hand. "I heard you I was just messing with you. Besides you don't have to worry because I already got permission from your boss." Van find that hard to believe. "Don't believe me you can call him if you want." Jake said when she gave him a dubious look. "Fine I believe you." Besides there was no reason for him to lie to her and her heart had been leaping out of happiness the moment he told her they were going on a trip.As they drove through the city Van spied the bold sign which read 'welcome to Bohol' and her eyes rounded in surprise and her jaw dropped. "Bohol?"Jake gave her a sheepish smile. "Surprise! Happy three months anniversary." Van's squeal after that made him j
One of the perks of having a super rich boyfriend is that you'd get to see places and people you never dreamed of seeing and meeting and the downside of having him super hot too was the way the ladies were staring at Jake with stars in their eyes and it reminded Van of the first time she set sights on him and she couldn't blame them for their reaction. He's wealthy and good looking to boot and he was also hers. Van instinctively grabbed a hold of his arm and leaned into him. Jake raised a brow and smiled knowingly but said nothing as they sauntered arm in arm down the Alona beach in Panglao Island, loving the feel of the white powdery sand that stretched across the beach. It seemed like something to do after a day of scuba diving in Balicasag and the Dolphin and Whale watching in Pamilacan Island. There was so much to do with so little time. Van had been scared out of her wits as they got geared up, she'd never been so close to the vast ocean before and definitely n
The walk through the mahogany forest the next day was equally romantic. The forest was man-made and thick with a variety of green foliage and different species of trees and giant ferns lining the road so it appeared like a canopy, it might as well be the boulevard in Paris. They went sightseeing at the famous chocolate hills which was a unique geographical formation that was shaped like a cone and look like mystic mounds. They had lunch in one of the cosy floating restaurants on Loboc river and when the cruise stopped at Busay Falls, they enjoyed a light picnic on an islet surrounded by calming waters. Van had never had so much fun in her life or laughed so loud until her ribs hurt as Jake slipped and fell into the river simply because he was trying to look cool. She would always find herself sighing in content after the day's adventures and each day they made sure to end it with a romantic walk down the beach and watch the sunset. It was all surreal that Van wished never to
"You look so beautiful." Rella said as Van came out of the fitting room in a lacy white gown with a sweetheart neckline going past her ankle. "My gosh I'm so nervous."Van laughed shakily as she came to stand in front of the floor length mirror to get a good look at her dress. Everything was moving so fast it was overwhelming but the joy she felt in her heart was overflowing as well it was a good feeling overall and Van couldn't think of a perfect time to marry the man of her dreams. "We all went through that it's only wedding jitters you'll get over it." The sales lady told her. "Van I agree." Rella said. "You just need to focus on being the most beautiful bride ever." Van couldn't help the smile that stretched her lips. She has everyone who loves her by her side and all the support was making tear up but then she remembered Rella's wedding, how her friend must've felt so alone and afraid to be put in such a tight spot by her family. All in
Jake's side of the bed was empty when Van woke up the next morning. She wasn't dreaming was she? The wedding dress, the wedding ceremony…they weren't all a dream right? It all felt like a dream but their clothes strewn on the floor beside the bed told her it was very much real. Van wondered where her husband–it felt so good to be able to call him her husband–could've gone so early in the morning? She got out of bed and went to part the curtains on the window when she saw him in the gazebo. She smiled affectionately then went to get dressed so she could join him. Jake ran agitated fingers through his hair as he paced about the gazebo. So many thoughts were running amok in his mind he felt like he was going crazy. All the joy and happiness he was feeling was making him sick because he knew he'd never be at peace until he was able to come clean and tell Van the whole truth. He'd thought that once they were married everything will become easy but he had
"He's still out there sis," Van’s brother informed her as he craned his neck to look outside. Van ignored the twinge of guilt that was crawling its way to her heart she didn't make him decide to stand outside all evening while the rain fell in heavy pelts so whatever happens to him is not her fault. You know that the only way to make him leave is to talk to him. A tiny voice at the back of her mind told her but Van wasn't in the mood to listen to anything Jake Calloway has to say, she was done being an idiot.Karl clicked his tongue, "it's been over two hours and he's just standing there like a statue, do you want me to make him go away?" Van's eyes landed on his bruised knuckles which he got from punching Jake and she didn't want a repeat of what happened in Bohol. Things got so ugly that Stefan and his friends had to pry Karl off of Jake and the idiot just lie there while he was kicked around like a ragdoll. "No, ignore him he'll leave when he realises he's wasting his time
