NADIA’S POV
My face went pale, and I felt horrified. My heart broke into one piece, because I wondered what pain my father went through for him to have threatened to end his life.
“Make a stop at the next bus-stop.” I instructed him in haste.
“Alright, ma’am.”
As soon as we got to the next bus-stop, I got out of the car, and my guards walked out with me.
“This time, just go back home. I have an important place to go to, and you both going with me, could pose threats.” I spoke up, and hurriedly left them to hail a cab.
Since I was going to my father’s house, it could spike up curiosity in those guards, and even the driver. And again, it’s to protect them from having to lie to Will. I hailed a cab, and was driven off to my father’s home.
As soon as I got there, I paid the driver, and stared at our house. Memori
NADIA’S POVMy eyelids slowly opened, and uncovered the scene I was in. I was in my room in my father’s home, and just like the sitting room, and dining, nothing had been made to change the interior of my room. My eyes wandered around the drawings I had made on the walls, and scrapings I had done on the wooden wardrobe, and my bedside drawer.Whoever sees this would think that I had a memorable childhood, but it was the opposite. I did this whenever I was mistreated, and missed my mom. I slowly sat up, and the first thing I felt was a serious headache. My head felt heavy like I had drunk too much alcohol. Then my mind wandered to Nina. Definitely, Nina spiked my drink. What was she up to? I turned the bed cover away from my body, and saw I was dressed, and then I checked my body to be sure she had not done something to me, but there was no sign of any illegal thing, done to me.Even at th
ALPHA WILL’S POVI was so excited to go home to Nadia, and I was near home already, but I decided not to inform her so as to surprise her.“You look so excited to see your wife. I have never seen this kind of love you have for her.” Uncle Thompson said, with a chuckle.“I know right? She is just the perfect woman for me.” I replied, with a smile.I could imagine how happy she would be, when she sees me at home. As soon as I got home, my driver pulled up near the front porch, and I got down from the car.But as Uncle Thompson and I, got down from the car, I noticed Nina walking up to me like she had been waiting for me to get here, all along.“Nina, what are you doing here? I thought I told you I don’t want to see you near my home.” I shot those words at her like I was shooting lasers.“I know. But I came here to show you something rea
NADIA’S POVI couldn’t believe my eyes, and felt my heart break into pieces. This was clearly Nina’s doing, and the day which she lured me to our parents’ home, I bet this was what she did. I didn’t know what to say, about the photo because that was truly me. There was no way or proof I could use to let Will know that I was set up.I turned around to go to Will because I knew he would be in his study. At least, if he was able to speak to me, one on one, he could be lenient, and I may be able to convince him that it’s all a set-up. But Uncle Thompson appeared, and blocked me with his presence.“I want to see Will. This all a set-up.” I said, with pleading eyes.“I’m sorry, Luna. You can’t see him as he doesn’t want to see anyone, for now. Also, whatever you’ll like to say to defend yourself will only be heard and welcomed once you are called, for a mee
NINA’S POVI twirled in my sitting room, and poured myself a glass of wine.“Oh, Nina. You did such a great job.” I complimented myself, and sipped my wine, feeling really proud. That was really a master plan. I had totally wrecked Nadia’s life, and while she isn’t dead, at least, I’m sure that her life with Will is finally over. All my years of hard work against Nadia, starting from when we were younger, finally paid out.It always seemed like Nadia would always get out of whatever net I put her in, but this time, I really made sure that she was caught up in my net, never to be released again. I laughed out loud, and anyone who heard me right now, was going to think that I went crazy.I sat down on my couch, and crossed my legs. I remember sending a few people to help me get rid of Nadia, but none of them was able to get rid of her finally, including Penelo
NADIA’S POVI was sent back to my room without asking further questions from me, neither did they allow me to speak. If I had spoken at that moment, the chance to speak again might be held from me, and that could mean a quick decision on my case, which would obviously not be in my favor.I crouched down to the floor, beside the foot of the bed, and tears strolled down my eyes. I couldn’t help it, but my tears were flowing down like a long thin line of endless stream. I wished I could convince Will that all these wasn’t true, but even Will would not sleep on our matrimonial bed, talk less of coming in to take something.I wasn’t blaming him for believing all these. After all, the evidences that were laid against me, were so strong, and believable. If I lost my memory, and they showed me that letter, and photo, I would think I did it, but would still wonder if I truly did it.Bu
ALPHA WILL’S POV“Alpha Will, considering the evidences against her, I hope you know that this is a serious case, especially because it is the Luna who committed such act?” One of the council members spoke up.“Exactly. Her position doesn’t mean the rule will be defied. She has to face the consequences of cheating, and you shouldn’t waste time, making a decision.” Another added, and folded his arms.It was quite annoying that they all stood on the fact that I had to punish her according to the law. Not even a single atom of empathy, or sort. They all complimented Nadia once, for being a really good woman, and here they were, acting like she was some sort of criminal.Although, the evidence against Nadia was quite glaring, and there was no sign of tweaks in it, neither was there any vivid proof against such accusation laid against her. This made me feel more resent towards
ALPHA WILL’S POV“And why do you think something was tweaked in this case?” I questioned, now looking at him with keen interest.“I’ve worked as Luna Nadia’s guard for quite some time now, and I have seen the kind of person she is. There is no way she would have been able to do such a thing. She is always eager to see you. So, I feel she must have been framed.”I let out a deep sigh. I was the one meant to say that, but my hands were tied, especially as it was a case involving the pack council. If one judged from Nadia’s past actions, one would be fully convinced that she could have been framed up perfectly, but it isn’t a decision only I can make.“I appreciate your concern, but there’s nothing I can do about this, unless she is able to prove herself innocent. We can’t judge, based on past actions. This is a current action, and one that
NADIA’S POVFear gripped me as I couldn’t see myself, with a decision, favoring me. If the pack council were this irritated by me, especially as I had nothing to back me, then I can’t have high hopes that Will would do something to help me.“I understand that it feels we aren’t getting anywhere with this meeting, from her side, but I feel we should give her a chance to sought for her alibi, or any strong evidence she can use to prove that the allegations against her isn’t true.” Will spoke out, and I felt hope, bloom in my heart.“Hmm. Your suggestion is quite nice, Alpha Will. It also shows you’re being impartial. So, how is this chance going to play out?” A prominent member of the pack council asked as he squinted his eyes like he was using his eyes to hear things.“I would give her until evening to leave this house, and find out what proof she can bring up to show that thes
NADIA'S POV.I walked back to the restaurant, smiling and greeting anyone who made eye contact with me. My joy was over the top. I couldn't help but express my happiness. It was a burning cauldron inside of him. When I got back to the restaurant, Titan and Anna were still talking, and laughing. It felt like they'd known each other for some time.I walked into the restaurant, and made my way towards them."Jeez, Alpha Titan was just telling me a funny joke. If you hear it, you'll burst into laughter." Anna said, vibrating with laughter."Okay… what's it?" I asked."Now, listen well. A duck, and a frog…" he began, and I paid attention, but by the time he was done, I burst into a shrill laughter I had fueled myself instead of Titan's joke.Anna had definitely fallen for Tit
NADIA'S POV.The next day, I went to Anna's room, and saw her scrolling through her phone, while she lay on the bed, with her back turned upwards."Hey." I called, with a smile, closing her door, and going to join her on the bed."Hey hey." She replied cheerfully, turning over, so her back was on the bed."What are you so engrossed in?" I asked, snatching her phone, and saw she was staring at the photo of a handsome young man."Woah. He's cool." I said, and she chuckled."Are married women allowed to say that?" She asked, and I laughed."What's wrong with appreciating beauty? You were doing the same thing, too." I shot back, passing her phone back to her, and she grinned."You know… there's actually someone who's as handsome as this. Maybe more." She said, biting the nail on her thumb.
NADIA’S POVThat night, I felt so good and relieved while I was on the bed with Will. To think that in the last few hours, I felt so depressed, and heartbroken. I didn’t know how I could live with the fact that Nina was going to die, and I wouldn’t see or hear of her anymore. No, it was best for her to be given the chance to atone for her sins, at least. And as her family member, I was the only one who could plead for her or make her freedom from death, happen. Will walked out of the bathroom, and cleaned his hair with his towel.“I hope you’re now satisfied, Nadia?” He asked, with a charming smile.I loved the atmosphere around. It was a light, and happy one. At least, our enemy was gone now, and we had given her a judgement that wouldn’t burden anyone. The only thing I hoped for was that she would learn her lessons, and turn a new leaf.
NADIA’S POV“Nadia, you need to stop brooding about this. It’s been two days now, and you aren’t eating as you ought to. All because of your half-sister who wouldn’t bat an eye if you were the one in that shoe?” Anna complained as she sat before me in the living room. She was right. Nina wouldn’t bat an eye if I were the one whose punishment was death. In fact, she would be happy that I was going to be killed, and therefore be out of this world, and her way of getting who she wanted, which was Will. But then, I wasn’t her. This is me, and I can’t bring myself to accept Will’s judgement. In fact, it was seeming more like Will had done something to ensure my calls wouldn’t get to him. Even Tristan wasn’t answering my calls, and it was certain it was on Will’s order, so I can’t blame him.I couldn’t even get angry
ALPHA WILL’S POVAs soon as we got to Los Angeles, I checked my wristwatch, and noticed I still had time, and I could even get to the hotel before the client I’m meant to see, arrives.I wasn’t meant to come out for anything regarding business because I had a lot going on which I had to settle, but this was really important. It was about a contract which we had once signed, but there was something that needed to be changed in some of the terms and conditions, and my presence and signature was needed before it could be processed.Well, it was also a good distraction to take my mind off the fact that I had ordered the guards to behead Nina. That was the most suitable punishment for her. In fact, if there was any other punishment worse than death, I would give it to her.She had made me feel a bit less of an Alpha because of the way she managed to play me, and made
NADIA’S POVIt had been two days since Will stayed in his study, thinking of the perfect punishment to give Nina. Although, he allowed me in whenever I wanted to check up on him, but he didn’t come to sleep in the room. He ate, drank and did everything in his study. He had said that it was until he thought of the perfect punishment that he would find himself worthy to sleep by my side, and do things with me. Although, I understood how bad he still felt when he found out that I was framed, and then he turned his back against me when the world did. It was more like he was beating himself up, and several times, I had told him I had forgiven him, and it was fine.Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to be with me.“Will, it’s time you stop beating yourself up on this. Her being in the dungeon is enough punishment for the atrocities she has caused.” I said to him as I looked
NINA’S POVWho would have ever thought that I would end up in a dungeon, in my life? Worse, a dungeon in a place where I have ruled as a Luna. Where I have been respected, and revered. Much worse, my mom was also with me in this dungeon.I could imagine my father shaking his head in disappointment at us. I didn’t listen to him when he pleaded for me to let go of the grudge I had on Nadia. But then, why did Nadia always have to pose as a threat to whatever I desire, or have?It wasn’t my fault that I tried several times to eliminate her. She had always made me uncomfortable, and I can’t keep on living in discomfort every single time. The dungeon was cold, and I stuck so close to the wall, wrapping my arms around my crouched knees. It was a bit dark, and spooky, making it certain that there could be spiders and some creepy crawlies. The thought that things that I h
ALPHA WILL’S POVI couldn’t believe my ears. So, all this while, I was being played by Nina, and she had her way at each stage she planned. It was so unbelievable that she could outsmart me, myself. How could all these happen, and I had no suspicion about this?It was so embarrassing as the memory of the time when Nadia was brought out to the meeting hall and was being interrogated, but nothing worked in her favor- came to my mind. Nadia had pleaded for me to believe her; although, she had no proof, but then, I ought to have been lenient. So, I played Nina’s pawn, and made my lover suffer all for nothing, and alone, all by herself. Anger filled me up like when water fills up a bucket to the brim. I got so furious that if it were possible, fire was going to flare out of my head, showing how dangerously angry I was.I slammed my hand on the table as I rose to my feet with a frown on m
NADIA’S POVSeeing as Nina was back, it was best to strike before she went out again. Judging from the past ways which Nina has worked, it was evident that she was the fast and smart type. Definitely, she was going to start planning something as she got home. So, it’s best for me to be faster and smarter, or I won’t know when all that I have planned would go down the drain, and she would again, win against me. As I woke the next morning, I immediately went to Will’s study as that must have been where he was, currently. If he was in his matrimonial bedroom, it would have been obvious. It’s either I hear him speaking out in anger to Nina, or he would barge out of the room. So, none of that happened for almost half an hour, last night. As I got to his study, I pushed open the door since it was slightly open, and I was met with his curious expression.&l
