ALPHA WILL'S POV
This was the same tactic which the person who sent me a letter, used. It was anonymous. But the content of the letter was what set them apart.
They certainly can't be one person. The one who sent me a letter sounded like he or she wanted to help me out and telling me that I may have misunderstood Nadia shows that he or she didn't mind if Nadia and I got back together.
While the other person who sent this letter to Isabella warned her to back off from me. The only thing I could deduce from this letter was that the sender was a woman.
I pulled her closer to me, and patted her. Even if I truly didn't see her as a woman, I didn't want it to be too obvious either way.
“I understand how scary this can be. And in fact, you shouldn't run from me all because of the letter. Everything will be fine. I'll make sure of that.” I assured her, and then she nodd
NINA'S POV“Oh, my. This is so sweet.” I chuckled, and laughed out loud after I ended my call with Michael. The job was done smoothly, and it was even difficult to drive her away. Thank you Isabella for making Michael's work easy and simple, which is really beneficial for me.“I am a pro. I know that.” I said to myself and covered my face, feeling elated. Now, for a news as good and positive as this, it should denote a wine time. I rose to my feet, and walked towards my wine shelf while dancing, each step I took.I picked a wine bottle from the arrays of other fantastic wine bottles and snatched a wine glass from the cabinet as I walked back to the living room.I let out a satisfied sigh as I placed the bottle on the table, and then sat on the chair like a queen. Now, what was next for me to do was to
NINA'S POVI immediately changed the direction of my hand to an expensive ball pen he had on his table, and then turned to him with a smile which I knew came out awkwardly.“This ball pen is really an expensive one. From which artisan did you get this?” I asked, trying to wave off the awkwardness that was brewing in.But Will didn't say a word like he was expecting a different response from me, then I chuckled nervously.“I… I came to check up on you. Don't you remember what happened last night?” I questioned as I drifted away from his office desk.“Oh, yeah. Thanks for last night.” Will appreciated me, and those words seemed like golden words to me because to hear such from him was more like getting a well done from him.“It's my pleasure. So, how are you feeling now?” I asked, out of conce
WILL'S POVAfter my meeting with Mrs. Wilson, I got back to going through some projects done by my representatives. In the middle of doing that, a knock came on my door and I glanced towards the door with my ball pen trapped in between my index and middle finger.“Come in, please.” I urged as I finally focused on whoever was about to come in.“Good day, Alpha Will. I'm Mr. Thompson, a representative of New Dawn Tech.” He introduced himself as he came closer.“Oh, please have a seat.” I offered him, gesturing with my hand as I joined him on the couch opposite the sofa he was sitting on.I didn't want to see them actually because I wasn't interested in securing a deal with them anymore.Nadia was the initial reason I wanted to invest in them, but seeing them now, reminded me of Nadia a
ALPHA WILL'S POV“How can that be possible! What happened?” I demanded for an explanation.“We really do not understand, but with what we noticed, it seems to us like she just gave up. We can't really explain.”“I'll be on my way now.” I said, and hung up the call.Tristan rose to his feet, looking baffled and curious.“What's going on, Alpha?” He asked, out of concern.“I just got a call from an hospital that Penelope is dead.”“What! Luna Nadia's best friend?” He exclaimed in shock.“Yes. Come on, let's head out to the hospital.” I urged him as I picked up my car key.Tristan and I hurried out of the office and took the elevator down to the reception and got into the car. I had told my driver
NINA'S POVThe slow music which played in my living room, soothed me and made me feel happier. Then I rose to my feet, with my glass of wine in my right hand and began to dance slowly, alone.I twirled and chuckled in a low tone, then walked back to the center table and poured more wine into my wine glass.I resumed dancing and while dancing, I looked towards the night sky through my open window, and smiled. The moon goddess blessed me with wits and I really don't know how to appreciate her for the luck she shoved my way.In Penelope's next life, she'll ensure to steer clear from anything pertaining to me.Feeling a little exhausted with my neck seeming slippery from all the sweats that had destroyed the lotion I applied there, I sat back on the couch. Finally, all obstacles coming in between Will and I are all
WILL'S POVIt was more like Nina was trying to use this situation to get closer to me, but unfortunately, I wasn't interested in having anything to do with her.The moment she left my office, I felt a bit better as her presence has never been something I love or could tolerate since the day she left absconded when we were meant to be married.I continued my work and managed to sign all papers I was meant to sign, and decided to leave work earlier than usual.Staying at work and burying my head in work wasn't helping terms, so it's best to try something different.I walked out of the office and took the stairs down instead, so I could occupy my mind with it than my thoughts drifting off to the sad experiences I have had recently. It seemed as if I rushed down the stairs because I didn't know when I got to the bottom of the stairs in no time
NINA'S POV“What did you just say?” I questioned to confirm if I just heard right.“I said I sent him a note telling him all his nemesis have been cleared.” Michael repeated.“What! Have you lost your senses! Why did you send him a note when I didn't ask you to?” I lashed out on him, and even the sun that shone right at my face while I was at the front porch, got me cranked up, more.“I… I just thought it could clear away any suspiciousness from you totally. More like the last thing needed to complete things.” He explained respectfully.“Oh, shut up! If I do not ask you to do something, don't bother. I know what's best and will only ask for your opinion or suggestions when I can't think of anything.”“I apologize, boss. Please forgive me.”&
ALPHA WILL'S POVMy eyes slowly opened and I stared at the ceiling for a while. My body was feeling so relaxed and cool unlike other days when I just felt neutral. Then I felt someone place an arm on my chest and I almost jumped down from bed, shocked and baffled on who slept beside me on my bed.But as I looked sharply beside me, I noticed Nina chewing moving her lips like she was eating something in her dream. What is going on? Am I perhaps dreaming? If I am, what weird dream is this?I squeezed my cheek with my fingertip and I could feel the pain which I wouldn't feel if I was dreaming.Hope it isn't what I'm thinking? I pulled the bed cover away from myself and my eyes widened in shock as I stared at my nakedness.I felt furious instantly, like a surge of anger was waiting to he poured out in a deadly way.
NADIA'S POV.I walked back to the restaurant, smiling and greeting anyone who made eye contact with me. My joy was over the top. I couldn't help but express my happiness. It was a burning cauldron inside of him. When I got back to the restaurant, Titan and Anna were still talking, and laughing. It felt like they'd known each other for some time.I walked into the restaurant, and made my way towards them."Jeez, Alpha Titan was just telling me a funny joke. If you hear it, you'll burst into laughter." Anna said, vibrating with laughter."Okay… what's it?" I asked."Now, listen well. A duck, and a frog…" he began, and I paid attention, but by the time he was done, I burst into a shrill laughter I had fueled myself instead of Titan's joke.Anna had definitely fallen for Tit
NADIA'S POV.The next day, I went to Anna's room, and saw her scrolling through her phone, while she lay on the bed, with her back turned upwards."Hey." I called, with a smile, closing her door, and going to join her on the bed."Hey hey." She replied cheerfully, turning over, so her back was on the bed."What are you so engrossed in?" I asked, snatching her phone, and saw she was staring at the photo of a handsome young man."Woah. He's cool." I said, and she chuckled."Are married women allowed to say that?" She asked, and I laughed."What's wrong with appreciating beauty? You were doing the same thing, too." I shot back, passing her phone back to her, and she grinned."You know… there's actually someone who's as handsome as this. Maybe more." She said, biting the nail on her thumb.
NADIA’S POVThat night, I felt so good and relieved while I was on the bed with Will. To think that in the last few hours, I felt so depressed, and heartbroken. I didn’t know how I could live with the fact that Nina was going to die, and I wouldn’t see or hear of her anymore. No, it was best for her to be given the chance to atone for her sins, at least. And as her family member, I was the only one who could plead for her or make her freedom from death, happen. Will walked out of the bathroom, and cleaned his hair with his towel.“I hope you’re now satisfied, Nadia?” He asked, with a charming smile.I loved the atmosphere around. It was a light, and happy one. At least, our enemy was gone now, and we had given her a judgement that wouldn’t burden anyone. The only thing I hoped for was that she would learn her lessons, and turn a new leaf.
NADIA’S POV“Nadia, you need to stop brooding about this. It’s been two days now, and you aren’t eating as you ought to. All because of your half-sister who wouldn’t bat an eye if you were the one in that shoe?” Anna complained as she sat before me in the living room. She was right. Nina wouldn’t bat an eye if I were the one whose punishment was death. In fact, she would be happy that I was going to be killed, and therefore be out of this world, and her way of getting who she wanted, which was Will. But then, I wasn’t her. This is me, and I can’t bring myself to accept Will’s judgement. In fact, it was seeming more like Will had done something to ensure my calls wouldn’t get to him. Even Tristan wasn’t answering my calls, and it was certain it was on Will’s order, so I can’t blame him.I couldn’t even get angry
ALPHA WILL’S POVAs soon as we got to Los Angeles, I checked my wristwatch, and noticed I still had time, and I could even get to the hotel before the client I’m meant to see, arrives.I wasn’t meant to come out for anything regarding business because I had a lot going on which I had to settle, but this was really important. It was about a contract which we had once signed, but there was something that needed to be changed in some of the terms and conditions, and my presence and signature was needed before it could be processed.Well, it was also a good distraction to take my mind off the fact that I had ordered the guards to behead Nina. That was the most suitable punishment for her. In fact, if there was any other punishment worse than death, I would give it to her.She had made me feel a bit less of an Alpha because of the way she managed to play me, and made
NADIA’S POVIt had been two days since Will stayed in his study, thinking of the perfect punishment to give Nina. Although, he allowed me in whenever I wanted to check up on him, but he didn’t come to sleep in the room. He ate, drank and did everything in his study. He had said that it was until he thought of the perfect punishment that he would find himself worthy to sleep by my side, and do things with me. Although, I understood how bad he still felt when he found out that I was framed, and then he turned his back against me when the world did. It was more like he was beating himself up, and several times, I had told him I had forgiven him, and it was fine.Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to be with me.“Will, it’s time you stop beating yourself up on this. Her being in the dungeon is enough punishment for the atrocities she has caused.” I said to him as I looked
NINA’S POVWho would have ever thought that I would end up in a dungeon, in my life? Worse, a dungeon in a place where I have ruled as a Luna. Where I have been respected, and revered. Much worse, my mom was also with me in this dungeon.I could imagine my father shaking his head in disappointment at us. I didn’t listen to him when he pleaded for me to let go of the grudge I had on Nadia. But then, why did Nadia always have to pose as a threat to whatever I desire, or have?It wasn’t my fault that I tried several times to eliminate her. She had always made me uncomfortable, and I can’t keep on living in discomfort every single time. The dungeon was cold, and I stuck so close to the wall, wrapping my arms around my crouched knees. It was a bit dark, and spooky, making it certain that there could be spiders and some creepy crawlies. The thought that things that I h
ALPHA WILL’S POVI couldn’t believe my ears. So, all this while, I was being played by Nina, and she had her way at each stage she planned. It was so unbelievable that she could outsmart me, myself. How could all these happen, and I had no suspicion about this?It was so embarrassing as the memory of the time when Nadia was brought out to the meeting hall and was being interrogated, but nothing worked in her favor- came to my mind. Nadia had pleaded for me to believe her; although, she had no proof, but then, I ought to have been lenient. So, I played Nina’s pawn, and made my lover suffer all for nothing, and alone, all by herself. Anger filled me up like when water fills up a bucket to the brim. I got so furious that if it were possible, fire was going to flare out of my head, showing how dangerously angry I was.I slammed my hand on the table as I rose to my feet with a frown on m
NADIA’S POVSeeing as Nina was back, it was best to strike before she went out again. Judging from the past ways which Nina has worked, it was evident that she was the fast and smart type. Definitely, she was going to start planning something as she got home. So, it’s best for me to be faster and smarter, or I won’t know when all that I have planned would go down the drain, and she would again, win against me. As I woke the next morning, I immediately went to Will’s study as that must have been where he was, currently. If he was in his matrimonial bedroom, it would have been obvious. It’s either I hear him speaking out in anger to Nina, or he would barge out of the room. So, none of that happened for almost half an hour, last night. As I got to his study, I pushed open the door since it was slightly open, and I was met with his curious expression.&l
