NINA’S POV
I walked out of the company, feeling pained, and embarrassed that he had actually sent me out and that woman happened to hear him lashing out on me. I waved my hand to hail a cab, and the cab slowly stopped before me.
I walked into the cab, and sat down comfortably as I leaned my back against the back seat.
“Ma’am, what song would you like to listen to?” The driver asked politely.
I looked at him in surprise. It had been a while since I came across someone who would care about his service to his passengers. Then I smiled, and leaned towards it.
“Play me any song that lifts spirits.” I said to him with a smile, and leaned back on the car seat.
“Okay, ma’am.”
I sighed, thinking about the embarrassment which Will had caused for me. Probably what I needed to do was to slow down for him, and then gradually take over his
ALPHA WILL'S POV“Make a stop at that wine shop.” I instructed my driver.“Alright, sir.” He responded respectfully, and made a stop at the wine shop.It was bad news and saddening that Nadia was banished by me, and in a cold manner. I needed something that could occupy my mind sometimes.“I'll be back soon.” I said to my driver, and then got down from the car.I let out a sigh as I strode into the wine shop. Hopefully I would find some bottles of wine that are captivating. I walked into the wine shop, and was quite pleased by the interior decorations.“How may I help you sir?” One of the attendants asked as I got closer.“May I see the catalog of all you have here?” I requested politely.“Yes sir. A minute sir.”
WILL'S POVWhat was Nina up to again with this news she brought to me? It left me wondering if I heard right.“What are you trying to insinuate? That Penelope also has a hand in leading Nadia wrong? That she advised her to do all those things?” I asked again to confirm I heard and decoded right.“Yes. I know for sure. They are best friends, and Penelope certainly knows about everything Nadia does, so it is safe to say she knew about this. I can't go into much details, but you have to believe me.”I pondered on it because I had to be sure I was not making a mistake by believing what Nina just said.“So, you're definitely sure about it without proof.”“It's obvious. Penelope is her only best friend. And just when I thought she would be so sad that her best friend was banished, she was acting happier
WILL’S POVThese were threatening words, boldly sent to Nadia. She must have felt so terrified that someone waa watching her close by, and ready to attack her.I was struck with guilt, and sadness. As her mate, I didn't believe her, neither did I try to calm down to listen to help her solve it the way she would have wanted me to.I didn't want to keep imagining how she could have felt, the moment the letter was sent to her. More like she would even feel lonely, despite the fact that I was there, because I didn't believe a word of all these she said.I squeezed the paper in anger, blaming myself for not being attentive enough to believe such. To think that I felt she needed to see a doctor, it must have struck Nadia in the heart. What was even painful was the fact that I could not investigate because there was no trail to it. I didn't even know ho
Chapter 69NINA'S POVI felt joy leap in my heart as Will believed what I said about Penelope. He was still in doubt and he still believed that Nadia hadn't cheated on him but I had planted the seeds and I would watch them growTo hear him wanting to investigate Penelope was a sign that he had taken the matter seriously, and what was even nicer that he took to my advise, agreed to go with my suggestion.Moon goddess, could this be a sign that we'll make a good couple? I doubt Nadia was able to make suggestions that made him listen.Well, I was a better leader, Luna, and woman than Nadia was, so Will deserved someone better like me.Now was the time to step up my plan regarding Penelope since Will had taken the bait, or should I say, given me the vibe to destroy Penelope down to the scalp on her head.I chuckled happily, and walked up to the table, then
PENELOPE'S POVI stared at the night sky, and was missing Nadia badly. I remembered when she would come to my house to play, and then we'll talk about a lot of things. We would sit here in the balcony, trying to count the stars until we got tired. And sometimes, we would sleep off. But my father would carry us in his arms to the bed.I had betrayed my friend just because I wanted to save my father. Now that I thought about it again, there could have been other ways to have gotten the money for my father's medical bills. But I was too blinded by the fact that I needed him to be saved immediately. I feared that my father would die, and I couldn't bear such thought.Still, my actions weren't justified by that. If only I could make up for my wrongs to Nadia, I would.Although, I had destroyed things for her by betraying her, it was still possible to
NINA'S POVRight now, she was the most disgusting person to me, but I had to tread on this path slolwy, and not scare her off to do what could jeopardize all I have worked for, ever.I looked up at her, and smiled.“Why don't you want to take such a good offer?” I asked, trying to find out if there could be any other reason.“Well, as I told you earlier, I want to save the last of my dignity by not collecting things from you anymore.” Penelope responded, and drifted her stare to the left, staring outside like she had something her eyes were feasting on.“But we both know that Nadia is now finished. It would have been reasonable if you were this stubborn about collecting things from me while we were in the middle of ruining Nadia. Currently, there is no dignity left for you to save.”“Whatever it is, I still stan
ALPHA WILL'S POVSecuring a deal with Mark Chen, a very influential business man was something to be proud of but I wasn't happy. As soon as I was done dressing up and picked up all I needed for work, I walked down the stairs, and met Uncle Thompson sitting, and looking prepared to go out.“Are you perhaps going with me to work again?” I asked, surprised he was still interested in going to my company with me.“Of course.” He responded as he stood up.I smiled, and then we both headed out of the house, and got into the car.Soon, we got to the office, and then I sat down on my wheeled office chair, while Uncle Thompson sat in the center which was where I do sit with my visitors.“I want to see you soaring higher, Will. And I'm sure that's a piece of cake for you. You've manage
PENELOPE'S POVIt was night fall, and I was ready to investigate on what had happened to me the night before. There was no way that could be a coincidence. I couldn't believe that I would get to a club, have a drink and start acting crazy all of a sudden.Something was definitely wrong, and I had to get to the root of it by all means. I walked out of the house, and hailed a cab.As soon as I got to the club, a wave of nostalgia hit me, and I also felt a bit embarrassed because some people were staring at me.“Hey girl!” One of them called out to me, and I ignored him.I wasn't myself when I was dancing crazily yesterday. They shouldn't expect me to give them something spectacular to watch today.I walked up to the bartender whose eyes fluttered like he was avoiding something as s
NADIA'S POV.I walked back to the restaurant, smiling and greeting anyone who made eye contact with me. My joy was over the top. I couldn't help but express my happiness. It was a burning cauldron inside of him. When I got back to the restaurant, Titan and Anna were still talking, and laughing. It felt like they'd known each other for some time.I walked into the restaurant, and made my way towards them."Jeez, Alpha Titan was just telling me a funny joke. If you hear it, you'll burst into laughter." Anna said, vibrating with laughter."Okay… what's it?" I asked."Now, listen well. A duck, and a frog…" he began, and I paid attention, but by the time he was done, I burst into a shrill laughter I had fueled myself instead of Titan's joke.Anna had definitely fallen for Tit
NADIA'S POV.The next day, I went to Anna's room, and saw her scrolling through her phone, while she lay on the bed, with her back turned upwards."Hey." I called, with a smile, closing her door, and going to join her on the bed."Hey hey." She replied cheerfully, turning over, so her back was on the bed."What are you so engrossed in?" I asked, snatching her phone, and saw she was staring at the photo of a handsome young man."Woah. He's cool." I said, and she chuckled."Are married women allowed to say that?" She asked, and I laughed."What's wrong with appreciating beauty? You were doing the same thing, too." I shot back, passing her phone back to her, and she grinned."You know… there's actually someone who's as handsome as this. Maybe more." She said, biting the nail on her thumb.
NADIA’S POVThat night, I felt so good and relieved while I was on the bed with Will. To think that in the last few hours, I felt so depressed, and heartbroken. I didn’t know how I could live with the fact that Nina was going to die, and I wouldn’t see or hear of her anymore. No, it was best for her to be given the chance to atone for her sins, at least. And as her family member, I was the only one who could plead for her or make her freedom from death, happen. Will walked out of the bathroom, and cleaned his hair with his towel.“I hope you’re now satisfied, Nadia?” He asked, with a charming smile.I loved the atmosphere around. It was a light, and happy one. At least, our enemy was gone now, and we had given her a judgement that wouldn’t burden anyone. The only thing I hoped for was that she would learn her lessons, and turn a new leaf.
NADIA’S POV“Nadia, you need to stop brooding about this. It’s been two days now, and you aren’t eating as you ought to. All because of your half-sister who wouldn’t bat an eye if you were the one in that shoe?” Anna complained as she sat before me in the living room. She was right. Nina wouldn’t bat an eye if I were the one whose punishment was death. In fact, she would be happy that I was going to be killed, and therefore be out of this world, and her way of getting who she wanted, which was Will. But then, I wasn’t her. This is me, and I can’t bring myself to accept Will’s judgement. In fact, it was seeming more like Will had done something to ensure my calls wouldn’t get to him. Even Tristan wasn’t answering my calls, and it was certain it was on Will’s order, so I can’t blame him.I couldn’t even get angry
ALPHA WILL’S POVAs soon as we got to Los Angeles, I checked my wristwatch, and noticed I still had time, and I could even get to the hotel before the client I’m meant to see, arrives.I wasn’t meant to come out for anything regarding business because I had a lot going on which I had to settle, but this was really important. It was about a contract which we had once signed, but there was something that needed to be changed in some of the terms and conditions, and my presence and signature was needed before it could be processed.Well, it was also a good distraction to take my mind off the fact that I had ordered the guards to behead Nina. That was the most suitable punishment for her. In fact, if there was any other punishment worse than death, I would give it to her.She had made me feel a bit less of an Alpha because of the way she managed to play me, and made
NADIA’S POVIt had been two days since Will stayed in his study, thinking of the perfect punishment to give Nina. Although, he allowed me in whenever I wanted to check up on him, but he didn’t come to sleep in the room. He ate, drank and did everything in his study. He had said that it was until he thought of the perfect punishment that he would find himself worthy to sleep by my side, and do things with me. Although, I understood how bad he still felt when he found out that I was framed, and then he turned his back against me when the world did. It was more like he was beating himself up, and several times, I had told him I had forgiven him, and it was fine.Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to be with me.“Will, it’s time you stop beating yourself up on this. Her being in the dungeon is enough punishment for the atrocities she has caused.” I said to him as I looked
NINA’S POVWho would have ever thought that I would end up in a dungeon, in my life? Worse, a dungeon in a place where I have ruled as a Luna. Where I have been respected, and revered. Much worse, my mom was also with me in this dungeon.I could imagine my father shaking his head in disappointment at us. I didn’t listen to him when he pleaded for me to let go of the grudge I had on Nadia. But then, why did Nadia always have to pose as a threat to whatever I desire, or have?It wasn’t my fault that I tried several times to eliminate her. She had always made me uncomfortable, and I can’t keep on living in discomfort every single time. The dungeon was cold, and I stuck so close to the wall, wrapping my arms around my crouched knees. It was a bit dark, and spooky, making it certain that there could be spiders and some creepy crawlies. The thought that things that I h
ALPHA WILL’S POVI couldn’t believe my ears. So, all this while, I was being played by Nina, and she had her way at each stage she planned. It was so unbelievable that she could outsmart me, myself. How could all these happen, and I had no suspicion about this?It was so embarrassing as the memory of the time when Nadia was brought out to the meeting hall and was being interrogated, but nothing worked in her favor- came to my mind. Nadia had pleaded for me to believe her; although, she had no proof, but then, I ought to have been lenient. So, I played Nina’s pawn, and made my lover suffer all for nothing, and alone, all by herself. Anger filled me up like when water fills up a bucket to the brim. I got so furious that if it were possible, fire was going to flare out of my head, showing how dangerously angry I was.I slammed my hand on the table as I rose to my feet with a frown on m
NADIA’S POVSeeing as Nina was back, it was best to strike before she went out again. Judging from the past ways which Nina has worked, it was evident that she was the fast and smart type. Definitely, she was going to start planning something as she got home. So, it’s best for me to be faster and smarter, or I won’t know when all that I have planned would go down the drain, and she would again, win against me. As I woke the next morning, I immediately went to Will’s study as that must have been where he was, currently. If he was in his matrimonial bedroom, it would have been obvious. It’s either I hear him speaking out in anger to Nina, or he would barge out of the room. So, none of that happened for almost half an hour, last night. As I got to his study, I pushed open the door since it was slightly open, and I was met with his curious expression.&l
