ALPHA WILL'S POV
I clenched my fist, then picked up my phone which I had dropped on the table earlier.
I dialed Nina's number and placed the phone right by my ear, listening to the dialing tone.
Why was she taking time to answer her call? Was she ignoring me now, or what? I decided to hang up and call again as the dialing tone was getting me upset and irritated.
But before my thumb could press the red sign, the call connected.
“Hello.” I heard Nina's voice.
She seemed calm and not as disturbed as I was. Anyways, she is the culprit, so what did I expect?
“Without wasting much of my time, I'm calling to warn you not to say a word of what happened between us, to anyone. I repeat, to anyone.”
I paused to take a deep breath as my anger was getting to the peak, and I didn't want to star
NINA’S POVJust leaning on the rails of the balcony and staring at the busy streets ahead with a cup of coffee in my hand made me feel so refreshed.I closed my eyes, and held my face up to allow the fresh breeze to caress it and make me feel alive. The feeling of living your dreams, feeling on top of the world was one amazing thing that could ever happen to one.My thoughts drifting back to the wonderful intimate moment I had with Will was so electrifying. I had missed how good Will was in bed. It felt to me like I was in the heavens, dining, wining and relaxing with other heavenly beings.I just want more of it. All of me wanted more of Will and I couldn’t get my mind off how to get more of him. Obviously, marriage was the only way I could get him to myself as much as I wanted, and that marriage process was what was seeming tough.I straightened up, moving away from
NADIA’S POVHer pretty beady eyes, and captivating smile on that day made this photo one of the most beautiful photo we have taken together. We had just written a particular exam and had done well, so our joy knew no bounds that very day.My fingers trailed around the photo with my heart feeling a bit heavy. If only there were some days you could bring back and cherish it better, but that was enough. I shouldn’t be dwelling on the past.“Mom, who’s that lady beside you?” Zayn asked all of a sudden.I immediately hid the photo under a throw pillow beside me, and smiled at him. Gosh! Who knows how long he had been watching me staring at the photo? Then Zelda ran towards us with her pretty smile as captivating as always.Zayn and Zelda were the most beautiful possession of mine. They helped me get over the hurtful things I passed through before having t
NADIA’S POV“What’s wrong, Anna? Is everything alright?” I asked, out of concern. But Anna shook her head lightly with her mouth downward. I led her to the sofa, and sat her down, concerned about her expression.“What happened then, Anna? Speak up.” I urged her, and Mr. Wilson also adjusted to the tip of the chair to listen keenly to what Anna had to say.Anna sniffled, and then brought out her handkerchief from her bag, then wiped the tears that probably threatened to fall.“I… I was scammed, Nadia. And it hurts so bad that I don’t even know how to go about this. That was my life savings.” Anna finally spoke, with tears sliding down her face.My eyes widened in disbelief as it was really difficult to believe that such a thing happened to a woman as good and kind as Anna.“How did this
NADIA’S POV“And what do we want to talk about me that we haven’t talked about, Anna?” I questioned, with a smile on my face.“Well, it’s because you like to stay indoors most of the time, and don’t even want to mingle with anyone except Mr. Wilson, your children and I.”“So, where is this conversation heading to?”“Look Nadia, I found a man for you. I mean, someone you can trust and try to make things work out between you two. So, I need you to go on a blind date with him, this time.”I just knew she was about to say this again. I was tired of hearing about getting a man from her, while Mr. Wilson would also try to push me to revisit my past. These two were disturbing me a lot on matters I didn’t have interest in.If not for the fact that I cherish them, I would run from them, and cut ties with them.
NADIA’S POVBut then, his expression surprised me. I could tell he was hurt, but then a smile appeared on his face, covering the hurt expression.“I’m sorry if my presence here is uncomfortable, but we can change the topic if you don’t want to talk about the initial reason I came here. Although, I actually came to know you better. It’s fine, right?”I nodded my head awkwardly, and then pressed my knuckles. “Yeah, it’s fine.”He had actually reduced the tension, and made my first impression of him better. Unlike other men Anna wanted to set up a blind date with me, and I happened to meet on the streets, they had begged me, and some even embarrassed me publicly by trying to propose to me.This one in particular is cool.“So, with what I’ve heard, you’re not much of an outing type, so what do you do for fun?” Tho
NINA’S POV“No. This color doesn’t match with my mood today.” I muttered under my breath as I returned the brown gown into my wardrobe.I pinned down the left part of my lower lip with my teeth while thinking of what color that matched my mood. I wasn’t in the mood to wear the other clothes I had in my wardrobe, so I was having a difficult time getting what to wear.I tapped my feet while I ruffled through my wardrobe until my eyes caught a moderate and pretty orange gown.“Looks nice.” I said, with satisfaction.I put the gown on, and admired myself before the mirror. It was exactly what I wanted. After applying a light make up, I picked up my white hand bag to match with the gown’s color, and then walked out of the house. It was time for me to kick start my plan, and hope for positive outcomes.“T
ALPHA WILL’S POV“Here is the wine you asked for, Alpha.” Camila uttered as she served both Uncle Thompson and I a glass of wine each.“Thanks.” I appreciated her, and as she was done, she left our presence.“You really got yourself a good maid, Will. So fast, reliable, and knows how to appeal.” Uncle Thompson complimented Camila behind her back.“I know right? And that’s why I didn’t send her away.”Also, that’s why I tossed her over to Nadia, because I knew she was going to take good care of Nadia without I having to worry about anything. If Nadia and I had a baby, it would be no big deal to leave our child or children in Camila’s hands.“So, how has business been? Noticed that you’ve not been signing new deals in a long while.”“Uhm… About that, I’ll begin to sign
NADIA’S POVI rose to my feet immediately and ran towards the sound of Anna’s voice, with fear in my heart.“Where is he! Where is he!” I yelled at Anna as I searched around, and couldn’t find Zayn anywhere except for Zelda who ran up to me, and was crying out loud. Before I could get a response, Thomas dived into the water as he had spotted Zayn struggling in the water. The water was gradually moving him away from shore while he was trying to shout for help. I felt chills go down my spine, and I became frozen to an extent that I couldn’t move.Right before my eyes, my son was between life and death. Thomas seemed like a fast swimmer, and that was the only thing that still gave me hope, despite how scared I was. The moment Thomas grabbed Zayn, and began to swim back, I moved closer to the water, eagerly waiting for him to get out of the water.
NADIA'S POV.I walked back to the restaurant, smiling and greeting anyone who made eye contact with me. My joy was over the top. I couldn't help but express my happiness. It was a burning cauldron inside of him. When I got back to the restaurant, Titan and Anna were still talking, and laughing. It felt like they'd known each other for some time.I walked into the restaurant, and made my way towards them."Jeez, Alpha Titan was just telling me a funny joke. If you hear it, you'll burst into laughter." Anna said, vibrating with laughter."Okay… what's it?" I asked."Now, listen well. A duck, and a frog…" he began, and I paid attention, but by the time he was done, I burst into a shrill laughter I had fueled myself instead of Titan's joke.Anna had definitely fallen for Tit
NADIA'S POV.The next day, I went to Anna's room, and saw her scrolling through her phone, while she lay on the bed, with her back turned upwards."Hey." I called, with a smile, closing her door, and going to join her on the bed."Hey hey." She replied cheerfully, turning over, so her back was on the bed."What are you so engrossed in?" I asked, snatching her phone, and saw she was staring at the photo of a handsome young man."Woah. He's cool." I said, and she chuckled."Are married women allowed to say that?" She asked, and I laughed."What's wrong with appreciating beauty? You were doing the same thing, too." I shot back, passing her phone back to her, and she grinned."You know… there's actually someone who's as handsome as this. Maybe more." She said, biting the nail on her thumb.
NADIA’S POVThat night, I felt so good and relieved while I was on the bed with Will. To think that in the last few hours, I felt so depressed, and heartbroken. I didn’t know how I could live with the fact that Nina was going to die, and I wouldn’t see or hear of her anymore. No, it was best for her to be given the chance to atone for her sins, at least. And as her family member, I was the only one who could plead for her or make her freedom from death, happen. Will walked out of the bathroom, and cleaned his hair with his towel.“I hope you’re now satisfied, Nadia?” He asked, with a charming smile.I loved the atmosphere around. It was a light, and happy one. At least, our enemy was gone now, and we had given her a judgement that wouldn’t burden anyone. The only thing I hoped for was that she would learn her lessons, and turn a new leaf.
NADIA’S POV“Nadia, you need to stop brooding about this. It’s been two days now, and you aren’t eating as you ought to. All because of your half-sister who wouldn’t bat an eye if you were the one in that shoe?” Anna complained as she sat before me in the living room. She was right. Nina wouldn’t bat an eye if I were the one whose punishment was death. In fact, she would be happy that I was going to be killed, and therefore be out of this world, and her way of getting who she wanted, which was Will. But then, I wasn’t her. This is me, and I can’t bring myself to accept Will’s judgement. In fact, it was seeming more like Will had done something to ensure my calls wouldn’t get to him. Even Tristan wasn’t answering my calls, and it was certain it was on Will’s order, so I can’t blame him.I couldn’t even get angry
ALPHA WILL’S POVAs soon as we got to Los Angeles, I checked my wristwatch, and noticed I still had time, and I could even get to the hotel before the client I’m meant to see, arrives.I wasn’t meant to come out for anything regarding business because I had a lot going on which I had to settle, but this was really important. It was about a contract which we had once signed, but there was something that needed to be changed in some of the terms and conditions, and my presence and signature was needed before it could be processed.Well, it was also a good distraction to take my mind off the fact that I had ordered the guards to behead Nina. That was the most suitable punishment for her. In fact, if there was any other punishment worse than death, I would give it to her.She had made me feel a bit less of an Alpha because of the way she managed to play me, and made
NADIA’S POVIt had been two days since Will stayed in his study, thinking of the perfect punishment to give Nina. Although, he allowed me in whenever I wanted to check up on him, but he didn’t come to sleep in the room. He ate, drank and did everything in his study. He had said that it was until he thought of the perfect punishment that he would find himself worthy to sleep by my side, and do things with me. Although, I understood how bad he still felt when he found out that I was framed, and then he turned his back against me when the world did. It was more like he was beating himself up, and several times, I had told him I had forgiven him, and it was fine.Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to be with me.“Will, it’s time you stop beating yourself up on this. Her being in the dungeon is enough punishment for the atrocities she has caused.” I said to him as I looked
NINA’S POVWho would have ever thought that I would end up in a dungeon, in my life? Worse, a dungeon in a place where I have ruled as a Luna. Where I have been respected, and revered. Much worse, my mom was also with me in this dungeon.I could imagine my father shaking his head in disappointment at us. I didn’t listen to him when he pleaded for me to let go of the grudge I had on Nadia. But then, why did Nadia always have to pose as a threat to whatever I desire, or have?It wasn’t my fault that I tried several times to eliminate her. She had always made me uncomfortable, and I can’t keep on living in discomfort every single time. The dungeon was cold, and I stuck so close to the wall, wrapping my arms around my crouched knees. It was a bit dark, and spooky, making it certain that there could be spiders and some creepy crawlies. The thought that things that I h
ALPHA WILL’S POVI couldn’t believe my ears. So, all this while, I was being played by Nina, and she had her way at each stage she planned. It was so unbelievable that she could outsmart me, myself. How could all these happen, and I had no suspicion about this?It was so embarrassing as the memory of the time when Nadia was brought out to the meeting hall and was being interrogated, but nothing worked in her favor- came to my mind. Nadia had pleaded for me to believe her; although, she had no proof, but then, I ought to have been lenient. So, I played Nina’s pawn, and made my lover suffer all for nothing, and alone, all by herself. Anger filled me up like when water fills up a bucket to the brim. I got so furious that if it were possible, fire was going to flare out of my head, showing how dangerously angry I was.I slammed my hand on the table as I rose to my feet with a frown on m
NADIA’S POVSeeing as Nina was back, it was best to strike before she went out again. Judging from the past ways which Nina has worked, it was evident that she was the fast and smart type. Definitely, she was going to start planning something as she got home. So, it’s best for me to be faster and smarter, or I won’t know when all that I have planned would go down the drain, and she would again, win against me. As I woke the next morning, I immediately went to Will’s study as that must have been where he was, currently. If he was in his matrimonial bedroom, it would have been obvious. It’s either I hear him speaking out in anger to Nina, or he would barge out of the room. So, none of that happened for almost half an hour, last night. As I got to his study, I pushed open the door since it was slightly open, and I was met with his curious expression.&l
