My heart pounded violently in my chest, my feet frozen in place as my eyes flickered through the darkened woods.

What the hell am I doing here? And in my pink nightwear, no less?

I tried to recall how I had ended up in the middle of the forest, but no matter how hard I strained my memory, I came up empty.

“Your name is Zahra-Rose Drystan,” I murmured, trying to remember myself. Yes, that was my name. But that still didn’t explain why I was standing here, alone, trembling.

Then I heard voices as they got closer.

“She’s close. She couldn’t have gone far. When you find her, kill her. She’s the only one who can help her pack.”

She? Who is she?

Why am I hiding?

I willed my legs to move, to run or to ask questions, but they wouldn’t budge.

“What the hell?” The words slipped out before I could stop them.

A branch snapped nearby.

“Find her, she is nearby.” The order rang through the trees, followed by the sound of movement, branches rustling, leaves crunching underfoot.

They were searching f

ASHVIN HARVEY’S POVKai sat beside me as we listened to the endless complaints from the elders and the people as they grumbled about every minor inconvenience as if the world itself conspired against them. It was a good season for our pack. The grasses were flourishing, the seeds had begun germinating, and yet, they still found something to whine about.“I’ve heard you, Marcus,” I said, leaning back against my chair. “I’ll send some Omega farmers to look into your problem.”The old man nodded, smiling in satisfaction before bowing and rejoining the others.“Anyone else?” I asked, scanning the group. They exchanged glances, silently determining that they had nothing more to say. Good.I dismissed them, and one by one they filed out of the place. With their absence came silence.“They’re comfortable around you,” Kai remarked, standing and making his way to the table in front of me, casually leaning against it.He wasn’t wrong. Many of those men had trained me. I had pushed myself hard

(ZAHRA-ROSE’S POV)According to the law of the Four Realms, any pack with a new leader must present them to the other packs, including their Luna. Which is why I am preparing for a two day journey to the DarkEast Pack. I would rather spend my days training than traveling, but in this, I have no choice.Ashvin is doing this not just for tradition but for my family. The DarkEast Pack is the primary suspect in their disappearance and we have to go there to know what is really happening. “Remember, no matter how much you don’t want to do something, you have no choice but to follow through. In doing so, the people will know that he leads you first and when he leads you first, that makes him a good leader,” Luna Verena reminded me as we prepared to leave. That was one of the first lessons she taught me. If I respect my husband and Alpha, others will follow suit.I glance at my reflection in the mirror, second-guessing my outfit. It’s simple yet elegant, a fitted, short-sleeved beige blous

We arrived at DarkEast Pack late in the night. Alpha Deus Lennox, his Luna, Inara, their son, and future Alpha, Kairo Lennox, along with several elders, had been waiting for our arrival. When we arrived, they welcomed us with open arms.Luna Inara pulled me into a warm embrace.“You are so stunning,” she said, dragging her hands lightly down my arms, her sharp gaze never leaving mine.I thanked her politely as we all moved into the grand hall, where a lavish feast awaited us.Ashvin was already engaged in conversation with the other men, his expression calm yet composed as they welcomed him. He played his part well, relaxed, and amiable. There was nothing about their demeanor that seemed suspicious. Their expressions were open, warm, and even excited to host us. If they were truly involved in my family’s disappearance, they hid it well.“I heard what happened to your family…” Luna Inara said softly as we sat close to each other. “It’s truly tragic. The last time I saw your father, h

I woke up the next morning to an empty apartment. Blinking away the rest of the sleep from my eyes, I got out of bed and headed straight for the bathroom to freshen up.Maybe it was the uncertainty of what the day would bring, but I had already decided, today was meant for snooping around. I needed to familiarize myself with the pack and figure out what they had been up to.As soon as I stepped out of the bathroom, dressed and ready, a knock sounded at the door. I walked over and opened it to find Ashvin standing on the other side. His gaze lingered on me for a moment before he spoke. “Have you been up for a while?”I shook my head. “I just woke up.” Then, narrowing my eyes, I added, “You weren’t here when I woke up.” I almost asked where he had gone, but then I remembered, the room was bugged.“It’s okay,” he reassured me as he stepped inside. “We already got rid of all the bugs. You can talk freely now.”A deep sigh of relief escaped me. At least now, I didn’t have to be so guarded

  • The Stripper Alpha   Chapter 14

Ashvin Harvey’s POVI sat in a meeting with Alpha Deus of the DarkEast Pack, his son Kairo, and several of their pack elders. The discussion revolved around trade agreements between our packs, how much the DarkEast Pack could provide, given that my people, the survivors of MoonBright Pack, no longer had a home and were now under my protection. But Kairo seemed more interested in something else: how I could possibly be married to someone without a wolf.I had brushed off the topic multiple times, but he wouldn’t let it go. My patience was wearing thin, and Zen, my wolf, was on high alert, sensing the tension in the room. I could feel his readiness to pounce at any moment.“What if you meet your fated mate? What will become of her?” Kairo asked again, his voice laced with mock concern.I flexed my fingers, resisting the urge to break his nose.“I’m only looking out for your future, Alpha Ashvin,” he continued, his words grating on my nerves. “Your mate could appear at any time.”I turne

I got back to the apartment to find Zahra-Rose pacing restlessly across the room.Even in distress, she looked graceful, beautiful, and poised despite the worry etched across her delicate features. The way her hair cascaded over her shoulders made my wolf, Zen, stir with an instinctive possessiveness. She turned toward me as soon as I stepped through the door, her eyes brightening with anticipation.“Finally! I’ve been waiting for you since forever.” Her voice held a breathless edge as she sighed in relief.A small smile tugged at the corner of my mouth despite the heavy weight in my chest. The anticipation in her eyes made my heart skip a beat, and Zen was practically vibrating with excitement.“I hope you came with good news?” I said, brushing past her toward a chair. My mind was tangled with too many problems, and I desperately needed a moment to breathe, but I knew I wouldn’t get one until things were settled.“I met someone today.” Zahra’s tone brimmed with restrained excitement

  • The Stripper Alpha   Chapter 16

ZAHRA-ROSE’S POVWhatever they have planned, I’m calling it bullshit.I’m sitting on a chair as some she-wolves apply makeup to my face. Ugh, makeup. I hated it so much.Whenever my sister, Haelyn, who’s obsessed with this stuff, would practice on my face or whatever the hell she claimed she was doing, it always itched. I would end up wiping it off before anything could come of it.But now I can't. Not unless I wanted to defy the future Alpha’s orders, which would cause a scene. And somehow, I knew I needed to obey whatever they were planning, without asking questions.I don’t know how I knew, but when I turned to look at Ashvin as he spoke with Kairo, I could hear the words in his eyes.“Don’t fight them. Don’t worry about anything, I’m always here.”His lips never moved, but I heard the words as clearly as if he had spoken them.Goddess, I’m clearly crazier than I care to admit. So, to keep him from worrying, I sit still as they paint my face, hating every swipe of the brush and eve

Suddenly, his father, Alpha Deus, appeared from nowhere, the trail of Elders following behind him like dark wraiths.“Let us add a twist to this fight,” he announced, stepping to the edge of the arena. His gaze swept over the gathered wolves, predatory and sharp. He wasn’t just addressing the fighters, he was addressing everyone. What is the meaning of this? And what twist is he talking about now?I glanced at Ashvin, who sat there with his arms crossed, looking completely unbothered. A faint smile played on his lips as he watched Alpha Deus, who seemed far too pleased with himself.“And what is this twist?” someone called out when the Alpha let the silence drag too long.Deus’s gaze darkened, and his frown deepened as he spoke. His voice echoed with the weight of dominance, holding the attention of every wolf present.“We all know the concern of the two packs regarding the future of MoonBright. Their alpha left no heir, and it is foolish to allow the next leader to be chosen based on

As soon as I got into the car, I braced myself. Luna Verena had a lot to say, I just knew it.But to my surprise, she remained silent throughout the ride to the training grounds. The tension between us was thick, suffocating. I could practically hear her unspoken thoughts, and it made my wolf restless. When we arrived, I reached for the door, relieved that she hadn’t said a word. But who was I kidding?“I want to speak with you,” she finally said, her voice cutting through the silence like a blade. My hand fell away from the handle as I turned to face her. Of course, she wanted to talk.“Sure,” I replied, forcing a polite smile. But deep down, all I wanted was to get out of the car and away from this conversation.“I heard what happened back at the packhouse,” she said. “How your mate, Alpha Ashvin, punished some of the servants for what they said.”I narrowed my eyes. Out of everything that had happened today, this wasn’t what I expected her to bring up. And how did she even hear abo

ZAHRA-ROSEThe news of what had happened spread so quickly through the entire pack that by morning, it was no longer a secret.I had already braced myself for the weight of the day, everyone would be on edge, and that tension would only make things worse.Looking down at the simple outfit I had chosen for the day, I knew I didn’t want to step outside. But I had no choice, I was Luna now, and no matter how much I wished to stay hidden, I had to face the pack.As for Ashvin, he hadn’t returned since last night. I knew he was working tirelessly to uncover who had dared to set fire to our lands, to punish whoever was responsible.“I’m sure he will be alright. He will take care of everything,” Eira murmured in my mind.I wanted to believe her. But a deep, unsettling feeling lingered in my chest. After getting ready, I left my room and walked toward the dining area, where a table full of food awaited me. But I had no appetite. My stomach churned at the thought of forcing down even a single

ASHVIN HARVEY I stared at the ruins before me, my claws itching to unsheathe as rage curled at the back of my neck. The scent of burnt wood and scorched earth filled my nostrils, mixing with the lingering stench of smoke.I forced myself to hold back the fury simmering beneath my skin, my wolf, Zen, prowling inside me, restless and ready to tear into someone.“Control yourself,” I reminded myself, even as my hands clenched into fists.Kai had gone to check the wreckage while I stood there, watching my warriors try to put out the last of the flames. The crackling fire had died down, but the damage was already done.“Alpha Ashvin.”I turned sharply, my golden eyes locking onto one of the elders approaching me. His posture was stiff, his scent laced with apprehension. He knew how furious I was.“What do you want?” I bit out, my voice laced with the growl rumbling in my chest. I shouldn’t let this small act of destruction rattle me, but it did.“We have to find who did this,” the elder s

Ashvin helped me get to the pack house, ran a bath for me, and told me to relax while the scent of freshly cooked meat and roasted vegetables drifted from the table. My stomach growled in response.“Come eat with me,” I said before he could slip out the door.He paused, turning back toward me. His golden eyes darkened, the intensity behind them sharper than I had ever seen before. His gaze held mine, and slowly, so slowly, it drifted down to my lips. My heart hammered violently at the way his eyes lingered there.“I would love to,” his words dragged out, low and smooth. His eyes were still locked on my lips, a flicker of heat darkening his irises. “But I have a lot to do tonight. I hope you understand.”He didn’t move until I nodded reluctantly. Only then did he turn and slip out the door.At the sound of the door closing, I let out a shaky breath. Why was I suddenly so aware of him?Okay, it wasn’t sudden. Not really. But it was probably better that he had left… or else…..“I know wh

ZAHRA-ROSEThe nerves hit me hard as I walked toward the training grounds. My senses were sharper than ever. I could hear their voices loud and clear, not just the people nearby, but even those standing further away. Their breathing, the shuffle of their feet, the whispered words laced with suspicion and disdain, my ears picked up everything.I stopped walking, my heart hammering against my ribcage. It was overwhelming. Too much. I didn’t know how to shut it out.“Breathe, Zahra-Rose. I’m sure everything will be fine.”Her voice drifted through my mind, soft and steady, my wolf’s presence grounding me. I didn’t have a name for her yet, but her tone alone was enough to steady my spiraling thoughts.“Zahra-Rose.”I turned sharply at the familiar sound of the voice to see Ashvin’s mother, Luna Verena, walking toward me.I didn’t know why, but the moment I saw her, I felt calmer. Maybe because I knew she would be overseeing the training today.“Luna Verena.” I moved toward her and was ab

ASHVIN HARVEY’S POVMy mate.It still feels surreal. Just like her, I had searched for my mate, and at some point, I accepted that the Moon Goddess had never intended to give me one. With the strength she gave me, with the qualities that only a strong Alpha could possess, I knew it was a punishment, that was why she never gave me a helpmate.Until the day I met Zahra-Rose. I never knew my heart could beat for anything other than power and survival.Which is why I reprimand myself for feeling that way about my little brother’s planned mate. And yet, when I heard they weren’t mated, I felt a flicker of hope.If she didn’t have a wolf and I didn’t have a mate, what a perfect combination. That's what I told myself the day my father proposed that Zahra and I get married. And yet, when everything seemed to be going wrong for her, when the pack whispered behind her back and the gossip wouldn’t stop, her wolf showed up. And to my utmost relief, she is my mate. Mine.‘She belongs to us.’ Zen,

ZAHRA-ROSE POVMate.I could hear the word echoing in my head, his mate. Ashvin’s mate.As I trembled in his arms while he handed me a change of clothes, I still couldn’t believe what had happened.“You better believe it,” she spoke again, this time the happiness in her voice was impossible to contain. “I’ve been waiting for this forever.”I sighed as I pulled the dress over my aching body, my hands still shaking. I thought I was prepared for this. I thought I would know how to control myself. But the sound of her voice inside me still made me tremble.“I’m done,” I said softly, my voice barely above a whisper.Ashvin turned slowly, his golden eyes locking with mine. My heart skipped a beat. Looking at him right now, it all felt right.“Mate.” The wolf inside of me screamed again as if I hadn’t heard that word a thousand times already from her.“Come,” Ashvin said, extending his hand toward me.I hesitated for a second before placing my hand in his. Asael was by my side as I shifted back, offering me a change of clothes after the successful hunt.“You make this leadership thing look so easy. How do you do it?” he asked as I pulled on the shirt he handed me.Zen was exhausted, but satisfied. He loved coming out to play, to hunt, and to run beneath the full moon. The few hours we had just spent in the woods, hunting alongside the pack, had left him exhilarated. His low growl of contentment echoed through my mind.“That’s what makes me a true-born Alpha,” I answered, tossing the last piece of clothing over my body.Even now, I could still hear the high chants and music coming from the bonfire. Kai must have already presented the deer bodies from the hunt. The pack would feast well tonight. It had been satisfying to see Zen and Drew, Kai’s wolf, leading the hunt together. It had been a display of strength and unity, exactly what the Full Moon Festival was meant to symbolize.Asael still trailed behind me as I walked toward the bonfir

ASHVIN HARVEY’S POVI rushed to her side the moment her eyes fluttered open.“Are you alright?” I asked, my voice sharp with concern as her gaze swept the room. She rubbed her eyes, adjusting to the daylight spilling through the window.“Ashvin?” Her voice was soft, strained.“I’m here.” I took her hand as she sat up, her touch cool against my skin.“Water?” I offered, already reaching for the cup resting on the nightstand. She nodded, and I handed it to her.“Thank you,” she whispered before downing the water in loud gulps. Once finished, she set the cup aside and lay back down, closing her eyes, but she wasn’t asleep. Not yet.My jaw tightened as the memory of how she was brought here resurfaced. They had carried her, someone running with her limp body slung over his back.I had been furious when I returned from inspecting the mansion and discovered she was missing. It was early, too early for her to be wandering anywhere. I never expected her to leave the safety of the room. And ye
