Chapter 117: You're Free

On the island, Nathan and Sherry were sitting on the balcony. In these three days, Nathan had acted normally, asking her to sing and play the piano for him, talking about past memories, and enjoying activities by the beach. They had done everything they were supposed to do.

Sherry's body ached all over, and she spoke in a cold voice, "Nathan, the three days are over."

Nathan looked at her and opened his mouth to ask, "Sherry, do you hate me a lot?"

Hate him? Of course she did. On that night when she was eighteen, Sherry had almost been assaulted by her father's creditor. It was a night of heavy rain and thunder. Ever since, she had developed a fear of rainy nights.

She had endured her mother's suffering for three years, being deceived all along, and spent years without any freedom as a canary. How could she not hate him?

Seeing her silence, Nathan smiled and said, "Sherry, do you know? We met when we were fifteen."
