VIOLET-BLUE EYES watched the amber liquid swirl in the thick crystal glass. Now and then they shifted to the busy boulevard outside the limousine. He smiled to himself; it was a typical Friday night in Los Angeles everyone and their dog were out tonight. That's one of the reasons Lucas liked living here because the only difference between the night and day was the light. Then the crowds would shift from the streets to the clubs and provide him with the cover he needed. Lucas was on his way to a late gathering himself. He took a drink from the glass and shifted his gaze shifted to a group of four young men walking along the sidewalk, obviously with too much liquor in them by the way they clung to each other to keep themselves upright. He gave a faint smile at the lewd whoops and hollers they emitted as they passed by a group of young ladies. Physically Lucas looked about their age, when in fact he was much older. Usually, he liked to enjoy life the way they were, but unlike that
The driver wasn't in that group; therefore, he would live this night. He would have used hisdriver, but this man insisted on sending his own. Lucas didn't want to lose the deal over such a petty thing and he was hungry, so he agreed. He figured it was just a control issue Michael Reese had. Suddenly, his thoughts were violently interrupted by a powerful alluring feeling that enraptured his whole body like an electrical current. He shot forward in his seat, “Pull over.” Hespoke calmly to the driver despite his inner turmoil.“But sir, Mr. Rease said to…” The driver began to politely protest while looking over his shoulder warily.“I advise you to listen.” Jason immediately warned followed by a chilling stare at the driver. Fool, he thought.Lucas knew from Jason's menacing protective behavior that he flashed his eyes from dark brown to their animalistic amber. It was confirmed by the man palings several shades and instantly complying without another protest followed by „yes sir‟ wit
Elsa blushed yet again, but managed to smile at Linda's tease, “How long have we lived together?”“Point taken.” She giggled. Elsa was right; she should know her well by now. As she looked at her, the twinge of jealousy that haunted Linda resurfaced again and she did her best to squash it. She wasn't prepared for what she created. Elsa was indeed a rare beauty. Her heart-shaped face was complimented by striking emerald eyes, thick lashes, full lips, and high cheekbones. Linda had always envied Elsa's soft pale skin and flawless complexion. She never wore or ever needed to wear any makeup. Linda watched her absently sweep her naturally curly, ebony hair out of her face and off her shoulders so it cascaded halfway down her back. She silently scolded herself for her recently jealous feeling when Elsa shot her a vulnerable look of apprehension. She deserved a night of fun. Anyway, Elsa will be back to her no-shape clothes by tomorrow and the male species would still be hers for the cho
Just when he thought he could tolerate no more, he caught her scent. His inhuman sense of smell near did him in.The innocence that blossomed off her was so intoxicating and enticing that he'd forgotten about one hunger and replaced it with another. His mouth started to water simultaneously with the stirring in his groin. One thing was for sure, she was mortal. Every gorgeous inch of her was alive and pulsing with pure human. He had to touch her.He watched the beauty turn her head toward the car and mouth the words, "What’s going on?‟ with her full perfect lips. Sweet Christ! She was stunning. At that moment Linda turned her head to see the expansive stretch limousine that Elsa was referring to and smiled hopefully, “Wow, he's rich; maybe he's good looking too.”“Could be a gangster,” Stated Tanya not masking the concern in her voice.“Good. That would mean I'm right.” Linda added with more enthusiasm causing Tanya to scowl at her. It wasn't like she'd dated anyone like that befo
The two stared at her for a moment in awe. Tanya spoke first trying to downplay the episode, “Like I said Elsa, probably some mobster.” Although she said it, she didn't believe it. She just didn't want to get Elsa's hopes up. She still couldn't displace the deep terror the whole episode caused her. “What made you go up to him like that?”Unfazed Elsa brought her hand up to where he'd touched her cheek, “I don't know. He seemed familiar.” Then something else occurred to her, “How do you think he knew my name?”“We were talking rather loud.” Linda interjected, “Come on, let's go or we're going to be too late and I'll miss all the fun.” She smiled in excitement before turning and walking toward the house with a generous sway of her hips.Tanya shook her head as Linda's recent act of jealousy was practically dismissed by her regardless of how hurtful she could be. Tanya and Elsa followed close behind. The scene that had just occurred seemed to be a distant blur to her.At the same time

It took a few moments for Michael to realize that he had just been insulted. “What the hell are you talking about? I just sold this to you!” He shook the bag of coke that he held in his hand creating small puffs of white clouds in the air as it spilled out onto the cement floor, “You're crazy!”Jason took a step forward at the insult, Lucas held up his hand and motioned for him to stop without turning around, “You have created more death in your life than my kind has done in ours. Also, you are tainting our food supply. Something I don't appreciate.”Michael reached into his coat for his gun. This guy was nuts. He didn't have a clue what he was talking about. He knew he was stupid to come here unarmed and it didn't bother him one bit to wipe him off the face of the earth. His men also leveled their guns on Jason and Lucas with their boss's movements. Michael was shocked at the fact that the two expressions of the men took on amusement at three guns aimed at them.Lucas smirked as h
The next hour passed quite slowly, especially with the hub of partiers that we're unable to hold their liquor and make their way to the beach to vomit. She screwed up her face in disgust, not understanding why people did that to their bodies. It must be different when you don’t grow up with an alcoholic in the family, she thought. In between the vomiting guests, were couples looking for privacy or daring groups running down to the beach to skinny dip whipping off their clothes as they ran. It just made her inch closer to the shadows of the stairs hoping that no one saw her. Something bounced off her shoulder and she reached up to brush it off feeling nothing soon forgot about it. If this is what Linda and Tanya's idea of fun was, they would never drag her out again, she promised to herself. She felt so out of place because she couldn't see why and an event like this would be enjoyable. Again, she felt as though she was an outsider. However, she had to give it to Linda and Tanya,
