Chapter 48

(Flora Mana's POV)

Leo Wilson and I arrive at the hospital where my mother is after a journey of silence all the way.

But we have to be a loving couple once we get off the car.

The white building is approaching and the pure white of it sends an air of sacredness and peace.

Finally, the car stopped.

I need to get out of the car to play the role of a happy wife.

Being restless at the thought of the embarrassing experience last night, I squeeze my skirt.

But Leo Wilson opens the door for me at this moment.

"Flora, here we are." He says gently, without being bossy as he was last night.

I nod my head and get off the car.

He walks over to me and offers me his arm.

I take a deep breath and gently wrap my arm around him. I am silently telling myself not to think too much and to just finish the play for my mother to put her mind at ease.

He suddenly stops walking when he reaches the door.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Don't be so nervous, Flora," he reassures me in a gentle way.
