(Flora's POV)

The ward was peaceful and lonely as I idly lay alone in the hospital bed, listening to the footsteps of the doctors and nurses walking past. I felt a sense of pure bliss, of pure peacefulness and a taste of freedom. One that would have been impossible if Leo was around. Now that I was alone, I could communicate with others easily besides Leo. I closed my eyes, cherishing the moment like there was no tomorrow. During these days, things had been rough for me and I found it difficult just to get a moment of peacefulness for myself.

Just then, my moment of peace was interrupted by a sudden, loud knocking on the door.
