You're Not There

Wolf entered his house, took off his shoes, and walked upstairs while unbuttoning his shirts one by one. However, he stopped at the top of the stairs leading to the second floor. This was because he realized that his house was empty. There were no lights on the second floor. The lights in his room were not on.

He did come home later than expected because he met Sanchez, but just because the lights weren't on doesn't mean Zoe is already asleep. She usually kept a nightlight on.

Wolf grabbed his phone and dialed.

"Where are you? Why aren't you home?" Wolf asked, puzzled. Earlier, Zoe clearly said she would come home first.

"What do you mean? I'm at home," Zoe replied groggily.

"Where are you sleeping?" Wolf pressed on, moving forward and opening his room. Zoe wasn't there as expected.

"In my room," Zoe lazily answered.

"You're not at home! Where are you, actually?" Wolf was clearly annoyed.

"I'm at home! I spent some time with Darcy earlier. I'm already home!" Zoe snapped back, understa
