As Tobias responded, he sent Lucy a few photos that were at least 30 years old. The man in the photos appeared young but exuded an intimidating energy; he wasn't someone to be trifled with.

Tobias suggested, "Babe, it's getting late. Don't go back to the mountains; stay in the town. Go back tomorrow."

Lucy nodded and said, "I had the same idea. I'll hang up now and call you again at the hotel."

"Okay, I'll wait for you!"

They unwillingly ended the call. Lucy found Brett and said, "Brett, it's too late now. Let's stay in the town and head back to the mountains tomorrow."

Brett nodded. "Okay."

They booked two rooms in a nearby inn and stayed in separate rooms.

Brett received a call the moment he finished washing up. "Hello."

A surprised voice answered the phone. "Mr. Eberhard, we've finally reached you!"
