Brett could tell she had something to say. He nodded in assent and said, "Let's eat."

Lucy nodded. She ate while she fed Lisa and continued to take some food for Marcus. She felt content throughout the meal and momentarily forgot about her pain.

After lunch, Lisa told Lucy about her daily life. Lucy listened to her while she fed Lisa the grapes she had peeled.

Marcus, who watched on the side, nagged, "My daughter is biased and only cares about her mom. She is feeding her mom fruits while I get nothing!"

Marcus sounded like a child who didn't get any sweets as requested. When Lucy heard it, she couldn't help but laugh.

Rhett peeled apples and said, "Dad, daughters would always become slightly distant as they age. Let me peel some apples for you."

"Hmph!" Marcus pouted but happily accepted the apples Rhett brought to him. When Lucy saw it, she pursed her lips and snickered.

Brett was slightly nervous. "Lucy, about what happened before…"
