The next day, Tobias saw that Lucy hadn't woken up. He wanted to make it easier for himself to look after Lucy. So, he moved his office to the hospital and started working there.

Lucy was pretending to be unconscious, but she could hear him clacking away on the keyboard. She couldn't move a muscle, even if she wanted to. Just as she couldn't take it anymore, she heard someone knock on the door.

"Come in."

Kate entered the ward with a fruit basket. "Hi, Mr. Ripley. I heard that Mrs. Ripley is in the hospital. So, I brought her some fruits."

Tobias saw that it was Kate and put his document aside immediately. "You didn't come alone. Did you, Kate?"

Kate shook her head and pointed at the door. "I came here with Mom."

That was when Millie walked in and bowed awkwardly. "Hi, Mr. Ripley. Kate kept insisting on visiting Mrs. Ripley. I'm sorry for disturbing you two."

Tobias turned his gaze to the bed and sighed gently. "It's fine. She's still unconscious. Go ahead and see her."
